New location. Food and service still hits. Everything we ordered were great - P&L Caesar Salad, Elote Banh Xeo, Gà Rôti Frites. Love that they have indoor and outdoor seating too. Good spots for a date night or dinner with a group of friends.

First visit to the new locale. Beautiful, brighter but smaller space. Parking is certainly a lot easier here than Chinatown and the air "sweeter." Despite the short time open this place runs like a fine machine with professional seasoned staff. We loved the Shaking Beef and always get the soft serve, ice cream swirl! Mushroom and cashew pate was tasty despite the presentation. Can't wait to come back and try some of the favorites like ahi toast and wings.

Everything was amazing here. We came for the earliest dinner reservation right when they opened and it was our first time at the new location. The service was great and the food was so good. We got a bunch of appetizers and shared everything. I believe the menu rotates, but I would recommend the ahi toast, hamachi crudo, and LFC. I love the pho French dip, but that is only on the lunch menu. We went for our first date night as new parents, but we enjoyed seeing a lot of families with little ones! This restaurant seems like it could accommodate all types of folks, from young families, to young couples, to business dinners or nights out with friends. We will definitely be coming back!

Been meaning to try them out since they were downtown/Chinatown... Overall solid 4/5. Only gripe is it is pricey and the 6% kitchen fee on top of that. But whatever... Fair number of selections on the menu but apparently they change. Pretty good concept IMO. Tried a few items: Lamb skewers covered in leaves Pho 75 Blueberry cornbread flan Mezcal w/macnut vietnamese coffee - on paper, it doesn't sound good but in fruition, it works well. Of you like mezcal and coffee, must try. Ambiance is good. We sat at the bar. Service was good at the bar as well. I'll come back.

Dined in at 7 pm on a Saturday for a party of two. Made my reservation over a month in advance as it seems hard to get reservations closer to your date. Also celebrated my sisters birthday and noted it on my reservation. Atmosphere was lively and seating was a little tight. Our server was friendly and extremely helpful with explaining the menu and her recommendations. The espresso martini offered on their cocktail menu was absolutely delicious! I believe there was a little mezcal which was subtle and added a smoky flavor. The food was amazing and highly anticipated. We made sure to try as much as possible and the absolute stand out for me was the burrata! That caponata was amazing!! I never knew veggies could taste so rich and savory with deep sweetness! And with the burrata!!!! The fish entree was also very well flavored I believe it was swordfish? Pasta was also a great recommendation! I thought it was slightly salty but I could be a preference. Def need to come back and try the pho!!!! Dessert was also a hit we got all three options to go because we were so full!

Sat at the bar and service we received was phenomenal. Our bartender was great to give recommendations, quick to comment on what he thought would be great suggestions and made sure our waters were always full. Super attentive, and a great experience. I would sit at the bar again, because it does give a little more privacy as opposed to sitting on the major tables where you're close to the next party sitting closest to you. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee with their home-brewed recipe was delicious as always, and the Le Chicken Wings are always flavorful and on-point. The desserts were great as well. The Lilikoi Crunch was a little too Lilikoi for my liking but I did enjoy the texture of the crunch along with the mousse. The Sorbet swirl of laughing cow and apricot was delicious. Would definitely want to come back again since they are ALWAYS updating and reinventing their menu. Such an amazing place with great service. You're missing out if you don't go here!

Finally made it to Pig & the Lady's new Waialae location! I've been a fan of their Pho French Dip ever since the old Chinatown spot and at the KCC Farmers Market, so I was excited to see it still on the menu. One thing I love is the option to add a mini pho on the side. The brisket is incredibly tender, the broth is rich and flavorful, and the sandwich itself is packed with flavor. It's definitely a satisfying meal. The restaurant is clean, bright, and welcoming, with outdoor seating available as well. It gets very busy, though, so I'd recommend making a reservation whether you're coming for lunch or dinner. Service was fine but not particularly memorable, likely because the restaurant was packed during my visit. My only hesitation is the price. The sandwich is $23, and adding the mini pho brings the total to around $30 before tax and tip. While it's a delicious soup-and-sandwich combo, I'm not sure it's something I'd consider a great value for lunch on a regular basis. That said, the food is consistently excellent, and I'll definitely be back when the craving hits.

Secured a reservation months before my trip. Decided to check this place out of posts and recommendations. Now, my reviews are based on flavour and some of it is preferential with an open mind . The chicken wings were okay. Yes, it was crunchy but I've had other ones that were glazed better with the sauce and the wings here are on the bigger side compared to other places but it wasn't really moist. The sauce was teetering on the sour side. The Banh Xeo was okay too but the lettuce was small and the pickled vegetables again, was more sour. The pupus were actually good with the oyster being the best option for me And the Pho 75 again, was more on the sour note and a bit salty side for the broth. The oxtail needed just a tad more tenderness to be perfect for me. Very busy setting , lots of noise

First time trying their Kaimuki location! Wait time is still insanely long so they're not any less crowded but parking is much easier and there's outdoor seating now! Service is great too, we sat at the bar and were very well-taken care of by Kevin. He reminds me of Christopher Meloni. This is a true fusion place, and while they do the traditional elements of each dish well, it is not meant to taste at all like anything traditionally Vietnamese. - Ahi tataki: 5/5 favorite item on the menu! Such rich flavors, perfect no notes imo - Banh xeo elote: 5/5 second favorite item! The banh xeo is so excellently crispy and the elote's tartness complements it really well. - Stuffed peppers: 4/5 really great flavors - Washugu flank steak: 4/5 I'm very particular about steak and this cut was excellently rare with a decent sized portion but didn't come with any sides. - Ga roti lemongrass chicken: 4/5 fries are very crispy and chicken is very lean, tender and well-flavored but some parts were tough to eat and the flavors just didn't work as well imo. Tastes more like duck too which I didn't have a problem with but just to be noted. Overall food was really delicious and interesting, and would definitely come back!

Come here! The vibe is amazing the cocktails are fun but the food is memorable. We had such a lovely server who made the whole experience so personal and she offered such great ideas when we wanted to order too much food--she suggested a half size portion of items. She was right. We should have done the half size portion.

    Rachel M.

We really enjoyed our meal! Service here is amazing. What we ordered: - Tuna tataki 5/5 MUST GET this was my favorite thing - Scallops 2/5 scallops were sooo fresh but I personally prefer more salty/citrusy than sweet so didn't love the flavor - Grilled oysters 5/5 so good and butter - Chicken wings 5/5 love the nuoc mam flavor mixed w the peanut salad - Mushroom tagliatelle 4/5 - Pho 3/5 - spicier than I expected

I was very eager to try The Pig and The Lady on our recent vacation in Hawai'i. It's always interesting to see how chefs put their own creative spin on Vietnamese cuisine. More often than not, I end up disappointed, but here, I was pleasantly surprised.  I tried to make a reservation on OpenTable a little more than a week before our intended date and time, but the app did not show any vacancies. I called the restaurant to ask if we could walk in. They asked me when I wanted to come, and I said March 20th at 8:30pm. "I can make the reservation for you," said the hostess. Oh. Lol. That's nice (but also kinda weird). A prime example of "closed mouths don't get fed." Always ask, people! We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Not sooner, not later. They were very busy so we weren't able to sit sooner even though we arrived early. The inside of the restaurant felt modern and trendy while remaining casual. According to our receipt, our server was Monique. She was very nice, helped us navigate through the menu, and made excellent recommendations. We almost passed on the venison tartare, but at Monique's insistence, we got it. We're so glad we did because it was the best thing we had. The tartare on its own was already delicious. The pears added a light floral sweetness and the rau ram on top gave a nice peppery bite. When paired with the grilled cheese, it was so rich and flavorful. Texturally, it almost felt like pate. This dish was different, but creative and highlighted Vietnamese flavors and ingredients in such a delightful way. My cocktail for the night was the "Ooh, Ah, Oh Wow," which I assume are the remarks they intended me to have when I tasted it. What drew me to this drink was the "fish sauce" in the ingredients list. "Wow," I remarked. Can't get any more Vietnamese than that. So of course, I had to try it. Luckily, the fish sauce ended up being very subtle. The base of this drink was tequila and the leading flavor was tamarind. I assume the fish sauce helped to tone down the sweetness and add a bit of a savory, umami element. To be frank, I thought it was going to be gross, but I actually really enjoyed this cocktail. For our mains, we shared the ga roti, wagyushu frites, and spinach tagliatelle. Out of everything we ordered, I was most excited for the ga roti because I had this dish very often as a child. The meat was very tender and the sauce was just right. However, I was expecting a crispy skin, so when the skin wasn't crispy, I was a little disappointed. The steak and pasta were good. The steak was cooked perfectly, and I liked the sauce. The pasta was yummy. The browned butter with fried herb leaves on top felt very classic and the egg pop moment was perfect. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for dessert as it was getting close to 10pm, and we needed to get our car out of the garage before it closed. I did think that things took quite a bit of time to come out, but I wasn't too mad because everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious.  I had a great time at The Pig and The Lady. I was a little anxious coming in because growing up in California, I've had my fair share of butchered Vietnamese fusion cuisine. But this menu felt like it was created by someone who knows and loves Vietnamese food. I loved their Spring dinner menu, and would definitely return to experience what else they have to offer.

I was an average Viet food enjoyer until this place came along. WOW ! Their food was brinming with flavor and made me rethink the way I see Vietnamese food. We got the chicken wings (oh my gosh it was delicious). Not what I was expecting, it's four of these huge wings. But, the flavor was amazing and I loved the sauce. The shaken beef was very flavorful as well, just not my cup of tea. So good though! The french dip tasted great too and the pho actually blew my mind. It's been a while since I had broth this flavorful. The noodles are thicker as well which I like. The service was great; they packed up the food for me and they also were always checking up on us. Place itself is beautiful, you can also get your parking validated if you park in the Goodwill parking lot.

    Do they take walk in's?

Yes of course but they are very good so expect quite a wait. There is bar seating that might help shorten the time. It's totally worth it

    Is there parking?

Yes, at the Civil Beats Plaza parking structure, enter via Wilhelmina Rise. $2.50 for two hours with Pig and the Lady parking validation. Take the elevator to get to the front door of the Pig and the Lady.

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

I believe they have some deserts, but we have never tried any, because their portion sizes are generous and we're usually too full to think about deserts. Delicious viet food in Ward area. Clean with minimal decor and friendly staff…read more IG and Yelp pics recommended the Canoe Bone Marrow so we made sure to order that. It was very good but you need to order a baguette on the side to eat it with. They were out of banh beo but we got the bahn xeo which was really good. I recommend the shaken beef salad too. Beef was flavorful and tender. Crispy spring rolls and pork banh mi were good too

An Di Dzo did not disappoint! Planned to treat my girlfriend to a long-overdue catch-up session…read more Made reservations at 5 pm. When we arrived, we were the first guests so got to pick our table. When we sat down at the pretty wooden booth, there was a happy hour menu on the table. What?!? And YAY!! There was a 2-for special on the cocktails and you could select from the full menu which featured an extravagant and eclectic selection. There were wine and beer specials too but we were here for the cocktails. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the vegan spring rolls, chicken wings, and the Bo Ne Steak--a Vietnamese breakfast with bone marrow, cubed steak, sunny side eggs and a baguette. I can vouch for the spring rolls, light and crunchy without being oily. I don't eat land animals but my friend said the wings were divine. And they give you gloves to eat them. So civilized (ha) and a nice touch! She loved the bone marrow and steak. There was so much food she didn't finish it so I took it home to the hubby who devoured it. No complaints and only smiles from him! I wanted to try a couple pescatarian dishes from the regular menu so ordered the lemongrass clams which was AH-mazing! Could have been my favorite dish of the night because the flavors were unexpected but undeniably good. And, the garlic salmon bun (vermicelli noodles) was fantastic. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was savory yet light. I've never seen this option at any other Vietnamese restaurant and it certainly elevates the traditional dish which usually comes with meat, tofu, or spring rolls. (You can still order the bun with these options and they let you choose your protein combos.) Finally, (I told you there was a lot of food) we ordered the banana blossom salad. I rarely see this offering at other Vietnamese restaurants. It's hard to describe but I refer to this dish as the red-carpet version of the green papaya salad. It's more dressed up and sophisticated. A real treat and a must-have if you're dining at An Di Dzo. Parking was easy since it's at Ward (by the theaters or you can park anywhere in the village). The restaurant is clean and modern. And the service was courteous and professional. Our server Alex was great and made the evening extra special. An Di Dzo is open for lunch and dinner. They also offer some vegan options so I'll be back. Hubby enjoyed the leftovers so much he wants to give it a dine-in try. You don't have to ask me twice! Highly recommend you give them a try, too.

Chinatown has a lot of crime and homeless in the area so I would firstly recommend to go when the market is busy! 7am-12pm is a sweet spot where the food, produce and everything in the area comes alive. I'm Vietnamese and it was a very affirming and comforting experience for me when so many other Vietnamese folks came first thing in the morning to get their grub at Thuong An Lac. That's when you know you've found THE spot. Major Recommendations: -Viet Iced Coffee (prob the best you'll find on island easily) -Beef Stew + Baguette (so HEARTY. I've had both vegan and non vegan beef stews and it's spot on) We loved everything we got there. The water they serve you has pandan in it and tastes very very good. I still think about it!! There's so much love squeezed into everything they have there. They also sell a lot of snacks that they make and it's honestly FIRE as well. A lot of customers came in for the snacks too. Parking: There's a lot of nearby parking ranging from $2-6. A lot of people opt for the Chinatown municipal parking. It'll be a bit of a walk so plan accordingly. The restaurant is small and can only have a few parties in at a time. It's no frills but feels like you're just visiting your Aunt or Grandma's house. Prices are fair, not overpriced. Fun fact, they're TOP 100 vegan restaurants in the US. You're in for a treat. Please note: they only take cash tips! Consider this if you go :)

It's tucked away in the entrance of Chinatown Market, making it a true hidden gem. My favorite is the "beef" noodle soup. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful--you'd never guess it's completely vegan. I also highly recommend the taro spring rolls, which are crispy, delicious, and the perfect appetizer. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it may not be able to accommodate larger groups. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. As someone who loves noodle soup, I appreciate being able to enjoy such a satisfying meal while knowing it's entirely plant-based. I'll definitely be back!

You already know the beef was good or it wouldn't get a good review from me. Got the spring rolls which was nice and hot. Wrapped the spring roll, noodles and the carrot & daikon with the lettuce and dipped it into the sauce. Winnahs. For the main entrees got the crispy fried noodles with seafood. It's like the Vietnamese version of Chinese seafood with cake noodles. Very crunchy and tasty. Lots of seafood. The other entree was the combo sizling plate. Yes, the plate was sizling. The plate had pate, sausage, meatball, beef and a fried egg. I've never tasted anything like that before. It's not the usual taste that you're accustomed to but i enjoyed it. I thought it was good. Both entrees and the salad are good serving size. I like the spring rolls and wish had more but that's just me. The service is excellent even though it was pretty busy. The waiter apologized for being late but it was quite understandable. He's so polite. The lady who might be the owner was very pleasant and personable. It was a very good experience. The only thing that might be a slight problem like any other restaurant on Kapahulu is parking.

I'm usually more of a spring roll person, but these were so good and something I'd definitely order again. I had the brisket pho, and my boyfriend got the beef and flank pho. When I placed my order, I told the woman, "no cilantro" on anything. When I received my order, the soup was missing. When the woman brought the soup, I said again, "no cilantro." She said, yes. I paid and left. When I got home, I opened the salad and noticed a pile of basil and what appeared to be cilantro. It tasted like cilantro, too. So, I went back to the restaurant to return my order, as I no longer wanted any of it. When I got there, the woman told me that isn't cilantro, it's "culantro." She said she would refund my salad, but not the sandwich and proceeded to argue with me that she was doing me a favor because the salad did not have cilantro, even though she very well knows they taste the same. In any case, I left my entire order and was only refunded for the salad. I will dispute with my cc company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
