This small restaurant in this small town should get more recognition than it probably does. First…read moreof all the place is cute and cozy. Secondly we had to wait a few to be seated on a Friday evening. That's a good sign. We were sat within 5-10 mins. Our server (Brie) I believe was amazing. We asked her for suggestions. She was not shy and suggested the pork chops and Fish. Boy was she right! I got the catfish. I am not a huge catfish fan unless it is done right and CLEAN. Theirs is exactly that! Well seasoned and amazing! The hush puppies were hand made not frozen and were the best from a restaurant that I have had. I also. Had the baked potato, potato salad. Again easily the best I have ever had. Back to the battered and fried pork chops, unless you are able to eat enough for a family of 4 or the 1/2 portion. They were simply seasoned in a way that any chef should be proud of!! We took 3/4 home and airfares them the next day. He had the green beans with the chops and Lordy they could potentially make you slap your momma. Here's the thing. We eat out a lot and I do write a lot of reviews but this hands down was one the top 5 experiences in the last 3-4 years. This meal with drinks was only $38 before a nice cash tip on the table. I will be back again and again! I hope more people find this special place so close to Lake DeGray

Not bad BBQ, we got the pulled pork sandwich, beef sandwich, cole slaw, beans, and potato salad…read more The pros: The portion sizes on the sandwiches were good. Prices were very reasonable Service was quick Owners were friendly and polite. The beans were awesome! The cons: The sides seemed slightly on the smaller size. The meat seemed to be lightly seasoned, seemed like the main flavor came from the BBQ sauce which wasn't bad just seemed a little bland. Which was a surprise for BBQ, I guess I just had super high expectations because the place looked awesome, like a hidden gem where the owners smoked meat all day every day! So I was a little disappointed, but I don't want to be negative. But also maintain honesty. My recommendation, it was worth giving the place a try and if you are considering maybe you will enjoy it more than us, but we personally wouldn't go out of our way for a second visit. I recommend the owner toasts the sandwich bread, and maybe add a little bit of seasoning to the meat, add a few extra scoops to the side sizes and they will be looking great!
