The food here is super affordable and they give you a lot for the price you pay. I'm not a huge BBQ fan but my husband is so Yelp led me to this place for him. He saw "smoked spaghetti" on the menu and decided to give it a try. I thought it sounded kinda weird but it ended up being the BEST thing we ordered! We both couldn't stop digging into it. This place was highly recommended, so I went in with high expectations. The brisket was so bad. It was thinly sliced, dry and tough (it was difficult to cut with a knife. In my opinion a bbq joint must have a juicy, flavorful, falling-apart brisket. If I am confident I can yield a better meal in my oven, then this specialty bbq place is doing it wrong. We live in Southern California but visited our friends in Hot Springs in October, 2020 and again in March, 2021. During both trips we did take out at SS; two times each trip. In fact, during our 2021 trip, we drove straight from the Little Rock A/P to SS to pick up our rib dinner for the first evening. As I have said before, their BBQ is really, really good and I would recommend them without hesitation. We have tried their pork ribs, their pulled pork and their beans and baked potato, potato salad sides. This is the real deal folks; just outstanding BBQ. We were in Hot Springs, AK, boyhood home of President Bill Clinton, for a wedding. I was craving some southern bbq and was given this place as a recommendation from one of the locals. You get in line and order your food and then they give you a number. It was a quick and easy process.The price was affordable as well as the beer! A small pitcher of budlight (48oz.) was only $3! You can't beat that! There was even a drive thru! We ordered a full rack of ribs and a side of french fries and green beans. I wanted to order everything off the menu, but I knew I wouldn't have been able to finish it. I enjoyed the ribs, they were good and the meat fell off the bone. The sauces were good as well! It's cut super thin like deli meat and is very dry and chewy. I'm not sure if this is because of COVID, but I would not recommend eating here anymore. If you do, do NOT order their brisket. The coleslaw isn't Mayo based, which isn't a problem, but it's just bland. Like watery cabbage. The mustard potato salad got the job done. Menu was large, didn't take a lot of time to review, went right for what I was in the mood for....ribs, slaw and beans. You can't go wrong with that order.
