This is a meal - not a light dish style place. They offer fried fish and fried chicken and large meal, Harvey dishes that fill the belly and entertain the tongue! I recommend it when you're really hungry and you'll leave full and ready for a nap!

Chicken fried chicken. Good but gravy was too thick.

Ambiance was a little weird. We walked in and it was dead silent, so I felt like everybody stopped and looked at me. They finally did turn on some music. It's like eating in a big empty hall. Bbq was good but a little dry from sitting out. Portions were huge.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday. We came it right during the lunch rush. This was the first time we have ever been here and was a bit confused at first as we didn't know we were to sit ourselves. However, once we got ourselves settled and the waitress came, all was good. Service was excellent and although they were busy, it was still quick and professional. The atmosphere was pleasant. Big and open with a rustic feel. The food was excellent. Everything was cooked to expectation and fresh at hot.

The meal I had today would best be described as "Saturday's leftover BBQ warmed up on Wednesday for dinner." I got the Sampler Platter: brisket, pork, sausage and ribs, with BBQ beans and slaw. The brisket and the pork were dry. The sausage was good and the ribs fair. The beans were a thick paste like refried beans. They had simmered on the warmer too long or just got thick from reheating. A plate of microwave warmed food. The slaw was average like the service. The portions were large. Red Oak Filling Station is a big roomy building decorated with the standard BBQ joint scheme (barn tin, deer heads, and rough-cut lumber.) It probably fills up on Friday and Saturday night with beer drinkers and local's not wanting to cook dinner. There are plaques on the wall proclaiming recognition of the fine food. The testimonials did not match my experience. This was catfish Friday. I should have ordered catfish.

There is plenty of parking. The server was friendly and checked on us a few time. The restaurant wasn't too busy. The brisket was a little dry, the ribs were okay. The sausage was the best part of the meal. The baked beans were kind of mushy. My husband had the ribs and said the green beans were really good.

Very good BBQ spot. I had ribs, brisket Mac and cheese and baked beans. All were excellent. Ribs were meaty, no fat and fell off of the bone. I regretted only ordering 4 bones. Brisket Mac and cheese was very cheesy and creamy, brisket blended in perfectly. Baked beans were sweeter than I expected, had meat (pork I'd guess) in them. Wife had smothered chicken breast and liked it. She's not a BBQ fan so I was happy there were several nonBBQ choices for her. Server was friendly and attentive and dining area was nice. I'd definitely return.

Awesome service and phenomenal food and amazing desserts! Every serving is huge! We had a celebration for our granddaughter at this location. They made us feel so special!!

Fried pickle appetizer. My daughter called it "clumsy" cause all the breading kept falling off. Tasted great though! We were both fans.

The best country fried steak I've ever had. The best barbecue my husband ever had. (He had the sampler.)

The service was great. The restaurant was clean. The food would've probably been good if it wasn't served cold.

We were in town for a small Army buddy reunion. When I lived in Las Vegas we had a couple that were attached to a Long John Silver's and they weren't very good and there is one in Oklahoma where I now live that also is attached to a Long John Silver's and they have the worst reviews in town and pictures are terrible. This location is not attached and was very clean and organized. There is one located in Boulder City , Nevada about an hour outside of Las Vegas , near the dam that is the old stand alone restaurant and it's pretty good. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger , Fries , and a Large Root Beer Float. The burger was very good and fresh , pilled high. Fries were also fresh. I expected the root beer float to be in a Frosty Mug , but the cashier told me later when I asked him , that they will ask you if you want the frosty mug if you get the Regular Size , but one of my friends got a regular and he said the cashier didn't ask him. My friend also asked for the Cheese Curds and got French Fries instead. He didn't feel like waiting for them to make the right order , so he just ate the fries. They had some T-shirts for sale for $20.00 and you can also by different mugs to take home , 2 regular sized and 2 large ones with different designs on them. It is located next to a gas station before you get on the highway , so it's a convenient location and parking is good. I would recommend coming here for trip down memory lane. If I would've been here a couple more days I would've came back and tried the Chicken Sandwich.

There are signs all over saying open under new management, etc., so thought I'd check it out. I ordered the single Papa burger with fries and -of course- root beer. This was one of the best fast food burgers I've had in recent memory. I'm a Dave's fan, but this was really good. Fries were good, well seasoned and the root beer was as I remembered it as a kid. Also treated myself to a root beer float-- also excellent. Nice non-teenage people at the window and although the wait was a little long, it was late in the day and they cooked it all fresh. Check it out, folks! It is the ONLY one in Arkansas.

Located across the street from Bathhouse Row, the Ohio Club has had a long history in this town, having served gangsers, famous baseball players, and other celebrities. I can see why...I mean, they like great food and good drinks just as much as everyone else! The atmosphere is off-the-charts incredible and feels as if one is stepping back in time to 1920s America. Combine this with an amazing food menu and incredible drink selection, and you've got one helluva experience! Service was stellar...friendly and prompt. She was also very helpful with menu selections and drink choices, knowing exactly where to steer two virgins of the Ohio Club experience. We chose to share the Reuben, which was a great choice because it was so big. For drinks, we opted for the Ohio Rum Sour and Berry Ohio...never looking back as they were both delicious! We always strike-up an interesting conversation with people sitting at the bar. Several local beers on tap and we had the Space Force, an IPA, on both visits....very good. We split a Reuben sandwich with fries and it was excellent. I also ordered a side of fried okra, which was delicious and so hot, I had to let it cool before eating. The bartenders are always friendly and will talk if time allows. The whole place has a great vibe. Speaking of the okra, I noticed that on my bill I was charged $13 and change for it. I thought WOW, but gladly paid the bill. The more I thought about it, I figgered it must be an error. On our second trip, I mentioned it to the bartender and asked if it were possibly an error. It was an error and she asked me how to make it right (there was a logical explanation for the error). I made it clear that I was not complaining, just wanting clarification. She asked if a complimentary order of fried okra was OK....certainly! Great place and a Hot Springs icon. Highly recommend and dont skip it.
