Ambiance was chill. Very cool spot and vibe. Definitely not what I expected from looking at it passing by and from the outside. It Gia be me a cafeteria vibe looking at from the outside but when I walked in I got a down home bar feel. Had a bar, booths, tables (bar & regular). One of my first jobs was at a true Texas BBQ restaurant where I was first introduced to sliced beef brisket, onions, and baked beans with pulled pork in them, even the green beans had pulled pork in them for flavor. All this to say, I love my BBQ. How happy to have found The Piggy BBQ in little old North Dakota. The baked beans, the burnt ends, the garlic mashed potatoes, the cornbread with honey. It's a SOUTHERN GIRLS DREAM. I've eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. I most recently got takeout here, and it was packed so well. Shout out to them giving me extra sauce bc I forgot to put it on the online order, and even though there was already sauce in there, they gave me a good 4 ounces more! I'll be back. Bad service and everything is hella expensive and bad tasting (opinion). There's no variety and server assumes instead of asking. Aka, if you ask for bacon, they'll give you candied bacon without even asking. Server commented on how much food we got even though we just got enough for our family. The food we had was very good. We had a two month fiasco with the managers. I had paid my bill partially with cash (server was Logan) and my credit card. I never paid attention to the receipt. We are from Michigan in town to see our grandson play hockey. I noticed on my bank account that my credit card had been charged the full amount and I never got credit for the $50 cash I had paid. I made multiple phone calls with the managers for the past two months. (mostly talking with Sky) just yesterday she told me the owner had called me and discussed it, and she had not. She ended up telling me to contact my bank and she told my husband that they feel we are trying to scam them. We are two retired people and if we were trying to scam someone I think it would be for more than $50. Service was nice, didn't check on us very much though. The food was tolerable at best, the Buffalo chicken mac was overwhelmingly flavored and off putting. The cornbread we were served was inedible, the Bratwurst was so so, the Chips quite a bit too hard. The Beer selection was good, the Techno Viking was uniquely flavored and I loved it. Really close to a 5 star review! We popped in for a quick lunch today and was surprised by how quick it was! We were served quickly and efficiently. I had 4 bones of ribs, beef brisket, mac and cheese, cornbread, and a heaping pile of kettle chips! My wife tried the pulled pork and the little one had a hotdog with mac and cheese and chips. The ribs were meaty and juicy. Fell off the bones with minimal effort. The brisket was very good! Mac and cheese was fine, nothing to write home about. You could tell the cornbread was homemade. Very nice touch. We felt the pulled pork was a little dry but with just a little sauce was delicious! We're nitpicking at this point with the meats. We enjoyed all three meat selections! Mac & cheese had a floral taste. The chicken was dry. The Cornbread, 1 piece was a corner and was extremely hard, even the bits of corn in it were very dry and hard. It was a very odd, dense and had hardly any flavor. They forgot my desert, so I asked for a refund, I didn't want to take a chance. The food was actually a 5 but the service was the worst I've ever had. We waited at the bar for 25 minutes to order. He finally took our drink order and proceeded to ignore us for 20 more minutes. We moved to a table to hopefully get served. After 20 more minutes we asked to be served where the waitress and bartender argued about who should serve us.
