Great food and service! The portions are very generous. Save some room for the incredible dessert that calls to you as you enter the restaurant. This will be my go-to restaurant when passing through Hines.

Stopping over in Hines on our west coast trip, we needed a dinner place. All recommendations pointed to The Pine Room. It was busy when we got there so we had a bit of a wait. We were seated and it was indicated that it might take our server a little bit to get to us. Honestly, we didn't wait any longer than a typical restaurant that wasn't busy. All good. With its supper club vibe, the entrees include a shrimp cocktail, soup or salad, bread, and choice of potatoes. They do not scrimp on portions. Even my wine choice was a healthy pour. The room was decorated with lots hangings that felt homey and welcoming. I chose the pork chop as my entree. It was served nice and hot and cooked perfectly. It was a thicker, bone in cut, served with cinnamon apples on top. Very good. Salad was huge, shrimp cocktail was served in a small stemmed dish with a dollop of cocktail sauce on top. Garlic mashed potatoes were buttery and creamy. Our server was great. We enjoyed this stop.

Petite prime rib sandwich without peppers and onion rings

Not many options for dinner so we ended up here. We sat at a tabletop inside the bar section. I had their cheeseburger which had an excellent burger patty (7oz, with pork belly in it sooooo much flavor). The garlic Parmesan fries were fine too. My husband had the petite prime rib sandwich without peppers but the meat was not very flavorful. Onion rings were crispy. Service was outstanding!

This is an older restaurant that is big on giving you plenty to eat. Plan on bringing a big appetite at plan on taking home a to-go box. They do not skimp. Since I'm not a local asked the waitress for recommendations that won't break the bank. Her suggestions were either burgers or chicken alfredo. I went with the Alfredo and soup as the side. Today that was potato chowder. The meal also comes with 3 hearty slices of house made bread. The soup was the best chowder I've had, and it is a large portion. The bread is perfectly dense and the butter came out soft, not mushy,or frozen. The Alfredo was a great recommendation with perfectly cooked noodles and excellent chicken, covered in a very rich Alfredo sauce. Overall an outstanding meal. A couple of improvements that could be had: it may be time to re-cover the both seats and the flies were pesky. Made because I was sitting toward the front door. Finally, service was friendly and quick, with drink refills happening as needed. Well done McKenzie

    Dining area, wow

Its a dive for sure. Food was good and the portions were huge even for a half salad. Service was awesome. The booths need replacing nasty and torn up, dust in many places. Just passing through.

My goodness what a find! The Pine Room is all of 5 stars! First off our server Tori was first class and it went up hill from there. I had the Pork chop bone in excellent! Everything was above and beyond expectations. You will not be disappointed if you decide to have dinner there and if you do, ENJOY!

Clean restaurant with excellent food. Large; pool tables; lottery room; restaurant and bar. I ordered an asian chicken salad that was SOOOO GOOD Waitress and bartender very friendly. This will always be a stop on our way thru town.

    The place was filthy

Outside of the host and server being very friendly I can't say anything positive. I would never return and wanted to walk out because I was SO grossed out but I was too nervous to leave before our takeout came out. The place was filthy. Here are a few photos. I won't post what' I saw walking past the kitchen to the bathroom--the door was propped open. It was beyond! The doors to the kitchen the employees walk in and out of were so grimmed up...

Based on the menu, we were ready for a great meal. Unfortunately that did not happen. The place is fine looking but is a bit beat up (old decor, ripped seating, etc), but who cares with such great food items on the menu. The little shrimp cocktail, the dinner salad, the baked sweet potato were all delicious. BUT SKIP THE ENTREES. Not sure if there is a chef/cook in the kitchen or a some high school kids on summer break. The salmon was dry as can be, my chicken fried steak was dry and tough and had a taste like someone put old lemon juice on it. I love chicken fried steak and have eaten hundreds of them and this was the worst. Sent it back, which I never do, and instead got a burnt to a crisp burger with a burnt bun. We gave up on this place and I went to McDonalds.

Shrimp cocktail - comes with dinner entrees.

Our meal at The Pine Room was absolutely delightful. Our group came into the restaurant famished and left very full and happy. We were so impressed with the various appetizer, entree, and dessert options, and ordered a variety of dishes to sample the offerings. To start, the fresh bread and butter served before the meal is fantastic. I love a good basket of bread, but this herbed bread and butter was off the charts. Most of our dinners also came with a shrimp cocktail and a choice of soup or salad. Dinner sides include a choice of veggies, baked potato, mashed potato, potato casserole, baked sweet potato, or fries - lots of options for potato lovers! I opted for a burger, but there are also some vegetarian and pescatarian options, which were nice to see. We were all very happy with our meals. The staff was helpful and attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend The Pine Room to anyone looking for a solid, well-portioned meal near Burns. When we find ourselves in the area again, we'll be sure to stop in to enjoy another great meal.

Morgan's is one the usual bars Burnsians (Burnsites?) go to hang out at. The bartenders and…read morefriendly and if you go there often enough or are consistent with your order they pretty much have your drink ready by the time you walk from the door to the bar. As a dark beer lover I'm kind of out of luck here: the darkest beer is Nectar Ales' Humboldt Brown Hemp Ale in bottles, with nothing dark on tap. The prices are reasonable though. The layout is pretty straightforward: the front portion is split between a pool table and an open area for dancing, and the rear portion has the bar, some tables, and free table shuffleboard. In between the bar and the pool table is a fancy internet jukebox that allows you to play almost any song you want. Sometimes the bartenders don't like having to switch between the radio (which is away from the bar) and the jukebox though, and on one occasion just gave me my money back rather than make the switch. Secretly I think they just don't like my musical taste, which I can understand, but then why have the jukebox? On weekend nights they have a DJ playing music. No jukebox allowed, however he does take requests and has played everything I've ever requested which is cool. The standard playlist includes a lot of hip hop, which seems very unlike Burns. Since I come here pretty regularly I have noticed that the same songs get played pretty much every weekend; I would love some more variety. At this point Morgan's is the spot to go in Burns. If they had darker beer and occasionally played some punk rock I would never go anywhere else.

For a beer we were charged 2.00 and 1.50.. they must have had some sort of happy hour. It was right down the street from our motel so we could walk to it. They also had a porch in the rear for smokers.
