We also considered renting a wheelchaor or walker for Dad while we were there. They had monthly and daily rental options with reasonable prices and a large selection. I didn't get her name, but the fitter that serviced us today was very knowledgeable about the sizing of bras and was able to help my friend a lot and was very patient with her. The only down side was i wasn't a huge fan of the person doing the fitting walking away from my friend for several minutes at a time (way longer than necessary to change in and out of different bras) and even took a call from a customer in the middle of the service, so i would like to see them be more attentive to someone that has appointment they paid for. I can't dock them a star for that because the experience was definitely worth the one inconvenience, it just didnt feel great. In this day and age with currency and checks being obsolete, this is a big disadvantage. Also, if you write a check, the check is made out to the owners name, not the business name. So be prepared. I've been purchasing these types of supplies since 2018 with no problem and my insurance has always covered the costs. This time, I was required to pay an estimated co-pay. I thought it was peculiar but the staff told me they checked my insurance and that is the co-pay they were provided. Ok, I paid. I didn't realize until after I left 1 of the items was priced off the charts. $367 for a bra. Yes, you read that correctly. Online, this very same bra is available from reputable companies for $65. Next comes the EOB from my insurance company. The co-pay on my EOB was $30 less than what I was charged. The next day I receive another bill from Lingerie Line for an additional $130. I called Lingerie Line to ask for clarification on the difference between the co-pay on the EOB and the co-pay I was charged and the additional bill received as anyone would do. I was told the additional charge is due to my insurance company not paying any portion of the $367 bra. They were applying a discount, but charging me for the expense of the bra. Ok. I asked if the insurance company gave a reason for not paying or if the CPT code was wrong. This is a reasonable question and I could feel the tension starting from the staff in her tone as she told me no it was not anything she did. I wasn't implying that, I was only asking what happened. I also asked about the cost of the bra and that the same bra is available online for $65. What happened next, blew me away. She went off on me ranting and telling me no one forced me to buy the bra, it was my choice, her time is valuable and is factored into the cost of the bra and online stores won't help you and I should just go somewhere else and buy my supplies. I don't know what kind of bad day this person was having but it was not at all professional or warranted. I was only asking a question about the price difference. Any NORMAL person would do the same. I was not nasty or offensive. I asked a question and got handed my head in my hand. There was no need for this reaction. I'm still in shock at how she spoke to me. This type of store and service is so important for women and I've been to other store of similar nature in San Antonio like Lady Like or Pink Boutique and have always been treated with dignity and kindness. This was the complete opposite. I will never return to this business. I want to let others know to be weary of this business. You will pay more than other stores, even those that spend time with you, perform personal fittings and bill your insurance. This was too bad not to let the public know what just happened. It's located off the street in a non descript storefront but once you step inside, you know you're in a female friendly space. Ms Tina asked about the problems I was experiencing with my current fit and then literally sized me up. I went from a 40D to a customized 38G which fit like a glove. While she was busy providing the individualized fitting. I mused about the price, think it would be over $100 for each handmade brassiere so I was thrilled to hear the bras run under $75. Which is still a lot for a single bra compared to department store brands but the quality was outstanding. She explained how they are made and that you can also customize the look.
