We'd seen this truck out a few times, and after following them on IG, and seeing when they're there, we decided to give them a try. We tried a chicken shawarma plate, a steak shawarma wrap and chicken shawarma fries. I liked the plate for the flavor of the chicken and the way it tasted with the perfectly cooked rice. The meats both had really great flavor. The spices and citrus completed them nicely. The wrap was good, and the added crunchy and more acidic toppings complimented it well. I was slightly disappointed in the shawarma fries - they didn't quite hit the spot for me. I'm typically a crispy fry girl and these were really soft. Also, I wished they had some of the same toppings as the steak wrap did, or spicy sauce, because they seemed overly heavy and could have used the acidity to kind of cut through it all. Reading other reviews afterward made me wish I'd asked for the spicy sauce and kind of sad they didn't offer or suggest it while we were there. We both love a good added heat to our food. The prices sure did add up quickly here tho. Our total came to $48, for those three things and a can of Coke. I don't mind paying for good food, but this was a bit overpriced for me. *If/when I were to give them a try again, I think it'd order the plate, and with both meats, and ask for a side of spicy sauce. read more

I had seen them on Instagram and thought "hey that looks good!" Well, today I finally ventured out there on my lunch break and I am glad that I did. I got the chicken Schwartzman combo with rice, tabouli, and hummus. I also got an order of 3 pieces of falafel. Everything had so much flavor. The falafel is the best I've had in the city. I had seen this food truck on social media and by the looks of the pictures it warranted a trip downtown to test it out. While the website and Instagram indicate it opened at 12 noon, it didn't actually open until 12:30 on the day we visited, not sure if it was just an off day or it's usually late opening. Not a big deal but the day we went it was a 100 degree day so waiting an extra 30 min in the hot sun was killer. Now, the food- it was excellent. We sampled the steak loaded hummus and the chicken pita. Full of flavor and portion size was good. They don't post prices on their website or social media so you don't really know until you go. Just finished up our dinner from here! We'd heard about them from our neighborhood Facebook page and I am all about supporting small, local businesses! I asked for a suggestion on what to order and the cashier was very helpful. I decided on the steak combo plate for myself and chicken combo plate for my husband.
