I've been to this place more than four times already, as a dine in customer. Ordered twice for pickup. Delivery is too far for them, so I don't mind pick up, BECAUSE their food have not disappointed me. I don't expect them to disappoint me anyway, because the service and their delivery of food and recipes always leave me feeling satisfied. I love the size of the sausage they they use on the pizzas. I love this place so much. My wife and I live just around the corner and we eat here quite often. The food is delicious and the prices are really reasonable. We particularly like the garlic knots, mozz sticks, and bada bing pizza. We typically order delivery and their online ordering option is super convenient. There are occasional hiccups as with every place but the owner has always been right on top of getting them handles lightning fast. He's super friendly and always very attentive to feedback. I really wanted to try this pizza Saturday night but the person working turned me around at the door. He claimed that the place was closed but there was still 30 min left and the door was open. There was no one inside and it looked very dead. I guess the employee was just tired and didn't want to make anything and was ready to go home. The sauce is piquant, the crust is chewy and perfect; the sausage was very good; they even have GREEN OLIVES! I am astonished to find this hidden gem! Plus it's Veteran owned and operated. Was a long-time customer of The Pizza Joint for years. I emphasize the word *WAS*. I called this past Saturday night to place an order for pickup. Evidently, teh staff there think it's funny to mess wth the customers. The clown who answered was pretending he couldn't hear me. Then when I placed my order, he pretended again ti not hear me. I kept saying I wanted a grape soda. "A what? I can't hear you.'!" I practically yelled A GRAPE SODA" at him and again he pretended not to understand. At that point, I said forget it and hung up. Awesome place to get pizza when you're craving it. I ordered for takeout and it was ready in about 15-20 minutes! I also love that they have cool flavors like the chicken alfredo pizza and steak pizza. Their wings are also spot on with my fav being garlic parm. This place is located in the pinellas park area with lots of parking as it is in a shopping center. I'll just have to be honest. I ordered pizza from the joint to be picked up by me. The pizza really had a great look and plenty of toppings. It was ready when I got there to pick it up. Like I said the pizza had very good eye appeal but it just did not have a great taste. It was line they left the seasoning off. I hate to bad mouth this pizza but first bite I said it needs salt. So I put salt. It still just didn't have the taste I am accustom to. I will try it again on the weekend to see if it is better then. Sorry for not liking and raving about it but this is my opinion. Had to feed a few people on the job site, good recommendations so Door Dash to the rescue! Order 2 pies with everything, 1 thin crust and one regular! Ordered several Caprese Salads and drinks, great choices! The pizza as awesome, great sauce and huge fresh toppings. Caprese salad was classic, nice tomatoes, homemade mozzarella and fresh basil. Solid 4 stars for this place. My husband and I recently ordered delivery here including a salad, buffalo shrimp, and a 14" pizza. The salad was pretty standard, but fresh, and we liked that it included chopped up ingredients with dressing on the side. We weren't big fans of the buffalo shrimp; it kind of tasted like frozen breaded shrimp that was cooked and then had some buffalo sauce dumped on it in the to go container... not terrible, but not ideal. The pizza was very good. Nice flavor to the sauce and a good crust-to-chees ratio without being super greasy. My husbands new favorite pizza place. I'm writing this review for him. I don't like my husband eating pizza that often, so when he does it is a special occasion. He looked up pizza places close by and this got the best reviews. (For reference, his favorite pizza place is Chubbys, but it is too far). There is a special where for $24 you get 14 inch 1 topping pizza, 12 wings, and 2 liter soda. What is funny is the same night I went out for sashimi and also spent around $24. He definitely got more food. He says the wings are delicious. He thinks they would probably be better if eaten at the restaurant, but still very good. He also liked the pizza. He said it is crispy, not doughy, just the way he likes it. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to get all the food once ordered. This is our new pizza place. read more

Just discovered The Pizza Joint about a month ago and to tell you the truth we aren't too adventurous on our pizza choices. My wifey hates veggies and usually only gets sausage. I love to try new things but I have to keep it simple. Today we ordered a medium pizza with half sausage and half pepperoni/onions. It's pretty delicious and since its Mother's Day weekend I added cheese sticks. The cheese sticks aren't that great that though. What I do love though is that the crust is thin but not too thin and the sauce is very light which I love! I hate it when it's so saucy that it hurts the roof of your mouth. I placed an order through uber eats and beware, they do there own delivery and can just cancel it when they feel neccessary. I understand it can get busy, but for me they didnt cancel it correctly and I waited 2 hrs for a pizza that never came. I tried to call the restuarant 8 different times but it went straight to a voicemail without being able to leave a voicemail because they didnt set it up. I tried to cancel the order but since they didnt cancel it correctly, i was going to be charged. Even after 2 HOURS. I had to literally drive to the location and they canceled it then successfully. I left a review but the owner didnt care. He responded by saying it was uber's fault and hope you have a better experience next time. Well there will be no next time.
