I placed an order through uber eats and beware, they do there own delivery and can just cancel it when they feel neccessary. I understand it can get busy, but for me they didnt cancel it correctly and I waited 2 hrs for a pizza that never came. I tried to call the restuarant 8 different times but it went straight to a voicemail without being able to leave a voicemail because they didnt set it up. I tried to cancel the order but since they didnt cancel it correctly, i was going to be charged. Even after 2 HOURS. I had to literally drive to the location and they canceled it then successfully. I left a review but the owner didnt care. He responded by saying it was uber's fault and hope you have a better experience next time. Well there will be no next time. The cheese and toppings were I be again nothing to write home about, the sausage brings tiny bits that I would feel bad feeding the dog. I had the best baked meatball sub, in many years. The pizza was good too, BF said he was just not used to a good new York style pizza. He normally gets that 5 dollar pizza at you know where. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! If you're looking for fresh, flavorful New York style pizza, this is the place to go. Not only is their food amazing, but their customer service is second to none. I love finding small businesses that not only have a great product but treat you like they actually want your business. Though we usually get delivery, on one of our dine-in visits, my 5 year old was talking the owner's ear off as he tends to do and he not only humored him but he even brought him back in the kitchen and let him check it out. I really missed eating good pizza when I had to go gluten free for health reasons, but The Pizza Joint has saved the day. This place has the best gluten free pizza I have had in the 3 years since giving up gluten. Your pizza is cooked in it's own tin so cross contamination isn't an issue. I started going to the pizza joint about 10 years ago they had the best pizza I had found in Pinellas County. I went there every time I was in the area since I lived about 10 miles away it was about once a month. 7 years ago I moved a a mile from The Pizza Joint I was in heaven my favorite pizza could be delivered. I was told that they weren't able to get the right flower that day. It's been 7 months since I bout that pizza. I ordered one yesterday. You may think I'm being disgruntled or stretching this review. But it's now the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust is a pre made crust a heat and serve crust it has no flavor or flower on the bottom or does it bubble like a homage dough crust. The sausage is pre bought pork sausage crumble. It's bought in 5 lb bags. I know I used to work for an Italian resteraunt supply company. The sauce and sausage has no flavor. No garlic taste or Italian seasoning at all. The mozzeralla cheese is part skim that's also bulk bag bought. To sum it up I test like the worst frozen pizza you've ever had. You can tell instantly on the first bite that it's all pre bought materials if you know pizza. Now or you want good A Fortunatos pizzae that has been around for years on Park Street but to far away now has a new pick up place a half mile from the pizza joint on Park Blvd. beside Publix. Now I've known there pizza is excellent for years but to far to drive to pick up. Now it's 5 blocks from my home. It's to bad about The Pizza Joint it was very good at one time. But I made out now with Fourtunautos. I wrote a great review on the pizza joint years ago not sure were maybe here so I give good reviews on places all the time but I had to place this one so people won't go and waste there money. My husband and my daughter went into the joint yesterday. They ate onsite. They each ordered a half of a Stromboli not knowing how big they were. They both were shocked to see that one was enough to feed two grown men. They sent me pictures of how big only half was. Tonight we ordered a Full Stromboli because there is 5 of us knowing what they bought yesterday would feed us all. We waited an hour and 15 min (which was fine) and by the time we opened the box and realized they only sent half of a Stromboli we tried to catch the driver however he had left already. We called the store and the guy told me that a full Stromboli was literally on the half they had yesterday! I have pics guys it was a lie. I explained to him again what they bought in store only to be told I didn't know what I was talking about that we received a whole. I guess if you eat inside they don't rip you off but if you have it delivered they tell you that that is what you ordered to bad. We even tipped well before they arrived so sad with the lack of customer service and that we were cheated out of the food we ordered. WE never leave a review unless it is totally outstanding or EXTREMLY ridiculous bad. A friend recommended this place and said to try the chicken parm. The noodles and sauce were good but the chicken.....no way. There's no possible way that what they use is real chicken. It tastes as frozen and processed as you can imagine. I mean, I've had a better breast of chicken on a Wendy's chicken sandwich, come on now......if they would switch to a better quality of product, I'd be more than willing to order from there again but after this, I can't imagine the rest of their food. I experienced these guys' service for the first time today, on vacation from Central Florida. I ordered plain spaghetti (sue me), bread and butter, and two slices of cheese pizza. They told me the wait time would be 30-40 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came in 15 minutes. My bread was delicious, the pizza was great too. Two very large slices that weren't too oily, but also didn't lack proper seasoning or cheese. But then it all hit the fan. I told you I ordered plain spaghetti, right? You'd think if I ordered plain spaghetti, I'd get plain spaghetti, right? Nope. It came swimming in tomato sauce. I was quite disappointed, because it was not what I ordered. But to be honest, I was stuffed from my bread and pizza, so I just stopped there. The delivery man was an older looking gentleman, with white hair and beard. My first experience with The Pizza Joint was when I asked them to cater my daughter's birthday party. I ordered baked ziti for 30 people...man, I got enough food to feed 100, lol. And it was delicious! The kids loved it all: the garlic knots, the ziti, the salad, everything. And the ziti was even better the next night as leftovers! Since that was a good experience, I decided to switch it up and get our traditional Friday night pizza from The Pizza Joint. Again, delicious! Even my husband - who is not a giant pizza fan - commented about how good it was and how fresh the ingredients tasted. I have not ordered from the pizza joint for a while since Fortunados opened up on Park blvd. We used to order every Sat for my office and the pizza started to become inconsistent. So we decided to give them a chance today. I always ask for the 18 inch pie which I made it very clear i wanted. Revel the spanish manager took my order and was pretty cool. He told me he has a 2 large up to five toppings for $23.00. I made it clear again I wanted 18 inch pies. So they sent me 2 small 14 inch pies that were dry and had no crust. My girl called up Revel and asked him why they sent 2 small pies since she is a pizza cook at a shop in clearwater. She knows the business and expected a credit or something. Revel told her to get loss and take our business elsewhere. I would made him eat his words had I used a credit card like I normally do. But since I did not he pulled the hood rat move and hung up. Please use a credit card if you order from these shisters in the future so you can charge their asses back. We ended up throwing these dry pies out and reordered form Fortunado's, which happens to have the best pizza in the area anyway. I am making my rounds and will post negative comments every place I can. I am calling the health department to have them pay a visit just to make sure the joint is up to par. They are fairly new to the area. I broke one of my cardinal rules, which is always give a restaurant some time before trying it, and ordered the first week they were open! I was desperate for delivery and tired of the same ol' same ol'. That said, I really like the food here. The buffalo shrimp is my favorite thing here. The boys love the cheesesteak sandwhich. I've also had the wings, fried mushrooms and salad. Yes, that is correct I have not tried the pizza! The food always shows up hot and the orders is always correct. They have a coupon for 2 philly cheesesteaks or any two sammies for $10.99 (excluding the veal parm) I think that's a deal as they are huge! Huge as in I eat 1/2 for dinner and 1/2 for lunch the next day. I have not seen the inside but I know it's been remodeled. One thing though, the same chick always answers the phone so if you ask about how hot the medium buffalo sause is, she will tell you it's really hot, but it's really not. Just sayin' read more

Guess our mistake was dining in the restaurant. The counter help left alot to be desired. She acted as if we were distrubing her. My companion ordered what should have been one of their $5 lunch specials (you will find them on a board on the opposite wall, away from the counter, not directly visible at first glance), but the cashier rang it up seperately, adding a few dollars to the order. We ordered Moz Sticks and I had the Chicken Parm dinner. Must say thumbs up on the Chicken Parm-excellent. The pizza was absolutely fantastic and I would definitely order it for DELIVERY ONLY! I would've given it 4 starts but the service was horrible! The front desk lady is poison for the business. First off we waited in line for about 10 mins while she was on the phone then towards the end it rings and she places someone on hold. About 2 minutes later she hung up and has the nerve to tell us that they've been waiting on hold for a long time! Really I was standing there, I heard it ring and I have common sense. Either way they hung up in her! I would've to, she's so rude on the phone! She curses like a sailor and makes fun of the Guest's to where I could hear her (she was loud) she got sexual with someone on the phone and then stated that she has to be careful cause her BF called the police on her. I would definitely not bring my family here. Then she just goes on and on, complaining about guests saying O she was such a B****, she got her order wrong; not me (she was 100% at fault) either way I did not feel welcome and I wouldn't recommend this place for children but the pizza was fantastic! I would have left a tip if it went to the cook, he was friendly and looked me in the eye and told me to have a great night. I will not return if she is there. But I might order delivery if they had an online way to where I wouldn't have to deal with her. I have ordered from pizza joint about 100 times to home and office and it has always been the best pizza I ever had.. They use fresh grande cheese and fresh sauce..They always make sure you have enough sauce and cheese on the pizza so it is far from dry..However, the crust is still thin and firm which is hard to do down south with the humidity...This pizza tastes like the kind I used to get on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ...The owners I believe used to work at Westshore pizza but they do it right..Westshore was always pre made on racks and than warmed up as you order...yuck...This place makes it fresh from scratch and it blows Westshore away..They also use a special spice in the sauce which is awesome..I am usually not one to write a review but I am just stoked how consistent which is hard to find in a mom and pop pizza shop....You should try this place once and if you are from New York or up north I promise you that you will not eat pizza no where else again...I am surprised that delivery is so fast as I would think this place would SELL 500 pies a nite the way they do it...They seem so humble about it but they really have the best in Tampa Bay...I used to work in pizza shops in New Jersey so I am very particular..The best kept secret and best of the bay for pizza..
