Wow, what a refreshing experience! Thank you Cassidy & Joseph for being so informative during our visit. My husband and I both have green thumbs and have been slowly growing our plant collection. The Plant Mill has a beautiful selection of plants. From snake plants, pothos, African violets, to ZZ plants - They have them all! We purchased a little baby monsterra. Cassidy repotted our plant into a pot that we brought to the store. The Plant Mill has a rewards program, where you receive $10 off after 10 purchases. They also have other fun items in the store to purchase. I also learned that they offer unique classes to book and the calendar is on their website. This is such a cool store on Mill, check them out!

A cute store selling an assortment of plants and cacti. There were also plant related gifts such as jewelry, soaps and candles. The shop keeper never looked up from her phone. Hmm, hard to interact with the customer that way. Free street parking.

A closed store during business hours.

This is an amazingly shop. The atmosphere and selection make you want to just hang out listening to the music and enjoy looking at the beautiful plants. The shop owner is also very nice and extremely knowledgeable about different ways to care for your plants.

It is hard to support a local business when they don't stay open for their posted hours. This is the second time I've come by and they were closed early. Sign in front of the door, door closed, with the employees cleaning up (and actually making out) in the back. I want to support a local plant shop but the inconsistency makes it hard.

We have been going to Whitfill for over 20 years now! What started out as Christmas tree shopping…read morewhen our boys were little has now turned into a yearly tradition that we hope one day they will continue with their own families. Not only do we go to them during the holidays but rely on them throughout the year when we need additional plants and trees for our backyard. We first started using Whitfill back in the early 2000's when they were on 40th street south of Roeser. We literally lived across the street from their nursery and when they moved to their current spot on Southern we followed! We have decades of photos with our boys standing next to the tree they choose for Christmas and the tradition continues now with our Sphynx cats! They used to have a peacock walking around but unfortunately he is no longer there. They are pet friendly and we are comfortable taking our cats there in the stroller. Not only are their prices and tree selections the best in town but their customer service and knowledge of anything tree related is vast! They know what they are doing and don't try to upsell or get you to buy unnecessary items. They are the real deal!

I'm often driving by and love…read moreto stop for plants, but its frustrating to wander and find plants you can't figure out what it is or what it costs. I shouldn't need to walk all the way back up front to ask -- and I've been giving the wrong information before anyhow. Its important to know what kind of plant you're buying for multiple reasons. The other Whitfill location (off Guadalupe and Cooper) doesn't have this issue. Overall I think the plants are pretty healthy but after having an issue with lack of labeling (on both the kind of plant and pricing), having been given the wrong plant info on a plant, and after having asked if they had Pink Fairy Duster and being sent off in a direction to wander and never find it on my own, I'm really over this location.
