Not a welcoming or even remotely friendly space. It was actually physically dirty, with an old cigarette butt on the floor by the door. There were no testers for lube, no sample/testers for toys. The two male clerks showed little to no interest in helping us, much less in making us feel comfortable about being in a sex shop. They clearly couldn't have cared less about us or even about making a sale. There was no way I was going to ask them questions about which products might suit my own particular needs, since that would have been way too vulnerable with gruff uncaring salespeople. I walked in to check out the binders that they had. the first interaction I had with the staff was phenomenal! A guy with blue hair greeted me and if I needed help. This is a really special place. I was a big fan of the West Village Pleasure Chest for years. The staff *really* knows their stuff, they are friendly and full of useful information.
