Nicely tucked away just off the noise and bustle of Flatiron. I felt calm the moment I walked in. Taste-wise, I liked how doughy the donuts were without being overly sweet or overpowering. Each one is large enough to share. Plenty of flavors to choose from.
WOW!! We are donut connoisseurs and coming from Chicago where we have some INCREDIBLE donut shops! This is one of the BEST donuts you'll ever have!! We tried 3 flavors, all of which were amazing! While I read some people don't find the donuts sweet enough, I found them to be very sweet! These doughnuts are sooo FLUFFY and soft and veryyyy doughy in the middle! UGH LOVEEE that!!! If you are a carb lover, you will LOVE these!! The location was easy to find, very clean shop and the employee was super friendly ! 10/10! Please open a location in Chicago!!
Walking around peeped inside seen these big fluffy doughnuts I had to have one. So I got the glaze donut just to try it before I try other flavors. The donut is huge as you can see from my photos and videos. Great service very helpful the donut was fluffy and tasty. First thought I was thinking maybe it was going to be dry but I was wrong this donut was delicious try out the glaze to be safe then explore the other flavors
Came here because we were craving donuts, and these were HUGE. I really liked the flavor of the passionfruit, but the flavor in the hibiscus didn't really pull through. They're really thick, but have a good texture. I had my second one the next day and it got kind of stale, so would recommend eating them asap! It's a pretty decently sized spot to also grab a donut & coffee and just chill as there are tables inside. Staff was friendly and knowledgable.

Came back a year (or two?) later and tried the glazed again just to give it a go. Madness is defined by doing the same thing and expecting different results so I guess that's what it makes me. This time the donut was fresher but now instead of bready and dry it was bready and doughy to the point of feeling undercooked... think a soft slightly sweet undercooked bagel with a frosted top. Yeah it's not good. B got a Boston Cream which was better. But if you don't have your basic glazed down you don't got it. A lot of better options out there even nearby
My man was working nearby so we decided to get half a dozen donuts to sample some of their much hyped flavors: Hibiscus, Nutella, Chocolate with nibs, Glazed, Blueberry Lemon, and Café au Lait. Visually, these donuts are stunning; each one looks like it was made to be photographed. They're also huge, much larger than your standard donut, which makes them feel like a real indulgence. Flavor wise, I appreciated the creativity. The Blueberry Lemon was my favorite; it struck a great balance between sweet and tart, and the oat crumble on top added a really nice crunch. The Hibiscus had a bold floral glaze and candied petals, which felt creative. The Chocolate with nibs had a rich, deep flavor and a nice bitter contrast from the nibs. Even the classic Glazed felt elevated with its glossy finish and subtle vanilla notes. That said, while they're marketed as airy yeast donuts, I found them to be a lot denser than expected, almost play-dough like in texture. Instead of that light, fluffy bite I was hoping for, they were more doughy. They're certainly enjoyable, but I wouldn't say they were spectacular. For me, they leaned more toward novelty than something I'd crave regularly. Overall, Dough is worth visiting for the visual appeal and the unique flavors. It's a fun spot if you're curious about trying something different or want an impressive treat to share, but texture wise, they didn't quite live up to the hype for me.
Due to a spectacular error in judgement, we wound up in lower Manhattan, far from our destination. But we were lucky to find Dough so that we could step in from the heat and humidity and recalibrate our day. They had just opened, so the donuts and coffee were fresh, and the folks in the back were having a great time, singing together while they made the next batch of donuts. I got the raspberry-filled doughnut with a large black drip, and it was perfect - soft, doughy doughnut sprinked with granulated sugar with a large globe of warm, sweet, gooey raspberry filling. Bright and tangy, a perfect counter to the dark, bitter coffee. Soon we were all feeling better and ready to head out with a new itinerary. Thank you Dough for a great snack to get us all realigned and set for the day!
I haven't been here in a long time. I finally came since it was right downstairs from where I'm currently working. It's a small and cozy shop. I got a 6 pack of doughnuts. A hibiscus, Cafe au lait, blueberry lemon, glazed, Nutella, and a chocolate with chocolate nibs. I got to try most except for the Nutella one. I was way to full to take another bite. But the doughnuts are tasty. They call them dough for a reason. They're thick but soft. I went back a day later and got a sugar blueberry filled doughnut. Probably my favorite so far. They have some good cold brew too! I enjoyed my stop here. And recommend it.
Dough is a must try if you are visiting and if you are craving a yummy and unique donut. These are huge and always so flavorful! You would think these would be dry and bland for how big it is. But it's actually perfect so moist and layered flavors with a perfect toppings. Service is nice and ambiance is a nice donut shop!

Dough has doughnuts of course, along with coffee and a few other items. Prices are okay for the flavor and quality. These are made very fresh so they haven't been sitting out for a long time. A lot of doughnuts to choose from. It's also a place that's all kosher. The doughnuts are made fresh and there's tons of flavors including a few that are seasonal. Certainly one also needs something to drink. It's about $4.50 for a latte. Has some non dairy milk choices. It's about $5 for a doughnut. That's kind of a lot but these are big though. Even has a few vegan flavors. The last time they had Vegan Hibiscus. Came with a dried flower. This had a pretty fluffy sweetness. Good place to go at breakfast. It's actually good at any time. There's a ton of flavors including some that are okay for vegans.
I went to Dough for a snack and my experience was excellent! The Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut was big, fluffy and sweet; it matched perfectly with the Chai Tea Latte. The service was jovial, they can lighten your day! Overall, a cozy little cafe to relax in and grab a treat to enjoy your day.

Most amazing donut I've ever had! I am not a dessert person and neither do I indulge in unhealthy eating very often. But I had a craving one morning for some sugar and 'Dough' was on my way. I walked in and realized one of their donuts was going to at least spread out for over 2 days for me. The flavors looked so delicious. I decided to go for 'Toasted Coconut'. Amazing nutmeg-y finish and I have to say I love the yeastiness of the donut - did not feel like straight up sugar, but felt like a complex cake/bread - the sourness did come through. The donut has body and texture. My donut world has changed from now on. If I encounter donut people, I will definitely recommend this place. And maybe next year try one of their other amazing flavors. It did cost me $6.80 but I'm telling you these are gigantic - one for 2 people I'd say. The place is simple, cute and clean - standard NYC modern shop. So not much to report here. read more

I had a taste for some sweets while I was in the city enjoying all of the sportsmanship and energy that FIFA World Cup was bringing, so I stopped by DOUGH at Rockefeller Center. It's a small shop, but it wasn't crowded, so I was able to see all of the flavors they had. The Hibiscus is what put them on the map, so I had to try that. Just so you know, I don't have any pictures of it because I ate it immediately! Don't judge me. 5/5 I also had the strawberry shortcake. Very fresh, nice texture, soft throughout. I reminded me of a strawberry crunch cake without the cake taste. I like donuts to taste like donuts despite the name and flavors. 5/5 I swear y'all I wanted the blueberry lemon with the oat crumble, but I had to get outta there before I ate another thing. I promised myself I would get it when I came back! Dough has delicious donuts that are thoughtfully crafted. Check them out. They have SIX locations throughout New York. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the cost. I got the plain glaze and it was factually a very good doughnut since it was moist and well flavored, but it was like $6 which I think is kinda a lot for a basic doughnut. They don't even have the prices of the doughnuts listed anywhere which feels a little deceptive. At the very least it is large. So if you're having a craving, you should go for it, but otherwise maybe go somewhere cheaper. The staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean with ample seating. read more

These doughnuts were out of the world! I'm not exaggerating when I tell you these are the best donuts I've ever had! Absolutely 10/10, the texture, flavor, sweetness.... just wow! I ordered the passionfruit doughnut and it was just the perfect amount of sweetness not too overpowering of passionfruit flavor! I took a picture of the inside, very fluffy, dense, and amazing soft texture. It was more thicker then airy which I enjoyed a lot. My friends and I shared our doughnuts and they were all so good, even the plain glazed! It completely blows my mind how they can make a donut this good. We also got ice latte's, my friends got the vanilla flavor and my other friend got hazelnut, all tasted delicious especially paired with the doughnut. Service was great too, we got ice water when we asked multiple times (nyc weather, you know how hot it gets) but we really appreciate the service. It was also nice and cool inside especially after being out in the hot sun. read more

The doughnuts here always taste fresh and flavorful. I always make a point to stop by here when i am in the area. I always have to get any coconut doughnut they have. I tried the passion fruit one for the first time and it was so good. Also great coffee. I like that there is seating even though it is small as well. Highly recommend. read more
Vegan doughnuts. In Manhattan. Yes. When the review could stop there, why keep going? Just to say tasty, tasty, tasty. I did my homework to find vegan doughnuts in the area and there aren't that many spots, surprisingly enough. But here at Dough, with three vegan options to choose from, and a kind staff member to recommend the apple honey almond one, I was not let down. It was huge enough to satisfy me with just half and I gladly had a friend to share with. My amiga had a pumpkin spice (not vegan) latte and enjoyed it too. You can't go wrong with Dough. I usually get the chocolate with cacao nibs on top. Scrumptious and can be messy. This location the staff is friendly and they have some table and chairs to eat. They have a communal table as well. Highly recommend these mouthwatering Doughnuts! read more
My husband surprised us on Valentine's Day with half a dozen of their heart-shaped donuts. If you've never had a Dough donut, you're missing out. 1 donut is the size of 3-4 regular-sized donuts. Their dough is light, not dense, has a lovely vanilla aroma and more like cake than anything else. Their beautiful concoctions ranging from hibiscus, to peanut butter and boston cream in dark chocolate galore is a stroke of genius. I loved eating these post-partum after giving birth to my children and still love them time to time. Because of their reputation, you can expect to wait up to an hour so, stock up when you finally get to the counter! They run about $5.00 per donuts but again, you're really getting 3-4 donuts. read more
Popped into this shop with two other friends after grabbing lunch elsewhere. This has been on my bookmarks list and it was about time to find out why it has been on my list for quite some time. They make some bomb donuts with unique flavors. I got the Ube Cheesecake ($6), which I picked based on the reviews I saw. They also sold out and same back out with a fresh new batch, so I knew it had to be a bestseller. For sure amazing. One ordered the Strawberry Short-Cake ($6) and the other ordered Nutella ($6). They both really enjoyed their selections as well. Would come back to try their other flavors. read more
Donut time! Stopped in before a soulcycle class (they cancel each other out- okay) and asked the lady at the front which donuts we're filled- ube cheesecake and Nutella that day. So I chose the ube cheesecake because the lady said it was the most popular filled donut. It was delicious! Good portion size, their could be a bit more filling but it was really good. They had a great selection at about 4-5pm on a weekday too. Lots of seating inside. They had a nice selection of drinks and even energy drinks in the cooler inside- I snagged one for my soulcycle class. Definitely recommend. I will be back! read more

I'm a bit of a donut fanatic so I had to check out Dough in Flatiron. I was a bit disappointed by the donuts to be donuts. The donuts are HUGE which was exciting but the texture just felt like thick bread. The flavor of the bread was also bland and not super exciting. Most of the flavor seemed to come from the toppings and glaze rather than the donut base. read more

I always walk past this place and I always smell the fragrance of doughnuts as I pass, so I finally stopped in to try one. Now it's not like the doughnut tastes bad cause it didn't it was quite good, i tried the cheesecake one, but it just didn't taste like a doughnut ! I was very confused when I took a bite. The texture, taste and denseness of it was almost bagel like or a sweet bread. It did not taste like a doughnut at all. Maybe if you drink coffee it would be good to dunk in to make it softer to eat but flavor wise it was good nothing phenomenal. If you're looking for a traditional doughnut this isn't the spot but if you want to try something new then I would check it out . They have many interesting flavors that I have never heard of before! I've had Dough on my list of paces to visit in nyc and finally made it! There are probably about 12-15 flavors to choose from (including rotating seasonal flavors) at any time and I LOVED the Boston Crème! A great spot to meet friends since they have a long table available for seating. They also serve many hot drinks. read more
I'm normally a cake donut lover but these were absolutely delicious! I bit pricey for a donut but well worth it. We got the Dulce de leche with almonds and the Nutella filled. Both were yummy. The ring doughnut had so many flakey layers. I've never had anything like to. A highlight of our trip to NYC! read more

Dough has a special place in my heart. I was 22 and working at Union Square and often went to their 19th street location for a treat. My favorite was always their seasonal cheesecake donut and would order 8-12 at a time for family and friends. Seeing them at Smorgasbord is like seeing an old friend and I have to stop by. I recently got the lemon blueberry and it was fantastic. The donut itself had a sharp lemon flavor and the blueberry icing compliments it perfectly. I hope to try their new flavors soon. read more
Definitely the place to go for delicious and large donuts in NYC! They have a few locations, but this location was convenient to walk to if you're in the Flat Iron area. They have about 7-8 different flavor options to choose from, all unique from typical donut shops. I ordered the Nutella Crunch and Apple Strudel. They were both very very good with plenty of flavor and ingredients stuffed in as filling. The dough was light and fluffy too, so a good contrast to the heavier filling. Apple Strudel had fresh apple slices inside, seasoned with cinnamon and a cream cheese/caramel filling. Nutella Crunch was a bit more simple with the hazelnut pieces on top and Nutella cream in the center. I enjoyed both a lot and was certainly full after eating them! Prices are quite high in comparison to other donut shops, but the quality is worth it to treat yourself. read more
I'm still going back and forth between NYC and Philly. However, when I'm back, I almost always make a point to stop at Dough. I stopped there last month and had the opportunity to meet the co-owner, Steve Klein. He was very friendly and explained the story of Dough's origin and growth. The recipe is unique because it incorporates yeast with brioche, to create a doughnut that ranks as one of the city's best. My favorite is the Chocolate-Cocoa nib, however, this time I also got the classic plain glazed and the widely heralded Hibiscus. They were as amazing as always! read more
