First off - love to see business thriving at the golf club and in GB. Manager is the pits!! Long story- but stopped supporting place after bad experience with him. Not customer friendly and cannot handle stress. Place struggling with help. Waits can be long for food. Front and back of house needs more coordination- but I place that blame on manager. In the beginning we were coming once a week. Staffing is huge issue everywhere after Covid pandemic. But it's part of normal life now. We were always patient as most staff work hard. Having food runners was helpful and they are all friendly. Bartenders great ( minus when tall manger tending). They remember you and are quick and organized and smart. Kitchen ( back of house) on "pointe". Lol. Excellent tasty food. Expensive but that is also the new normal Weekly Specials and trivia night( shout out to Garrett - my fave) make coming here so much fun. Saige was our bartender this time and all drinks are good. When we arrived there we learned we were to seat ourselves. So we sat outside and waited for quite awhile before I said I was ready to leave. But my husband found a waitress and learned there wasn't enough staffing for outside. So he wanted to stay, so we did. The food was really good, as we're the drinks. There were kids running around. Sat at bar on a Thursday night in October '22 to get some food and a drink. Heard the kitchen had improved with fresher ingredients. OK service from Saige, who was tending to her brother (?) more than us, but I guess that's to be expected. Yes, the ingredients were good. We both had shrimp salad. Price was a little steep for the salads ($19) and the wine ($10) for the portions, but I know they need to stay in business with limited clients. Stopped in to meet people after a round of golf. We sat at the bar for finger food and drinks. Their dinning area looked very nice as well and in the warm weather they had a beautiful patio and sitting area. The Bloody Mary was good and so were their vodka sodas. For food, we got an order of the original wings. They were some of the best wings I have ever had. Crispy, yet still had a lot of meat of them. They do a plain fry and you can pick dipping sauces on the side. We got the Buffalo and the BBQ both were incredible. Overall friendly staff, brand new updates and good vibes. Very clean restaurants and bathroom. There were 3 of us for lunch. Order the shrimp tacos and you will love them. The mahi tacos were very good also. Finally. The kind of restaurant that everyone has been asking for in gulf breeze is here. What they've done to the old Tiger Point club house is pretty incredible. Turned it from dark woods and old carpets to light bright and airy. It feels like a whole new building. They seem to have 3 different seating areas inside (it was raining so no outside dining for us) each with their own bars. Area 1: a casual dining area that connects the other 2 areas Area 2: a true sports bar with at least 15 tv's wrapping around the room with a rectangular bar in the middle. Area 3: a more traditional sit down area with views over the old west golf course The food: - A cup of shrimp and Corn Chowder $7. Excellent and exactly what I wanted for lunch - A single Patti wagyu cheeseburger $13. This was just for the burger, no sides. Small and expensive, but good. They could easily forgo the wagyu and still use great meat w/ a side for the same price. This is my only complaint. -Side of sweet potato waffle fries $5. Great fries and portions that were shareable. Overall Impressions: - great first visit. They have the atmosphere and style of food that we've wanted here in GB for years. What a pleasant experience preparing for our Lady's Tuesday Golf League luncheon at The Pointe Restaurant. This was the first time I had met with Brittany, the coordinator for functions. I found that she was pleasant , knowledgeable and from the start to finish she was spot on. Very impressive that the morning of our party not only her crew setting up, but she was also there making sure everything was perfect. She was a joy to work with. Alex our bartender and waiter is the best! Personable, fun, accommodating and so pleased that he was a part of our luncheon. I went with a group of 15. They added a supposedly 22% tip which was actually 25% plus a fee for using my credit card. The food was not worth $35 nor was the service. Slow - has to ask to order and to get our tabs. Too much sauce on the shrimp. The beef stew was all shredded beef - no veggies; not what you would expect for a stew. This is the center of perfection for dining, happy hour and watching sporting events! Everything is well though out and taking care of their guests Is the utmost priority. My favorite appetizers are the grouper fingers and the tiger shrimp. Taco Tuesday and spaghetti night are my favorite days to go! Amazing view of the golf course and great place to socialize.
