Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille was one of the highlights of our trip to Pensacola. The waterfront setting overlooking the marina is beautiful, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so you can enjoy the view no matter the weather. We started with the crab cakes, which were excellent, and I had the fresh blackened grouper lunch special that was cooked perfectly. The berry mojito was another standout--refreshing and loaded with fresh fruit. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy lunch while watching the boats in the harbor. Came in Saturday evening for an early dinner. This place has really nice views if you sit outside. They fill up fast so do plan for a little wait time. Once we were seated, our server came and took our drink order and greeted us. She then told us about the specials they have and gave us some good recommendations. We started off with Jaco's guac and salsa. We were expecting them to be separate but it was really good being together. The homemade chips made it even more delicious. I wish there was more guac since was the star of the show! We then ordered the Blackened Mahi Reuben and Jaco's Blackened Fish Tacos. The Reuben was the best one I've ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection and the dressing on the sandwich was definitely homemade. The bread choice was on point because the sandwich never crumbled. The tacos were very flavorful and the pineapple sales a great compliment to the tacos. Both dishes were amazing and well portioned. We didn't have dessert because nothing on the dessert menu was to our liking but we will be back soon!!! Stop here for a relaxing experience in the area. read more

I've been to Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grill several times over the the years. They definitely are a top spot for enjoying a waterfront dining experience. The service here is really on top of things and takes great care of you. The menu seems to be very sandwich focused during lunch and I wish they had more stand alone seafood options where I could get an actual fish entree instead of a fish sandwich. They have an impressive cocktail program here which I'm usually just sticking to beer but I enjoy a good mint julep or mojito occasionally. This is certainly a nice spot to pass a good time and enjoy a beautiful waterfront view! read more

We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server was Larry (A+), and he recommended the scallop risotto. It was filling and perfectly balanced. I enjoyed the berry mojito. This is such a great restaurant. Awesome location, awesome views, awesome service, awesome staff, and most importantly - awesome food. The pomme frites app with the three sauces will disappear within minutes after being served to table. Cuban is awesome, flatbreads are awesome, they put pesto pearls on their burrata. We ordered the salmon sandwich. It came on a brioche bun with tomato, lettuce, pickle, and onion. This came with shoestring fries. The sandwich was good and my husband likes these fries. Service was fast. Downside : no military discount and up charge for using a card vs cash. Usually, this type of ignoring our military means that, even though the food was good, we don't return. Our family was passing through Pensacola, looking for a good place to grab a bite "with a view" near downtown. We found Jaco's and it didn't disappoint. We started with the fried green tomatoes. Amazing. We've been on a .mission to find the best Fried Green Tomatoes and these might just be the tops in the south! They came out piping hot, crispy (not soggy) on the outside, firm green tomatoes on the inside. The microgreens, balsamic drizzle with dollop of goat cheese elevated this dish even further. The blackened Mahi fish tacos were so incredibly flavorful and fresh. I loved that everything is fresh and made in-house. The shells, the mango salsa, the chipotle sauce and the blackened Mahi were all so fresh and worked so well together. My family got the margarita flatbread pizza and caprese salad. The flatbread pizza was crispy, light and fresh. The caprese came with a wonderful pesto that accompanied the garden ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and balsamic. The service was a little swamped (stressed) as they were super busy during a weekday lunch. However, they were hustling and working hard to serve us... so can't really complain. Really can't say enough about this place. Great views from the pier, incredibly fresh food with a crew striving to take care of its patrons. One of the best places we've eaten at in the area. We sat close to the bar and loved the atmosphere. My colleague had the Palafox and the kitchen staff was gracious enough to switch fish for chicken on my flatbread with mango and jalapeño. Checked out reviews for Jaco's the night prior and my wife decided to meet here after I was done working with my kids! We sat outside and had a great view of the bay. I ordered a BR- Pineapple and my wife got a glass of wine. Katy got a Caprese salad with Chicken, Karlea ordered a Margherita flatbread, Krissy got a Buffalo chicken flatbread and I ate a Mahi Mahi Rueben with roasted potatoes. We missed the sunset specials by 20 minutes (ughh!) prices were reasonable considering the location and view. Enjoyed every bite of my Rueben, but I will say the roasted potatoes were not fresh and several were undercooked. Overall the meal was tasty and of adequate portion size. What a gem! From the green tomatoes to the crab cake...the appetizers were delicious. I ordered the fresh fish for the day which was grouper. It was good, but I still regret not ordering the Salmon burger. I eat salmon almost everyday so I wanted to order something different. Well my both of my family members ordered the Salmon burger when they say "homemade" it was definitely homemade, fresh, and just plain good. I tasted my family members sandwich with no regrets. Thank you KJ for the good customer service and thank you to the other waiter(pregnant) who heard me say I needed some plastic ware as she walked by the table.
