Our family was passing through Pensacola, looking for a good place to grab a bite "with a view" near downtown. We found Jaco's and it didn't disappoint. We started with the fried green tomatoes. Amazing. We've been on a .mission to find the best Fried Green Tomatoes and these might just be the tops in the south! They came out piping hot, crispy (not soggy) on the outside, firm green tomatoes on the inside. The microgreens, balsamic drizzle with dollop of goat cheese elevated this dish even further. The blackened Mahi fish tacos were so incredibly flavorful and fresh. I loved that everything is fresh and made in-house. The shells, the mango salsa, the chipotle sauce and the blackened Mahi were all so fresh and worked so well together. My family got the margarita flatbread pizza and caprese salad. The flatbread pizza was crispy, light and fresh. The caprese came with a wonderful pesto that accompanied the garden ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and balsamic. The service was a little swamped (stressed) as they were super busy during a weekday lunch. However, they were hustling and working hard to serve us... so can't really complain. Really can't say enough about this place. Great views from the pier, incredibly fresh food with a crew striving to take care of its patrons. One of the best places we've eaten at in the area. Came in Saturday evening for an early dinner. This place has really nice views if you sit outside. They fill up fast so do plan for a little wait time. Once we were seated, our server came and took our drink order and greeted us. She then told us about the specials they have and gave us some good recommendations. We started off with Jaco's guac and salsa. We were expecting them to be separate but it was really good being together. The homemade chips made it even more delicious. I wish there was more guac since was the star of the show! We then ordered the Blackened Mahi Reuben and Jaco's Blackened Fish Tacos. The Reuben was the best one I've ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection and the dressing on the sandwich was definitely homemade. The bread choice was on point because the sandwich never crumbled. The tacos were very flavorful and the pineapple sales a great compliment to the tacos. Both dishes were amazing and well portioned. We didn't have dessert because nothing on the dessert menu was to our liking but we will be back soon!!! Stop here for a relaxing experience in the area. read more

My crab cake salad was delicious. The waitress suggested the grouper sandwich as the special of the day...so my husband ordered it, expecting it to be comparable pricing to their other sandwich and fries combo... NOPE!! It was $28.00 for a very average fish sandwich and fries. His fault for not asking the price in advance, but totally unexpected when the other sandwiches were under $20.00. read more

This was our second visit and we were so impressed! Between the service and the food it is outstanding! The view is phenomenal and the seating allows for everyone to enjoy. We sat close to the bar and loved the atmosphere. We opted for the Mahi Reuben with delish crispy fries, crab cakes (full of crab) and the Bella stack with a delicious Mediterranean feel to the sauce. Wine selection is terrific! Ordered shrimp lettuce wraps, pineapple salsa was not fresh, grilled shrimp was cold, sauce did not go well, and left tails on the shrimp making it an extremely messy and sticky dish. Mom ordered Mahi Reuben sand which and was really bad she had to spit it out and is hoping she doesn't get sick. Bruschetta was deconstructed and had no elements of a classic bruschetta and no description on menu. The sodas had no syrup in them and tasted extremely watered down. The only good thing was the caprese salad. Not worth the time or money. Nice view though. read more

Red wine to wash things down, Pinot noir. Fried Oreos are so good! Pregamed with Gin n tonic, was a strong pour and very tasty. Waitress was busy but good. Made rounds and kept me covered. Checked out reviews for Jaco's the night prior and my wife decided to meet here after I was done working with my kids! We sat outside and had a great view of the bay. I ordered a BR- Pineapple and my wife got a glass of wine. Katy got a Caprese salad with Chicken, Karlea ordered a Margherita flatbread, Krissy got a Buffalo chicken flatbread and I ate a Mahi Mahi Rueben with roasted potatoes. We missed the sunset specials by 20 minutes (ughh!) prices were reasonable considering the location and view. Enjoyed every bite of my Rueben, but I will say the roasted potatoes were not fresh and several were undercooked. Overall the meal was tasty and of adequate portion size. We've been wanting to try this for quite a while. We decided on the salmon burger and a flatbread pizza. We were seated outside and it didn't appear they were too busy (arrived at 1:00 on a Wednesday). Our waiter was pretty attentive and kept apologizing for the wait etc to get drinks.. our food comes and I was quite surprised that the frites were hard and barely warm, the salmon burger was falling apart (too dry of a mix). Husband said his flatbread was pretty good. We don't have time to send anything back as we had a busy day ahead of us. Would not recommend the salmon burger!
