Walking into Poke Bros in Coral Springs feels a little like accidentally stepping into a final exam…read moreyou did not study for. Let me start with the positives, because there are plenty. The salmon is fresh, tuna and crab also fresh, like legitimately fresh. The sushi rice is prepared well and served with what can only be described as a generous hand. The ingredient displays are spotless, almost surgically clean, which is reassuring when raw fish is involved. The food itself? Pretty good. The sauces are where things wobble a bit. The one I chose leaned watery instead of bold, but it didn't ruin the bowl. Everything tasted clean, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Now... the experience. Poke Bros is a build your own poke bowl spot, which is great in theory. In practice, it assumes you have been doing this weekly since 2004. The staff stands there, calm, efficient, and emotionally distant, waiting for you to confidently bark out a sequence of bases, proteins, toppings, and sauces like you're ordering off a secret menu. I am not that guy. If you don't do build your own poke bowls on a regular basis, ordering here can feel weirdly intimidating. There's an unspoken expectation that you know exactly what you want, in exactly the right order, with zero hesitation. A little guidance, a simple "Most people like this" or "Want a recommendation?" would have gone a long way and probably bumped this review up a full star. Instead, you're left standing there, scanning the menu like you're decoding ancient scrolls while a perfectly sterile operation unfolds around you. So overall, Poke Bros lands at three stars. The fish is fresh, the rice is solid, and the portions are generous. But if you're new to poke or just not mentally prepared to assemble a bowl under mild social pressure, the experience can feel more off-putting than welcoming. Good food. Clean space. Slightly intimidating vibes. Come hungry, come decisive, or at least come ready to improvise.

I'm not sure if there's new ownership or management, but while the flavors were still there, the overall presentation felt off. The portions also seemed a bit skimpy compared to before. One detail that really stood out was when I asked for Nutella and was given a small packet instead of it being drizzled over the dish. It may sound minor, but those finishing touches really make a difference, and the portion provided just didn't enhance the dish at all. That said, the space itself remains clean and welcoming, and the location is excellent. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because this spot has a lot of potential to get back to what made it special.

I haven't eaten in there but, when you see how clean while picking up your food, you realize that they take a lot of pride in their appearance and quality of food. The service is great too, very nice people. I have used their take-out online ordering 4 or 5 times now and was blown away with the perfection of their meals. Do not miss trying this spot, You'll be glad that you did.

The ingredients are always kept closed in a fridge unless they are building a bowl. Keeps it all fresh! My #1 poke place.
