Woah. Long Island bagel cafe was a pleasant surprise that we didn't know existed. We got sailor wrap on spinach wrap with egg onion bagel toasted with cream cheese for togo. I also asked my fiancee to buy me chocolate fudge protein snack. The sailor wrap was so much better than what we expected. It tasted perfectly seasoned not too heavy on the sauce and all the ingredients on the inside went well together. The bagel gets 3/5 stars but that might be because we drove 40 minutes home and asked everything for togo. Next time we get to try it again, we will try it while we are there and let you guys know with an update. They had ran out of several bagel flavors when we were there, so this place must be a pretty popular stop for bagels for the locals who live there. The chocolate snack that was loaded with 10g of protein had a nice taste and texture. I will for sure get it again next time. We had an excellent lunch experience here. They have a full deli, salad stuff, and all sorts of fillings for sandwiches, wraps, and paninis. We decided to go with their "specialty" -- bagels. They have a dozen and half types of bagels and 20+ types of cream cheese and spreads from which to choose. I got a whole wheat bagel, toasted, with lox cream cheese spread and tomato slices on the side. Just half a bagel was more than enough -- overstuffed with the cream cheese. My husband an everything bagel toasted with sun-dried tomato jalapeño cream cheese spread. He too only ate half of his bagel along with some coffee. We shared a piece of crumb cake for dessert. The cake was so moist and the crumb topping a perfect mix of cinnamon and sugar etc. We were able to find a table inside. There's a small area with tables where you will enjoy chatting with your neighbors about what they got (the tuna was highly recommended by one lady) as tables are close together. There's a larger area on an outside patio but it was too hot today for us to be there. Service was very friendly and accommodating by everyone. They are getting popular, so plan on a short wait. You stand in line to order and then pay the same person who took your order and then prepared your food. We got some extra bagels to go. I know we will be back. read more

Today my choice was an Everything Bagel with Sundried tomato and jalapeño cream cheese, 1/4 lb of their Macaroni salad and an iced coffee. We decided to eat in and I found a table inside. My Bagel was absolutely wonderful. The Macaroni salad was great too! The iced and hot coffees are top notch! Yes, it's amazing! I've been looking for a New York quality bagel joint here in Boca and this is honestly the first one that has even come close to meeting my expectations. The bagels are absolutely fantastic, they were actually still warm when I stopped by to get them. I also have to mention the amazing salads they're selling here. My personal favorites are the jalapeno tuna and the egg salad with onions and mushrooms. There are a lot of other good ones, but those two are my favorites. They're always fresh and delicious. The prices, especially for the salads, is a little bit on the steep side. But the quality is there so I don't mind splurging. Bagels are pretty good but their toaster stinks, it only toasts one side so if you're into one sided toasted, soft on the outside, chewy bagels with an absurd amount of cream cheese @ $4.25 ... then this is your place! The long line to order, which moved swiftly, was a good sign. This place is popular even at 10:45 am, which means it must be pretty good! Multiple people were taking orders, so although there were 10 people ahead of me, the wait to order was only about 5-7 minutes. I got the Leo with a plain, toasted bagel. The bagel was so soft and delicious! My wife had the egg everything bagel sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. Both were outstanding! We will be back again soon! Indoor and outdoor seating were available, and it wasn't hard to get a table. The staff is efficient and wants you to enjoy your food. Had to check out this newcomer to Boca (they have places in NY). You can tell this is not their first rodeo. This is a real restaurant with deli men behind the appetizing. The outdoor tables looked like a nice place to eat, weather permitting. This place has it all, bagels (of course) and a whole array of salads, meats, appetizing, etc. Pricy... you always know you're in trouble when there are no prices on the items in the case. My mission was to try their bagels. Picked up some for home and toasted they are very good... not like great NY bagel though. So, I look at this place as a good spot to come for lunch, pick up their prepared food or sandwiches... not a bagel store. Will update if/when I try the chow. Seems like a place if you're local. We ordered from Uber Eats this morning and will not be doing so again. Despite being packed with spinach and feta, my omelette was bone dry and flavorless. Early Morning Bagel Stop Stopped by LI Bagel at 7 a.m. on a Saturday and had a great experience overall. I ordered a bagel and coffee--both were delicious. The bagel was fresh and perfectly made, and the coffee hit the spot. Only downside? The music inside was way too loud for that early in the morning. It felt more like a Saturday night than a Saturday morning. We ended up sitting outside and mentioned it to the owner, Adam. He was super understanding and turned it down right away. He explained that as the day gets busier, the volume makes more sense--but yeah, at 7 a.m., it was a bit much. Still, I'd definitely go back. Being an oceanside NY gal, my family and I had to check out the Long Island bagel Cafe to see if everything they had was as good as in NY. They pretty much duplicated everything from their quality of bagels, salads, cream cheeses, create your own salad area to bringing in Philly fluffy. It is an extremely popular store with long lines which went pretty fast. The staff was very nice and accommodating. There is also a nice outside patio area to sit in. Stopped In Monday just to try out a bagel with butter and test out the difference from a NY bagel. It's definitely not bad for Florida and probably the best I've had so far but it's still not a ny bagel. You can tell the difference just holding it and feeling the density. Stopped into grab a half dozen bagels and smear while in plaza with spouse for crafts at Michael's. Shop did have signage warning new and still getting things into place. The deli counter appeared cold with many salads and custom made smears. It was afternoon and many bagels remained. We grabbed a 1/2 dozen to go. They had two cool looking dark colored bagels and we asked, said to be double cinnamon. We grabbed them and left also. They wrapped these "specialty" bagels separately and seemed weird. They were priced 1.00 each more as again a speciality. Not shared in advance but no issue. When we got home we unwrapped the two bagels and horrified to see bottoms. These are not well cooked but burnt. Since employee wrapped them on back table, we cannot believe you would sell and at full cost also. Poor business decision. The shining star of the visit was one pastry bought , their version of a chocolate cigar. Sealed on both ends with hardened chocolate . It was like a melt away / bobka and cigar in one. After having Long Island Bagel Cafe several times since my last review I can say that my opinion has changed and perhaps I had the bagels delivered on bad days. My bagels have been crispy on the outside and slightly sweet and salty with a chewy consistency - just the way bagels should be prepared and taste. I do have to refrigerate the bagels for about an hour to eliminate or lessen any roll like texture. Another difference is my lox/nova sandwiches now have the smoked salmon separate from the bagels with the cream cheese on the side and because I get it delivered and the distance is far (I'm east and the shop is out west) the cream cheese which was spread on in amounts too copious would soften the bagel and who wants a soft bagel? Bagels from this shop have become a weekly ritual and are better than most bagels I've had in South Florida. read more
