When we need pizzas in bulk for a good party we recently started ordering from here. The pizza is so good. The spices are placed and selected very well. The rumor is that all of their ingredients are imported directly from Italy. I would not be surprised considering how well done it is, and the quality of the pizza. Really good specialty pizzas! The crust was great and the toppings were generous. We got the wrong toppings on one and didn't realize this until we got home, so you might want to double-check your pie before you leave, but other than that, it was great. Owners were very nice and had good personalities. We'll be back to try non-pizza offerings, which sound great and appear to all be home-made. Very nice experience here. I dropped in for their lunch special ($5 or $6 8" personal pizza with soft drink). The very kind lady at the front was very courteous and a pleasure to talk to. Often times in a relatively fast food environment the quality of service if bottom of the barrel. Not so at Pom - they did a great job and the two staff members I interacted with were top notch. The crust was nice and soft but still crispy around the edges and the ingredients were noticeably fresh. We also had the fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks which were some of the best I've had. A delightful little Italian place. You order at the counter but the owner himself brings it out to you. His friendly demeanor and the neat but casual layout makes you feel like you're back in the old neighborhood in the 1940s. Pomodoro provides a variety of classic dishes and plenty of pizza. This place is fantastic. Great pizza, dough is really different and great. Everything we have tried is freshly made and rice balls are unbelievably good. They even make homemade chips. The artisan pizza is actually as good or better than what I have had in Italy, and my family thinks the tiramisu was better than in Italy too! I hope everyone tries this place! read more

We have been here twice, the first time we stopped in ordered and waited for our food. We had an appetizer of fried mozzarella sticks which were simply awesome! Homemade cheese, perfectly battered and fried, super sauce too. Also order gnocchi, eggplant parm and fried calamari. Gnocchi was decent, eggplant was good, a little too breaded but still good, calamari was terrible and had way too fishy of a smell. Chewy and just not good The second time we ordered for delivery I was told about 45 minutes. 1.25 hours later, nothing, so I called and spoke to the female owner, our pizza and mozzarella sticks arrived about 15 minutes later. We ordered a cheese pizza, it was terrible. Honestly, we couldn't get through the crust, we were so bummed out. The pizza and sticks were pretty cold upon arrival so even the sticks were not very good this time around. Again, we were bummed! I have to recognize the female owner of this restaurant though, she is a gem. I enjoyed talking to her the first time we went while waiting for our food. She is a people person and loves her restaurant, it's nice to see that. We will try this place again, just maybe not delivery, or the pizza? read more

Okay, I'm sold. We recently moved to the area, and were on a quest for a new pizza place. We tried Pomodoro once based on reviews, and ended up ordering 3 more times! What sold me was the Fresca specialty pizza. The ingredients were plentiful and fresh. I've also tried the pan pizza which was good, but not a "must have" for me. I really got creative last night and had the Chicken Piccata. It's so hit or miss ordering something like that for delivery, but it was delicious. I had my leftovers tonight! I've also been impressed with the friendly order takers via phone, and delivery has been quick (mention you have a coupon for free delivery with a $20 order!). read more

We ordered 2 salads- super fresh and delicious. My daughter had the broccoli rabe and it was awesome- just as you would make at home with plenty of garlic and fresh lemon. The pizzas we ordered had fresh vegetables and the red sauce was great. The gnocchi was tasty with lots of good pesto. The bread was hot and crunchy- yummy! This is good for a quick bite at lunch but there are few tables and the sun can get uncomfortable. The storefront is in a nondescript strip mall, and super clean inside but not romantic or designed for leisurely dining. I recommend takeout and enjoying with a good bottle of wine at home. We visited Pomodoro E Mozzarella last weekend at the insistence of relatives, who also insisted we order the Bruschetta & Mozzarella appetizer. The place is very small in a strip center west of Downtown St. Charles. There are only a few tables inside and out. Inside was spotlessly clean and bright with muted grey tones. We first were served a basked of wonderful sliced bread and olive oil, the then came the appetizer. The vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned and the toasted bread was crunchy and chewy, just as it should be. We ordered a "straight-up" pepperoni and cheese pizza and a spinach and sausage pizza from the wood-fired oven. The crusts were slightly different, but both were perfectly cooked and the toppings were great. No wine or beer is available, but the cooler has Italian water, tea and soft drinks, for very reasonable prices. I wish that P E M were closer to our home; if it were, we would be devoted regular diners. read more

There's obviously a few East German judges out there because this place should be a solid five stars. The food is incredible and the service is even better. I brought my two young children in to dine in (very small - only four tables) and we were greeted with a huge smile by the owner. He asked my kids what they wanted to eat and made it for them even though it wasn't on the menu. The pizza we ordered was superb, and the fresh cut fries we ordered as a side are some of the best I've had. This is generally a takeout/delivery very spot and we'll be ordering from them again and again. I saw some pasta dishes go to another table and they looked SO delicious. I am 100% Sicilian and these guys are the real deal!!! Arancini just like my mother makes. The pizza was awesome, good crispy crust, fresh toppings. Try the Rigatoni Bosacaiola, rigatoni noodles with mushrooms, Italian sausage in a cream sauce. It is awesome!! Everything we tried tonight was spot on, not one misstep. Going to try the Artisan pizza next time. The owners are wonderful people, the wife greets everyone who comes in. There is a small counter inside where 4 people could sit and two square outdoor tables so its mostly a take home place. Would love to see them expand just a bit to include a few indoor tables. If we eat in, we are treated like we are family. The area isn't designed for too much dining in, but there is just enough room to sit and enjoy. The food is outstanding, with the homemade taste that my family enjoys.
