November 2025: I went to Mio Modo in St. Charles for my sister-in-law's birthday. I love the Francesca's chain, the food is always spot-on and the decor is always lovely and eye-catching. The bar at this location was stunning! Very beautiful and I loved the plant decor. Our waiter, James, was very friendly and provided great service. He also brought us each Limoncello shots to try at the end of our meal, which we enjoyed. We all loved our food! For appetizers, we shared the calamari and roasted beets. For our entrees we had the lamb shank, ravioli, shrimp pasta, and Francesca's salad with chicken. Every dish was amazing, filling, and the flavors were outstanding! For dessert, we ordered tiramisu, chocolate cake, and the sloppy sundae. I can't say enough good things about Francesca's and I always look forward to dining there!

Had my daughter's baby shower here and can not express how wonderful the excellent food and service we were afforded. It was really awesome. My thanks to Mio Modo. We'll be back soon. Lewis & Sandy Klinn

Came during lunch time at noon. We made reservations, but it wasn't packed. There is complimentary bread with olive oil and cheese. I had the Paloma drink which was really good and refreshing. Appetizer we had the Focaccia di Recco, which was really good. The light cheese was baked inside and the bread was light airy and crispy. The honey was lightly drizzled with 2 dollops of honey comb that you can spread more on your piece. It took a while to come out, which we didn't notice since we were chatting away. But so worth the wait. My main I had the Linguine Arrabbiata. Wasn't too spicy and noodles were cooked perfectly. It was pretty large and I had about half of it to take home as leftovers. We finished with Lemon Olive Oil cake. Very soft and moist. Fresh strawberry slices and blueberry on top with whipped cream. Very delicious. Plenty of parking to be find next to the building on both sides. The entrance is by the road facing the West side off of Geneva Rd/ 2nd Street.

    Rigatoni alla Melanzane
    Robert V.

Great Italian spot in St Charles with a trendy interior! Came with a big group and got lucky that it was a Tuesday, 50% off bottles of wine. Our server, Donna, was lovely and handled our lively group well! We actually ran into her daughter who was the bartender of the bar we went to after as well which was such a funny coincidence. For apps we ordered the meatballs and carpaccio. The meatballs were delicious along with the bread that came with them. The carpaccio was a little strange, since it had avocado, parmesan, capers, and mushrooms as toppings. I feel like usually with a raw beef dish you want to highlight the meat's quality and leave it pretty plain but regardless, it wasn't bad and at least there was a lot of it! For an entree I ordered the Rigatoni alla Melanzane which was great, the eggplant was cooked perfectly. Overall, we had a great experience at Mio Modo!

Tried Mio Modo during lunch break. It was a bit difficult to figure out where to park. The interior/ambience is lovely - modern, soft, and clean. I think there were only 2 other people in the whole restaurant and I stood there for several minutes after I came in prior to my presence being acknowledged for seating. That was frustrating. The menu is reasonable, and the food was good. I picked the chicken parm, generous portion, sauce was good, pasta was cooked well. The mass amount of aurgula on top was a bit odd but took it off. The complimentary bread with oil and cheese was good. It also took what seems to be a lengthy time frame for me to get the check when I tried to leave which again was frustrating particularly when there were very few people in the restaurant. Despite the minor frustrations, it seems like a reasonable place that I would give another try.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience this weekend! The food was amazing, omg the sauce was life changing. The service was fantastic, she paced everything perfectly. The tables were a little close together, the people next to us even said something. It was awkward how close we were. The decor is nice, it is a lovely place.

Very clean, wonderful experience. Everything made was fresh, came for lunch and had the lentil appetizer (which was a completely new and different way to serve it) - but it was delicious! Main course: linguine w/clams, rigatoni vodka with crumbs of sausage. (Again/ phenomenal). Paired it with a Pinot (Tuscan) Noir. Wife had a Prosecco, and it went very well with our meals. To finish, we both had their gelatos, (mint chocolate chip and she had pistachio) and they were extremely filling and perfect to finish the meal. Bread is fresh, service was outstanding and Dawn was extremely cordial to us, and we enjoyed her recommendations and attention to us when needed. It's not cheap, but well worth the trip and the visit. Place was just renovated 2 years back and it shows. Love the rustic inside vibe, and again, very clean. We'd definitely be back again. Wonderful!

Lovely restaurant in St. Charles. Mary Beth greeted us warmly (even though we showed up for a late dinner). Ambiance was nice and the food was great! Beautiful bar area and artwork around the restaurant. Mary Beth made our experience excellent.

This is our favorite restaurant restaurant in St.charles. We love traveling to St. Charles to see our friends at the company Christmas party each year. The food and drinks and the ambiance are great. The staff is very kind and attentive to everyone. My ex- bosses are regulars here and always have the Christmas party at this location, and we are always treated very nicely.

    Sofia Loren cocktail

Modern feel Italian restaurant located downtown St. Charles. The decor is great, casual feel and not overly loud. Drinks are great, tried the Sofia Loren and the rum punch. Momma's Meatballs as an appetizer- it's a like a whole meal in itself but so good! Pasta entrees - I asked for a modified linguine with shrimp instead of clams which they were able to do with no problem. Service was on point from the moment we walked in 10/10. Will definitely be back!!

They also changed up their cocktail menu, and we were super excited to see they had some new summer drinks. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. It's perfect for special occasions and date nights. The first two times we came we sat at the bar, but we came right when they opened and were able to be seated at a table. I love the candlesticks they have lit at the tables. There's a a view of the kitchen as well. To drink, I had the Dip in the Backyard Kiddie Pool (very refreshing) and Fresa Fresca (basically a strawberry margarita and it was super refreshing and tasted like strawberry juice). For dessert, we shared the oreo carjillo. It was pretty strong to me, but it definitely tasted like Oreos and milk! To eat as an appetizer, they gave us complimentary bread and butter and we ordered the sundried tomato oil to go along with it (a must). Their bread is so soft and fresh. We also got the bone marrow (forgot to get a photo), and it was some of the best we've had!! For our entrees, we got the two pasta dishes. They called them "small plates" but it was the perfect amount of food for us with our appetizers. I had the spicy carrot rigatoni pasta and it was super fresh. I love that they cooked the pasta al dente.

We loved everything about The Graceful Ordinary from the ambience to the amazing service (thanks Karen!) to the creative cocktails to the delicious food. When we arrived at the table, there was an anniversary card from the staff. Nice touch! We were brought a loaf of the warm housemade bread with whipped butter to begin. Hubby ordered the Having a Moment bourbon cocktail, and I had the Honey Kiss vodka and elderflower cocktail. Love their creative cocktail list. Karen was a fabulous server, so attentive and friendly. The other staff was on top of everything from water being refilled to clearing dirty dishes and even fresh butter brought to the table when it was low. Our needs were met before we even needed to ask. Also, since Karen knew that we were splitting all the courses, she automatically had the food split between two plates. I liked that. We decided to split everything we ordered. We started with the smoked salmon deviled eggs which were creamy delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. Our second starter was the bone marrow with caramelized shallots. This dish was absolutely amazing. My only critique would be to put four pieces of bread on the plate went two people are sharing. Our next course was a salad and we went with the roasted beet salad with blue cheese and sunflower shoots dressed in a warm bacon vinaigrette. Bacon - need I say more? Our main course was the walleye with ricotta gnudi, fava beans, peas and wild mushrooms. So many flavors and textures going on. The fish was perfectly seared and moist. Delectable. We thought about dessert but we were so full from dinner that we passed. Karen wouldn't let us go without a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary to enjoy at home, their signature butterscotch pot de crème with sea salt caramel. The Graceful Ordinary certainly made our anniversary special with the anniversary card at the table, and the complementary dessert. If you're in the western Chicago burbs, I highly recommend checking this restaurant out.

We initially tried to dine at Tia Carmen's downstairs, but the wait was too long--so we headed upstairs to Revolución instead. We were among the first guests. The service was friendly, though not particularly attentive. Our server didn't check in often, and we had to wait quite a while for water--thankfully, the busser eventually stepped in and kept our glasses full. The food was tasty overall. We weren't fans of the chips served with the guacamole; they were more like plain tortillas--dry and lacking salt. That said, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. My suggestion to management: even when it's slow, make sure tables have water and guests are checked on regularly. A little extra attentiveness would go a long way in improving the experience.

The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.

Charging a 3% credit card fee when you don't accept cash is absolutely lame. Yes, debit cards are free. I didn't see that until after I paid the bill. There is a pour your own draft system with about a dozen beers but that doesn't impress me. An undersized bags, bocce and putting green. Some decent new arcade games. I guess it works just fine as a Chuck E Cheese alternative with fewer games and a full liquor bar. I can safely say that I won't be going here again for a date night or otherwise.
