Worst customer service and professionalism. Pool Pros serviced our pool, jacuzzi and fountain for over 5 years. They failed to show up several times a month and rarely answered any of our requests for service. Never properly maintained equipment or electrical systems. Mgmt changed a few times, and we were promised better service. Last service we had was tile cleaning. The job was done poorly, huge mess of calcified residue in our fountain which stopped working. Pool Pros mgmt took 5 months to address the issue and then wanted to tear up the entire fountain to "fix it". We went with Villa Pools who corrected the issue in 6 hours without tearing anything down!! Pool Pros never even bothered to apologize or follow up on the work repair. Nicolette is extremely rude, and the entire staff absolutely lacks integrity. read more

Pool Pros are truly amazing with outstanding customer service and quick response. We had another company previously and switched three years ago. I can't even believe the difference in the level of service and wish we had switched years ago. We recently had an issue with our Sparky and Pool Pros jumped right on the request for service they patiently worked in combination with the gas company and our plumber to solve the problem. It was a complex issue and it got resolved without needlessly replacing parts in today's environment, fabulous service must be recognized and broadcasted. It's a terrible company. The price I paid for them is for 4 times per month, once a week, but they only came 3 times per month. And my pool is very very dirty. Fallen leaves, stones, mud, bugs, everything is in my pool. There is no service, no clean, no sanitation, I can't imagine that is a pool service company can make it happen. And they are so rude when I try to communicate with them. So terrible. I will never use them again. And their price is higher than others, but their service is really not match their price. read more

Bad service. They left their trash on my backyard then they broke my hose. They tried removing the nozzle using channel locks, they couldn't remove it so they left it there. When I went to go use my hose to wash my car it was leaking everywhere. So now the nozzle is stuck on the hose. So now I have to buy a new hose and nozzle. They're called "Pool PROS" I would think they would have their own hose when they show up to their job site knowing they have to fill the pool with water. read more

The Pool Pros served my home in Newport Coast. They had horrible billing service and Nicollette did not do book keeping and had no records for customer's payments. She kept sending the bill even though she cashed out the check or received money for that month service. After talking to her over the phone multiple times she would still make the same mistakes. The worse thing is no one in that company really care about the customer's concerns and no one was willing to correct the mistake. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Pool pros is an exceptional company! Not only do they have honest pricing, but the people they employ are intelligent, attentive and understand pools! I am especially impressed with David! He has cheerfully answered ALL of my never ending questions to improve to look of my pool. I have learned so much from him! He has been attentive in finding my pool tiles and quoting several different services to avoid me the expense re tiling my entire pool! The maintenance work is exceptional as well. Yelp for some reason filtered my review... Our last pool company just wasn't that great and seemed to overcharge us anytime something broke and our pool always seemed kind of dirty. We found these guys and have been using them for a little over a year. I can honestly say these guys are a really professional company! They check our equipment each week and are good at letting us know anytime anything isn't working right. Dealing with their repair dept has been very straight forward and the manager Kyle is great at letting us know what exactly the problem is. Also our pool cleaner Pedro does a great job each week. The Pool Pros is the umbrella company for Sunbrite Pools and Ben's Pools, which merged. I had service with Sunbrite for 5 years. He and his technicians were great. When my business was transferred to The Pool Pros, I got a different team, a price increase in pool maintenance, and a decrease in quality of service. My issues were as follows: 1) Poor communication - Techs go on vacations and it is not communicated... they just don't show up. Also, calls to office are not returned promptly. I would call with an issue, leave a message, and 2 days later have to call back to follow up as they hadn't returned my call. Lastly, they used to supply payment envelopes. For some reason they discontinued that, even if you receive a paper bill. I wrote them several times requesting envelopes. They never bothered to even answer. 2) Prices for repairs are not competitive - I got a quote for a new filter and installation that was 15% high than 2 other companies. 3) Cleaning service is marginal - I experienced several disappointments. One day I saw the tech just testing the chlorine level and getting ready to leave without cleaning. I stopped him and asked him to clean the pool. The tech told me they don't clean in the rain if they if they can't see the bottom of the pool. Fine, but we both could see the leaves in bottom of the pool which I stated to him. (It was misting.) Then they told me it was a safety issue as they might slip. Well, the deck of the pool gets plenty wet on sunny days when they clean and they don't slip. I called the office and was assigned someone else who they said was their "best technician" Alex. Last visit on 2/24/17, Alex didn't scrub the tiles, nor do a final skim of the surface of the pool. There was debris floating on top. When I came outside, he told me the pool was 90% clean. Why not 100%? It was a clear sunny day. I didn't debate it with him because that is when I decided to cancel my service. Go with Arrowhead Pools. They are friendly, professional, and competitively priced. They came by the same day I called them, and gave me a better-priced quote that includes the chemicals, pool vacuuming, tile scrubbing, skimming, and basket emptying. Work is done by the owner or his son. read more

I purchased a home with a pool and spa about three months ago clueless as to how a pool or spa works. (probably not the brightest idea) I saw one of the pool pros blue trucks down the street so I called them. I explained my situation and they sent out one of their guys to share some of their knowledge. I had a list of questions for them (really stupid ones too) and not once did they make me feel like they were annoyed. They were nice enough to label my equipment and valves so I had a better understanding. Their knowledge and professionalism led me to signing up with them for weekly service. We recently remodeled our pool and our pool builder sent over pool pros to do our initial start up. We had a pool guy in mind but the start up was included in our initial price so we went ahead with pool pros. Alex was our start up guy and was very knowledgeable and professional... I must say he did a very good job. He offered weekly service and we were a little iffy since we had someone else in mind. He then brought to my attention they were bonded and insured in case an emergency happened. Fired them today. Terrible customer service and they look for every way to charge for additional revenue lines for their company. Called for a broken heater and pool pump and it's been a week and no calls back from the service department. I called the two gals (they negative mindset and a "tell me what I can't do instead of what's possible" attitude) in the office and all they would say is they don't have an update and that the service personnel will get back to me. They never did after me calling several days in a row to follow up. The pool service tech is here no more than 20 minutes per visit....I've watched him to track the time. I've had to follow up with him personally on how he brushes the pool. Overall, this is a 1,000 pool service company that is far too big and worried about revenue, profit and not the customer....at least not me, my neighbor and a few more neighbors on our street that have terminated service with them in the last month. This company was Ben's Pool Biz and was acquired by a larger entity....and the service has gone down the drain. I am so happy to have sent THEM down the drain. When I called to terminate, the lady processed the order as if it were just any other bill, no attempt to rescue the customer or any attempt to find out what it would take to improve the service.....ZERO PROFESSIONALISM. ZERO. The drive through personnel at In N Out Burger provide 100% better service than the ladies in the office...and the service team of Pool Pros "aka greedy dummies" and so that is why they are FIRED! I just moved in to a new house with the plan to remodel the backyard. I started looking for contractors and came across Brad with The Pool Pros from one of my new neighbors. After receiving multiple bids I decided to hire the pool pros because they presented options the other guys nor I had thought about. I needed to add a spa, redo the deck and remodel the pool. After the permitting process the demo crew started right away. A couple days later the remodel crew begin building up the spa. The entire process took about 2 months start to finish. The reason I am writing this review is because I felt Brad and the crew at the Pool Pros went above and beyond. The crew was professional and clean. Anytime I had a question I could ask the foreman Tony or call Brad. An overall pleasure and great experience! read more
