Running errands the day after Christmas and checked this place out. I loved that they have a huge patio with a lot of TVs to watch football. Very COVID friendly with mandatory masks and temperature checks. We ordered wine (Sonoma cutrer :) and a captain and diet with the pretzel appetizer. Drinks were good and the pretzel was great....it's huge and fresh, not hard like you often get at sports bars. We both ordered tacos. The blackened shrimp were my favorite. Service was good. We will definitely try The Porch again and are looking forward to their opening in Gilbert. read more

Went yesterday and it was way better than my first time even tho it took 45 minutes to get my sandwich and the fries were cold. I think they were either super busy or had issues in the kitchens. Either way, the Nashville chicken sandwich is still one of my favorites. Sooooo good. Nice and spicy but that apple is crisp and cooling. Super Fucking good. Big call out to Justin and Kaitlyn at The Porch. They seated our very large party at very short notice and we had a great time. The atmosphere was fun and the music was great. We used to go to the Arcadia location and loved it, but we moved closer to the Tempe location so we tried it out. NEVER AGAIN. Our server, Breanna Isabel, was absolutely awful. Took forever to get anything from her. She forgot to bring things to the table. She would ask one person at our table of ten people if she wanted anything then would walk away and ignore the rest of the table. She wasn't familiar with the menu and kept asking us questions.... the server asked the guest questions about the menu... it was the worst service a lot of us have ever had. And most of us are in the same industry so we understand the struggle right now but that was ridiculous. We would have mentioned it to a manager but we couldn't even get his attention.. awful everything. Will not go back or recommend ever. read more

Fig mule is my favorite mule. Came in with my sister I got the green chili Mac with chicken and she got the Ruben with truffle fries. She likes her Ruben but my Mac came out like it was sitting in the window for a minute, like warm and the cheese had settled on top, I was super hungry so I didn't say anything. To no fault of our servers, she was great, as was the manager that helped out- but oh my, what a terrible experience. My second time dining at a Porch restaurant, both different locations and I was hesitant on even returning for a second time at a new location. The food is beyond mediocre, most likely served not hot from the kitchen and just bland. I'm assuming the younger generation goes here for the atmosphere and drinks, but food is not it- out of just about everything on top of it. This place was just ok. Outside area was pretty nice with a lot to do yet food, drinks and service were below average. Drinks are small, food was typical bar food and not very good quality and the servers were very slow. We waited awhile just to get our first drink. Our food came out before our drinks did if that tells you anything. It may have been an off night or our waitress was just overwhelmed with the 2 larger groups but I was hoping for a bit better. My wife just got a promotion at work and she has been EAGERLY awaiting the opening of The Porch so we hit it first day. It was remarkable how well everything was running on an opening day. Everything was great- food, drinks, vibe, service (Emma was outstanding). The fun part of the story- they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. I think my wife may have cried (not really joking). Emma asked if she had Celiac's and about how the kitchen will switch gloves, etc. my wife was ecstatic as she ate some truffle fries. Normally, if she's been glutened she'll start getting a rash quickly but she's totally fine. We have our new neighborhood watering hole and couldn't be happier about that. read more

I am giving The Porch a bad review. We were going here initially to get food but that did not come to pass. After waiting an hour and having nothing but drinks to have our party decided to leave. We then decided to go to Wendy's where we were given much better service how this is I don't know. So if you are coming here for food I would highly suggest you go else where but if you are looking for drinks then by all means come to The Porch. read more

We had the watermelon punch for two and we had the waffle tenders both are really good I really like the waffle tenders they had a nice kick to it, the watermelon punch didn't taste like it had very much alcohol and it was really sweet But the waitress said it had 6 ounces of alcohol in it and it came into the picture and had to collectible cups which is really nice. Came here a few days ago for lunch. The whole experience was pretty mediocre. If you like listening to mill ave techno crap at 11am with incompetent young ASU blondes serving you then this place is for you. This place is definitely geared towards the younger college crowd. The menu is pretty small which is not necessarily a bad thing. The prices are on the higher end. The waitress took forever to get us our beer. The beer finally came and it was room temperature. My buddy ordered a grilled cheese, and the bread they use is so thick and dry. The amount of cheese used was small so you basically were eating 2 slices of bread. The fries are ok. We asked the waitress to put on a specific game on the tv and she said she would. She never did. So we asked a different server who was walking by to change it to the game, said she would and again she didn't. We were gonna stay and drink some more and watch the game but we decided to just go somewhere else. There's way too many options for good bars in Tempe to be this mediocre. read more

The wait for seating was half hour, totally fine for a Sunday around lunch; the wait for food was totally unacceptable. We were just about to leave when the waitress came and told us it would be out shortly, the first time we heard from her at about 40 minutes. It took over an hour for our food to get to the table and that was only half of the table. The other two meals came about ten minutes later.
