We ordered some mango soju (similar to sake--kind of like sweet vodka). It was really good! Two of us ordered the bulgogi, and one ordered the spicy pork. Both came with white rice. I really liked the spicy pork, which had quite a hot kick to it. The bulgogi was good, too. The serving sizes where quite large, which was good because we had lunch the next day. The bulgogi was not quite as good as I've had in another Mesa restaurant, but it was still good. Went to Drunken Tiger and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience with our server, Ally. At the beginning, we were about to order drinks, but she unexpectedly walked away from our table before we could even finish ordering. After that, we barely saw her the entire time we were there. She never once checked in on our table -- no asking how the food was, and no follow-up if we needed anything. A whole other server came to refill our drinks. The only time she came back was when it was time to drop off the bill. We brought the issue up to other servers and asked to speak to a manager, but were told that no manager was available. Nothing was done to address the situation or try to remedy the experience. To make things worse, the bill came with the expectation of paying a 20% tip despite receiving virtually no service. It honestly felt like our table was completely ignored the entire visit. Really frustrating experience and definitely not the level of service you expect when going out to eat. We're back again and this time we tried some new dishes. We got the spicy mussels and yang nyum chicken. The taste of the sauces are quite similar that we had to get the cheese corn to balance out the flavors. Which was the best move we made tonight. Their cheese corn is one of the best tbh. I can say the dishes weren't spicy this time around and we were both wondering if the chef had changed or not. Overall, glad we tried different dishes this visit but would recommend doing different pairings. my boyfriend and i went here last night but it was pretty bad. we got the ramyun w/ an added egg + rice cakes and asked for it extra spicy, the kimchi pork fries, the boneless korean fried chicken, and the potstickers. my boyfriend actually loved the kimchi pork fries but i thought they were flavorless. We came here in search of a late night place after arriving at the airport. This place didn't disappoint. It was open till midnight with the full menu. That's rare in Phoenix, and especially for Asian food. The inside is a welcoming casual vibe. I take it this is what a typical restaurant in South Korea is like. Lots of younger people dressed in normal clothes, and the best part was the tastefully low-volume music playing. I was in complete shock I was eating at a place in the Phoenix area near midnight, and able to actually have a conversation with the person across from me at the table. The best part of the meal was the Corn Cheese. It was incredible. So cheesy. 5/5. The potstickers had a nice drizzle of sauce but were pretty standard. 3.5/5. The Fire Chicken was supposed to be mild spicy but it still was still having me gasp for air. Super spicy, but ultimately a very solid dish. 4/5 Red Rice Cake balls were pretty bland and overly chewy. 3/5. Silkworm Pupae Soup was disgusting. I pretty much ordered it since I wanted to try something bizarre. I couldn't get over I was eating insects, but despite that, it just had no flavor and wasn't worth getting past the nasty fact I was eating insects. 0/5. They offer more flavors of soju than I've ever seen! Padak/popcorn chicken was nice and crispy. Mussel soup looks unassuming but it is spicier than it looks! We like the heat but avoid this dish if you don't. Tofu kimchi is a nice slightly healthier alternative to all of the fried food. The tofu itself isn't seasoned but it went well with the kimchi and pork belly. (I wish it came with rice though, had to order a tiny bowl separately). While not the best Korean food I've had in AZ, everything we got was solid and the vibes were good for a Friday night. read more

We also ordered the fried gizzards and they were great, they had pieces of fried garlic throughout and sliced serranos which added some extra heat. My least favorite dish was the fried ramen. It sounded interesting and I love eating dried ramen so I figured Id try it. It was fried ramen coated with cinnamon and sugar. Perhaps it could be a good side dish for drinking, but it was a little lacking for me. I did enjoy snacking on it later. All in all we paid $110 including a 20% tip. We tried Drunkin Tiger out on a total whim on last minute date night out. The space is dark with pops of color, a once bar area now sets a stage for the restaurant staff's use. The place was surprisingly busy. The food was yummy, a sort of twist to your typical Korean bbq and Korean food menu options. We had Korean chicken wings and sizzling bulgogi plate. Our water was served on flimsy water cups, foam paper plates, so don't expect any elegant silverware by any means. The fun/loud atmosphere with K-pop music playing is a sure treat.
