She was not friendly, she ignored multiple of our requests, and it took over an hour for us to order our food, while we watched another of her tables get sat, order, eat, pay, and leave before we even got our food. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but we still didn't get our food until ~50 minutes after sitting down because it took a while to get our orders in. Kinda bummed. Sweet potato fries were cold and crunchy like a raw carrot. My taco was soggy and a mess in the container. No utensils or napkins in the bag when delivered. This place was a great spot to have a date night. The food and staff were definitely up to par. My husband and I had a lovely evening, we even had the chance to participate in the trivia night. I loves the atmosphere. Our server was attentive and well mannered. The drinks were also very tasty and we'll portioned. I would have given five stars but near the end of of dinner, I had decided to have some more shrimp ceviche because it was so delicious. I was saddened to find a blonde and curly hair on my tongue when I was eating. It immediately just set me off and I didn't want to eat anymore. Great place. We drove literally less than 10 minutes and they had no tables inside. Stopped in for lunch today. The place is super nice with a cool vibe and not too loud..Service was great, however, the food needs some work. We ordered the salmon salad and the grilled cheese sandwich.. The salmon was ok quality but was barely cooked and was more like sushi and actually not even warm on the inside. The salad part of the dish was sparse at best. The grilled cheese was done on some great bread, however, the cheese was not even melted for the most part and the sandwich was just a touch above warm..The server ask us for feedback so I mentioned the salmon, she comped us without hesitation, which was nice, but not really necessary. This is my first ever yelp review. I downloaded this app specifically to write this one review because I had such a bad experience I was so baffled. It all started with the hostess upfront who's name was Madison I believe. we waited about 10 minutes with a party of 3 and when she was seating us we asked her if she could seat us outside.. not knowing that would be the biggest inconvenience for her to walk us 10 more steps, she visibly rolled her eyes in front of us put the menus down with a fake smile and sarcastically said your server will be right over. Our server was very sweet but after the experience with the first girl I was over it. 15 minutes for overpriced drinks, food was sub par at best, will not be recommending or returning and would highly suggest to not spend your money here. read more

This place was amazing!! My boyfriend and I came in and sat on the patio which had outside games like jumbo jenga and corn hole. I got the mule and it was delicious and the food was incredible. My boyfriend got the rueben with pastrami and coleslaw and he said it was the best sandwhich he had ever had. But honestly the best part of the night was our server Gianna! Fun spot with good food & service. However, as restaurants are supposed to follow Covid rules, this establishment is not one of them. Upon arriving yes they take your temp (but as we know you can have other symptoms), zero zero social distancing! The restaurant & bar was packed (not the 50% rule) and as you needed to wear a mask if you left the bar or table to leave or use the bathroom, sitting down everyone was elbow to elbow (especially the bar) with many standing up doing shots & socializing without a mask at the tables. I definitely saw more folks drinking adult beverages verses eating. Not sure how they can get away with this & other spots cannot but if you are concerned about Covid (as all should be) this is not a place to visit. To be fair, we did attend on a Sunday for brunch - a very busy time for them , however, probably best to take reservations & not let the restaurant be packed like the good ole days before Covid. Yay! We stopped in for some specialty cocktails... they did not disappoint! Two lovely ladies CJ and Jasmine were great! They answered all questions, pinpointed what we were looking for and introduced us to some off the menu cocktails that were delicious. My friend and I and ask the hostess to seat us, and this is well before the kitchen closes for last call when she says to us, I have to first see if there is a table where a server can tend to you. Minutes later, a party of five arrive and immediately she says to them, I can seat you guys right away, table or bar. After she seats them, she comes to us says to us, " is a booth, ok?." Although we never indicated any kind of preference, she still made us feel she was doing us a favor seating us at a booth. Already feeling unwelcome, our server wasn't any better. She could not have been more uninterested in helping us, and wanted to find every chance she could to leave our table. She purposely made herself unavailable, when we wanted to ask her for something and couldn't have been more displeased to answer our questions regarding the food items. Only when I asked to speak to the manager on duty, did she smile and came with a happy attitude. She says, "yes, of course" with a smile, and a willing to help attitude. The manager comes out, and seems completely distraught by the situation and rather than offering a solution as a manager should, he simply says to us, "what would you like me to do," which clearly illustrates he has no command of the restaurant or his employees. If you're looking for a place where the servers clearly show favorites and make you feel unwelcome and you do not belong, this is your place. But if you're looking for a good time, place to enjoy food and drinks with your girlfriend, then stay away, this is DEFINITELY NOT your place. read more

This restaurant advertises curbside pickup during COVID for those who are more at risk of complications from COVID. I ordered online through Grubhub and when I arrived the restaurant stated I had to come inside, even though they advertised curbside. Due to risk, I chose this restaurant specifically due to the curbside option. I am disappointed by the false advertising employed by this business. When I went into the business there were two hostesses standing around at the front doing absolutely nothing. Instead of creating a safe environment, management and their employees chooses to introduce additional infectious risks to their customers. Maybe the hostesses should actually do something instead sitting on their butts on the hostess stand and make the customer experience what they advertise it to be. read more

My husband took me to brunch a couple weeks ago and we chose the porch (this location) and were very excited to try it as it was both of our first times here! We were sat within 30 minutes of arriving which was great especially with how busy it was, and the hostesses were friendly and seemed happy to be at work. We were sat in Gianna's section and she was very much the opposite, she greeted our table and upon her mentioning the champagne special for the day my husband mentioned I can not drink as I'm pregnant and she instantly looked a little annoyed, she was very short with us and failed to check on us almost the entire time. We had to ask two different servers walking by for a refill, for a side of sauce that we originally ordered with our meals and then again for the check. She continued to walk past us and not look at us or she'd literally make eye contact and avoid our entire table. It was not a great experience based on this service received alone. However the food was absolutely great and we will be returning to a different location to try again! I had the green chili Mac n cheese and my husband had a breakfast sandwich which and we both agreed the food was great. We are definitely bummed this experience was less than great just based on the service alone but the location is absolutely beautiful, total photo worthy and a great brunch spot for friends too! read more

I'd driven by the porch for a few months and was looking forward to going there. The environment looked like a cool spot for a night out.. The weather was perfect. So me and my boyfriend went last week and had a horrible experience. We sat for over 30 minutes while watching servers attend other tables before we left. No one even came and brought us water. It wasn't very busy.. I was going to stop a server to ask for a drink but I thought they'd get to us eventually. Nope. I got tired of waiting and so went left and went to Doc and Eddy's which is in the same parking lot. We had a much better experience. I won't be back. read more

The four us were so excited to try out the latest south Tempe restaurant for our weekly Tuesday night dinner. Probably the best part of the restaurant is the physical space. Loved the decor and interior. It'll be great to be there when the weather is nice and the garage doors are open and it's patio weather. We arrived a little after 6:00 and were excited to find out we were able to take advantage of happy hour that goes until 6:15. Cute idea! We ordered 2 glasses of wine and 2 Coors lights only to find out that they were out of Coors light and new kegs were not arriving until the next day. I'll let this pass as newbie mistake and they don't know what their consumption rates are yet. The hubbies settled on Bud lights instead. Didn't order any appetizers as we wanted to focus on trying out their entrees. This is where the real disappointment starts. We had all ordered at the same time, but all of our meals were individually delivered over about a 5 minute period of time. That doesn't seem like much but when one person is sitting there with a hot plate of food in front of them and the last person doesn't get theirs for five minutes it seems like an eternity. Husband #1 ordered the southwest type bowl with the chicken added for $4. He said it was tasty but the added chicken was not a very large portion. Friend's hubby ordered wings and a basket is fries. Fries were good but nothing special. Wings were the same--nothing to write home about but not bad either. The two of us ladies ordered the BBQ chicken BLT. These meals are VERY small. Wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the sandwich. The bun was decent sized but the chicken was basically a chicken tender that sat in the middle of the oval bun like a hot dog (but smaller even than a hot dog!). The chicken should at least cover the size of the bun. There was an OK amount of bacon, however I had asked for it to be extra crispy and it definitely wasn't. Each half had a slice of tomato and a small bit of lettuce. It was supposed to have cheese too but I didn't taste any. Might have been such a small amount I couldn't taste it. I can't think of anything else to say about. It was a fairly unremarkable sandwich. I had chosen a salad for my side. It was also extremely small-4 bites maybe? I'm not a big person, but I was still hungry after dinner. If the price reflected the size that would be one thing, but for $14 I expect a decent sized meal. We usually go to the Vine, Bogey's, or Zipps and for the same price two of us can usually split a sandwich and be satisfied. Overall the service was pretty good. They're all definitely still learning. Everyone was very friendly. Bottom line--go to enjoy the atmosphere and not the food. read more

We've been to the Porch several times and it's always great but last night was the worst. We sat outside and had Gianna as our server. We had to go ask the hostess for someone to come to our table after 15 minutes of waiting and not being acknowledged. She finally waits on us but was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed from the start. My burger that was supposed to be medium came out super well done to the point where I couldn't even eat it. We never got any water refills and my husbands food came out about 10 minutes before everyone else's. After we flagged her down from our beers being empty for awhile, she asked us if we wanted another round and turned and walked away before we could answer. A group of us met here after work for HH on a Friday. I got there around 4:45 and the parking lot was already pretty full. We got a table for 6 and were seated right away. A friend and I split the French Dip Burger with Truffle fries and an order of nachos. The burger was incredible! The fries were really good but could've used a bit more seasoning and a little warmer. The nachos were nothing to write home about but was a good size. We each had different drinks and we were all happy with them. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great! We really liked our server because she was friendly, outgoing, and she suggested items and drinks that we liked. The patio doors were open so we could see kids out there playing. The weather was fantastic. We left around 7pm and there was a waitlist to be seated and the parking lot was completely full. Since then I've recommended it to a few people and they've tried it and also had a great time! I can't wait to go back for the Jungle Juice and burger again. read more

I visited the Porch recently to check out the new location and was extremely pleased with my experience. Not only was my server (Who's name was Aliyah) very knowledgeable about the large variety of drinks their bar has to offer, but she was also extremely helpful in finding the perfect meal (the beyond burger) for a member of our party who had dietary restrictions. In tandem with exceptional service, the food and drinks themselves were delicious, and well explained on the menu. They also came out promptly which surprised my party of 11, as they were pretty packed when we attended. They have fun patio games, lots of seating in and outside, and their staff is young but informed and extremely sociable! Can't wait to go back! read more

I was very impressed by our waitress, Lauren she was so sweet and professional which was impressive since I know the restaurant just opened!
