I recently saw something on IG about AYCE Dungeness crab not at a casino, so I did my research and found Thrasher's Pub & Broiler. It's kind of divey (which I personally like about it). It's defnitely a no frills neighborhood pub in Bothell. Every night of the week there's something going on, just check out their website for details. But we came to check out the AYCE Dungeness crab Mondays. You start with chowder & bread, salad, and, the the star of the night, all you can eat Dungeness crab. Let's start with the chowder, honestly it was pretty good - maybe I'm biased because it was very bacon forward. ;) The salad comes with your choice of dressing and is crisp and refreshing. Then comes the Dungeness crab legs, with melted butter. You can eat as much as you want, the staff will come by periodically and check on you, asking if you want more. I'm not sure if there's a time limit, it didn't seem like it, but maybe it depends on how busy they are. By the end of the night, my hubs and I probably put away at least 6 crabs. Staff were sometimes a bit slow to come around, but I was ok with that as I was working my way through the crab. My only complaint is I wish they had some wet naps to wipe my hands, they did have rolls of paper towels, though. I think next time I'll ask for a water bowl with slices of lemon. Honestly, this may be the place I take my friends and family when they visit and crave Dungeness crab. We did take a look at the menu and were interested enough to come back for the other items.

SLOW service, inaccurate menu. Arrived Friday night just before six. Crowded and noisy. Waited about 10 minutes before server stopped to take our drink order. She returned and dropped it off and I started to say "We're ready to order" but she was already gone. Might have been end of her shift but we never saw her again. After waiting 30 minutes with no staff (only 2 people working front of house) even getting close we went to bar to order. The menu said "battered cod" so ordered that. Food came out in about 15 minutes. Fish was breaded, not battered. Yes it matters. You can get breaded fish anywhere. Good battered fish is a whole different thing. This fish was fine for what it was. After finishing, waited another 30 minutes with no service so went to bar to pay. By that time place was nearly deserted. Wanted to return for Monday "all you can eat Dungeness crab" but not if I have to wait 30 minutes for each refill. We're done.

Never have I had nachos with homemade tortilla chips. Fun surprise. Highly recommended!

Great meal again! Food is always fresh and hot. Service is always good. I'd def recommend the taters over the fries, but you can't go wrong with either.

Good place for pool and drinks. The beer, fries, tater tots and the pool tables. What we did not like were the Nachos where the cheese was not pleasing and the cocktails. The staff were nice and probably short staffed which delayed the orders.

Sports bar with lots of tv's. Dive bar with character. Good food and beer. Was perfect for watching the World Cup.

If you're looking for a quick drink and food around the area, this place is good. Sort of has a divey vibe but I don't mind it.

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. Get the black pepper sauce! Amazing from start to finish, and Chef V or Rachel is lovely to work with.

However, yesterday on 6/28 when the wait was too long so I decided to choose takeout, it was the worst service I've ever experienced. I walked inside, placed the takeout order, and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I went outside to the bench to wait to realize the server didn't take my name for the order. After about 20 minutes had passed, I walked back inside to look for someone. I saw another server walk over when I was lost and waiting and she ended up helping another group who walked in after me, so I was ignored. Then I initiated the conversation and asked about my order and she said "Oh please wait outside and we will come out to give you your order when it's ready." I glanced over and noticed someone bagging takeout orders, so I walked back outside. Another 25 minutes passed and no one has come out to deliver my takeout order. It was about 45 minutes since I placed the order and I was not happy. I walked back inside and asked the server behind the counter. Mind you this is the 3rd server. They asked what I ordered (since my name was not taken down when the order was placed, it made it unorganized) and one of the two takeout bags that was sitting on the counter for a good 20 minutes I noticed it was my order. When I got home, the burger buns were all soggy and the fries were soft and not crispy anymore. This is such an unfortunate situation because I've always shared positive comments about The Cottage, but with the experience I had yesterday, I will be rethinking to come back.

This is where you get the super-nice meat and fish that supermarkets and big-box stores don't have. And their house-made fish dips are amazing. In long It's a little strip mall by the Speedway that would be kinda sleepy except for the drive-through coffee line constantly forming around the whole building. E&O have the end unit. You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. I'm placing this as one of my new favorite sushi spots on the Eastside! Four of us came for an early dinner around 4:30P on a Saturday and got seating right away in a booth. The restaurant is on the smaller end with just a few tables on each side and a few seats at the sushi bar. In addition to an appetizer, two of us shared three specialty sushi rolls and the other two in our group ordered the chicken katsu meal set. Our sushi arrived beautifully all on one plate. Each specialty roll included 10 pieces and they all contained a generous amount of filling with a relatively thin rice layer, making the average price of $18 - $19 per roll worth the value. + TAKOYAKI ($7.50): These deep-fried dumplings had a soft creamy interior and housed a small piece of tender octopus. Four pieces came in an order, topped with mayo, unagi sauce and bonito flakes. I loved the crispy exterior and they were served steaming hot. I am not sure they were made in-house or frozen, but they were delicious. + KOUSHI ROLL ($17.99): A crab, avocado and cucumber roll topped with cajun seared salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, green onion and fish roe. Between the crab filling and spicy mayo, this is a pretty creamy roll. The salmon on top had a very light sear, so while the smoky flavor was noticeable, I considered it closer to raw. The unagi sauce added some sweetness that offset the mild spice. + NAGOYA ROLL ($18.99): Tuna avocado roll topped with salmon, ponzu sauce, sweet sesame sauce, green onion and fish roe. The freshness of the fish especially shined here between the large cubes of tuna inside and the meaty slice of raw salmon on top. The sauce simply enhanced the roll without taking over the flavor, so it didn't distract from the purity of the ingredients. + SETO ROLL ($18.99): Spicy tuna and cucumber inside topped with tuna, ponzu sauce and green onion. This roll is HOT, like at least 3/5 stars on the spice scale! As spicy as it was, I really enjoyed it, especially since half the roll was topped with medium fatty tuna which was such a nice treat. Lean tuna draped over the other half. Chopped green onion on top added pops of freshness. The chicken katsu meal ($16.99) came with salad, rice and miso soup. I tried one piece of the chicken which was tender and had an excellent light crunch! Service was great as the two employees managing the dining room checked back a couple times and were actively watching in case any of the tables needed anything. I know I'll be back again for more sushi!
