The service there is okay but there is one lady that is named April who is just so incredibly rude. She talks with a snarky attitude as well as talking down to the customer. She is by far the most difficult person to deal with, and the owner Ramon is no help at all. read more

Older gentlemen not very friendly. This place buckle and dime you to death. I almost got a PO Box there until I saw all the fees. I went in to buy a box and asked if to use the tape. They wanted to charge me a dollar to tape the the box. Ridiculous! read more

I had generally been very pleased with this small, local business, until yesterday. My elderly father had a medical emergency, and on his return home from the hospital, asked that I stop by The Post Box to pick up a box in his name. My parents had just moved into a new home and adding this emergency to their life has been more than traumatic. I get to the store and am greeted by the owner, Ramon. I explain that I'm picking up a box for my dad and am then asked for a "call in code" of which I do not have and have never heard of. I explain the situation with my parents and am again told I need this code "for security reasons". I asked if it would help if he spoke with my dad on the phone and was told again "only if he has the code". I am told the same response when I ask if my mom can pick up the box. I am obviously very flustered and explain that I can tell him exactly who the package was sent from, who it's to, the mailing address AND the tracking number, and again am told the code is needed. I called my parents, whom did NOT need this additional stress, and ask if they can find the "call in code". Mom's never heard of it and neither has my dad. Ramon asks them through me to find their original paperwork for establishing their post office box, as the code is listed there. Since my parents had just moved, we have no idea what moving box that paperwork would even be in. Thinking Ramon would consider our dire situation and accept all of the information I can provide which obviously proves it's our package, he stood without emotion and asked me "Would you like to guess the code?" Now I'm livid! Guess?!? Is this a joke?!? I said some very choice words and left, having never been this angry at a store owner. I get to my parents house and search for the moving box which would contain paperwork with the now infamous "call in code" and cannot find it. Thinking it would help for him to talk to Ramon as he'd been so kind to my dad whenever he'd been in the store. my dad calls. He expresses his disappointment in how I was handled and asked if his wife can pick up the box. What does Ramon say? "Of course, she just needs to bring her key." WTF?!? A key? I could have brought the key!!! Now I have to bring my mom who is completely frazzled having just come home from the ER with my dad, to deal with this person. Upon our arrival, I place the keys on the counter and announce my extreme frustration. Mom gets a shipping slip from her post office box and Ramon hands over the box. I sternly asked him why he didn't just originally ask me for a key instead of humiliating me in front of his staff and other customers by making me guess the "call in code". I further explain that they are a local small business and they should know their customers well enough to help them in an obvious time of urgent need. Again, as he'd done before, he stood with hands folded and with no expression. He not once apologized or acknowledged what he'd done to my parents and I in an upsetting time. Sure, a business has policies, but when a paying customer has everything needed INCLUDING A TRACKING NUMBER and elderly parents who cannot locate a code in an urgent situation, HELP THEM!!! Not only did they lose me as a customer, my entire family who was home with my dad and heard my anger and frustration and saw my tears from just trying to help my parents, will never do business here again. My parents' post office box has been closed and a local business has not only lost many customers, but has left such a bitter memory on a day that was already stressful and upsetting enough. What a wonderful shop. Truly a hidden treasure! I had passed by so many times without noticing it, until one day I had to mail a package cross-country fast, and happened to drive by for lunch. Checked it out and turned out to have NO waiting line, MORE delivery options, and most importantly FRIENDLY staff! Went over options with me and helped me save half the price of what I would have paid with Fedex (and they aren't nearly as nice or fast). What a great help on an otherwise hectic day. When I reached back to the office that very day, I realized I had given the wrong recipient address, and tried calling them (phone number on receipt). Woman remembered me, and immediately fixed the address on the package. What great service! Will go again and again and again! read more
