Nothing but great service and friendliness from the owner here. She was very helpful in setting up the box and managing all of our packages when we moved here. I don't know understand the negative comments either and most of the seem pretty unreasonable folks. Regular customers do get priority because we pay for a service and Kim treats everyone fairly and juggles a lot of things at the same time. Give her a try, she is very sweet and cares. read more

Used the notary service twice, and purchased supplies and postage. Staff and owner evidently know patrons on a first name basis as I have witnessed this civility in practice with other patrons while addressing my various envelopes. Traveled extra distance just to continue to patronize this location when other notaries are in closer proximity to my home or place of business. read more

This business does not honor the hours it is supposedly open, they open and close on a whim. The owner is exceedingly rude and unreasonable. The prices are outrageously high and she acts like she's doing you a favor by even talking to you. The business decor is craft fair chic , every inch of it is full of over priced low-quality trinkets. If I wanted that experience I'd go down the street to circus circus, at least there they'd appreciate my business. It's with a heavy heart that I write this review. I been into this place in several months but it's always been one of my favorites to mail my art from: local, trustworthy, usually welcoming. Today I had a piece to mail and went to the door which was locked. It had a sign asking customers to knock. As I began to knock, I recognized the familiar face behind the counter, she proceeded to point to the door next to me. I understand that the pandemic has changed a lot of things, but when I went in I was immediately scolded about not having an appointment. she said "Nothing has changed, same as the last time you came in". What? This wasn't the expectation the last time I was there, but in her mind, I'd made this mistake before. I felt like I was in trouble! She did end up facilitating my transaction, unhappily. I'd like to chalk this up to just a crummy day, but I certainly don't appreciated being treated like a bad kid at school. Customer service is everything. Maybe a nicer explanation and clearer signage might have helped to avoid this abruptness? I'll be taking my business elsewhere now. Super bummed. I have really loved this place. read more

The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Their business hours are not realistic for anyone who has a job. (9-5??) I only went to this place as it was on my way home from work (which I had to leave MY job early to catch them while they were still open). I arrived at 4:59, happy to have made it while they were still open. The grumpy lady behind the register made multiple comments at how annoyed she was that I was there, and when I asked her about it she said 'We're closed sir', and I said no you aren't I arrived before you closed. Then she asked me if I wanted to argue about it or have her send my package. I told her to give me my package back and I left. I asked if she was the owner and she said yes. So I guess I have no one else to complain to other than Yelp. So here goes.. DO NOT GO TO THIS "BUSINESS", they do not care about their customers, about service, or generally about people. I'll drive the extra half mile to go to literally anywhere else. read more

Horrible customer service! My review is like many others: I want to support local business, but it's hard to do when the staff is so rude.

Súper nice ladies. She found the material I needed to pack my items and it made it to its destination safe. It was about 45 I think for the box, packing material and to send it. I found it a little expensive but i don't ship items often to know what the price averages. I didn't do 5 stars as it's my first time there. If I do need to ship something in the future I will go there again. read more

I had nine envelopes that were all the same size and weight. They charged me $2.57 to mail. I only mailed five because I didn't have enough cash. When I went to the real post office they charged me $1.19. I called the Postal Depot regarding a refund, which they wouldn't give. They said they went high to ensure my mail got to its destination. I'll just go to the USPO from now on. read more

This mailing center is on California Avenue and serves as an alternative to using the Post Office, or a UPS store. I haven't had to deal with a line here, yet; so that's the main plus for me going here. Their location is also far enough away from any Post Offices, so that creates a good reason to go here instead of clear across town if you live close to The Postal Depot. The staff is friendly here. They take US Mail, FedEx, and UPS packages. There is no private lot, so parking might be a little bit of a challenge, sometimes. read more

First and foremost, I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I hope the owner was just overwhelmed and having a bad day. Nonetheless, I have to say from the moment that I walked in, the level of customer service was lacking in every way. No greeting, smile, or pleasantries. I allowed the UPS delivery person to go in front of me and said: "he is very busy." The owner shot back: "we are all busy" in a very rude manner. I then asked her to send a package out and I had a return label. She snapped at me that it would be $1 for her to tape the label to the package and then went on a tirade about how people don't understand that tape costs money. I agreed to pay the $1 and told her that this would be my last time in her shop. She said: "that is fine with me." I was blown away. Again, possibly a bad day, but wow! The lack of any customer service was too much for me. I will now drive out of my way to go to another shop. read more

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. They always help me fix up the items I need to ship. I don't like going to the postoffice as there are always long lines. I go here once a month and I never had a negative experience here. read more

I've had a mailbox at the Postal Depot for about 3 years now and regularly have them forward my mail all over the U.S. I've been really please with the service and the prices. I've used other mailbox services over the years and The Postal Depot is superior to them all. I don't go there very often, been when I do they are friendly and remember my name! Not too many businesses are like that. I've also brought my dog in once or twice. I would recommend The Postal Depot to a friend. read more

I have had the worst customer service here on two occasions. The owner was rude and seemed upset that customers were interrupting her lunch. I am sorry but your burrito can wait for a paying customer. She then proceeded to tell me that USPS does not ship to Guam because it is international. Guam is a US territory and the Post Office does ship there. She would not ship my box because she said the postal service would not take it. I later took it to the Post Office, where they gladly accepted the box and my money. I will not go back here and I recommend that you not go here either. read more

I've used the Postal Depot many times to mail packages to New York and Brazil. They go above and beyond in helping me pack things and figure out the least expensive way to ship. They seem to know most of their patrons and are all about customer service. I would recommend them to everyone! read more

First I'd like to say that the lady at the counter was selectively rude as I watched her be friendly to the girl in front of me who was mailing a letter to Washington. When it came to my turn I let her know I needed to use their notary services. I presented the document to her which was half in English and half in Arabic. She made a sour face and asked me what it was. I told her it was my birth certificate. Her demeanor became super hostile and she rudely told her that it was illegal for her to notarize that. I asked her why she was speaking to me in such a confrontational way. She told me that it was on me since I was asking her to do something illegal. I explained to her that I was merely following a checklist given to me by the country I was doing a work exchange for and that there was no need for her to get upset about it. She proceeded to pull out some Nevada State Notary handbook and show me the new code that had been implemented last year. She was so frazzeled by the whole thing. A simple, sorry, the state no longer allows us to make notarized copies of birth certificates would be suffice. Sorry I didn't brush up on my Nevada State Public Notary laws prior to my visit. After reading other reviews I see this is a common trend for this place. Look people, Reno has some amazing local businesses with exceptional customer service, this place however, is definitely not one of them. NEVER GOING BACK read more
