Great practice facility. The balls are also higher compression and good quality. Take a lesson from Joe, he is the best.

Do NOT go this driving range!!! Absolutely horrible the worst driving Range Ever! there is no upkeep this is just a landfill that you are allowed to hit golf balls on! There dog shit all over the place, Literally on the golf mats! I really wanted to like this place because it's a 10 minute drive from my house. The range is huge and there is room for a grass and mat stations. A short game practice area would work well here too. The problem is that the owner doesn't invest in the property. The grass range is really hard pan with some clumps of weeds. The artificial mats are old and worn out as are the range balls. The yardage markers are faded and hard to see. This place could be great and it was a bummer to find out how run down the place is. read more

This is a good place to go if you want a cheap place to hit balls. That's exactly what I needed. The gentleman working there was friendly. The yard markers were not marked and as a new golfer I had to go ask what was what, might not be a problem if you're more experienced. They had some mats which were kinda worn, I hit off the grass and was fine. All in all the best bargain I've been able to find close to downtown. read more

Honestly, this is just not a good range. The "grass" are bits of blades in a patch of dirt or mud. The mats are very thin and are on slabs of concrete; to say the least they don't feel great to hit off of. You're also hitting found/used golf balls so there is little consistency between shots (you know it's bad when you put down a not-so-newish range ball and are thankful for it). No yardages are marked either. For all of the above, with a location that is less than ideal, the prices are a little high to use this driving range. If you're a decent to good golfer, I wouldn't come here. read more

If you want to just hit some balls this place will serve the purpose but is not the best maintained facility. My primary gripe would be the yardages were not marked or any sign posted to let you know what color posts yardage was. The owner was a little gruff but I enjoyed the quick chat I had with him. He reminded me of my grandpa. The mats are old but I hit off the grass. Grass was in OK shape but wouldn't be up to par with an average golf course. Prices weren't outrageous but I've gotten better deals at other facilities. I would go there again but you should know what you're getting into. read more

I did not have a good experience here. In my opinion, it is very expensive as a large bucket of balls was $14, which isn't too horrible, but I have gone elsewhere and gotten the same amount for $10. The grass is not well maintained and the yardage posts are not marked. All in all, would probably not recommend. read more

My daughter has cancer and is in Mission Hospital. I live in Aberdeen, Ms and have traveled to Asheville to be with my daughter 5 times over the past 6 weeks. I play golf and was looking for a place to hit balls. I looked it up on line, called to make sure it was open and drove over to the range. It is pretty unique as to location. You have to walk on a bridge over a creek (crick) to get to the building. I intended to hit some balls. The menu was posted and with different size buckets of balls but also the owner, Joe, gives lessons. I decided to take a lesson. I am 72 years old and quit playing golf for 10 years due to knee and hip replacement. I started back two years ago and after laying off for 10 years my expectations were I would pick it up where I left off. That did not happen. I have taken lessons from several teaching pros over the years. I have paid $150 per hour for some lessons and gotten a video of myself. Joe is 77 years old I paid him $40 for my lesson and he spent about 45 minutes with me. It is the best lesson I have ever taken. When I left there I was hitting my irons flush and got my distance back because I was hitting the ball correctly. This man is a great teacher. He did not try to change me but took my swing and helped me correct the little things I was doing wrong that I could not see. He truly understands the golf swing and can relate in terms to where you can understand him. I got to play 18 holes today at my nine hole course. I hit 10 greens in regulation. I have not done that in a long time. I had 3 birdies ( not all my putts were short ones). It was such a fun round, I have my confidence back. Thank you Joe for the lesson and everyone should take lessons if you want to improve this game we love to hate. I read some of the other reviews. The range has been there 22 years and is a typical driving range where you purchase a bucket of balls and practice. It is not a country club it is a driving range. As far as other reviews, I saw what Hector wrote and that is pretty sad. I saw no evidence of that at all. It seems that Hector has a limited vocabulary. If he felt that way all he had to do was leave, but wow the language. read more
