The salon prides themselves on a "15 minute wax," and my aesthetician definitely stayed close to that timeframe. * Pain minimizing techniques. Now, I hate to break it to you, but if you're in search of a completely pain-free wax -- I have yet to come across a technique that lives up to such a promise. I came to this location because I was in a hurry and I didn't want to drive all the way to the Anthem location. Big mistake. This location is clean and the staff was very friendly. My complaint is with the lady who gave me a Brazilian. She went over the same area MULTIPLE TIMES even after I told her not to. I had some stubborn hairs and she tried telling me that it wasn't long enough (I had almost two weeks growth and I grow very quickly). I've had the same amount of growth as I've had for previous waxing sessions. It was the most painful wax I've ever had because she kept waxing over areas she already waxed, and she promised she wasn't going to rip my skin off. Usually, the pain only lasts during the wax but I was in severe pain hours after my wax and more swollen and red than average. Two days later, my pubic bone is still sore and I have SCABS on the areas she waxed more than once. I will never go to this location or this person again (I didn't want to post her name specifically because I don't want to ruin her reputation she was very nice and hopefully this is just a word of advice for her in the future). read more

Upon arriving, I was taken to the room very quickly and given thorough instruction. My "wax master" was Riley. She did a great job at making me feel comfortable in the awkward state. When I moved to Vegas I knew the owner was opening a store so I stopped by to see her in the Henderson one and she told me she would be opening a new shop in South west. Please read before coming here. So the first time I came here and saw an amazing girl named Whitney. Took great care of me, there was 25% of Hair left behind but she was so nice I didn't even care. The second time I came in was absolutely atrocious thanks to a worker named Kersey or Kirstey, unsure of the spelling, but I remembered she was a cosmetologist not an esthetician. For starters, I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and I found out about her being a cosmetologist AFTER the horrible AND traumatizing experience I had. Just to mention cosmetologist do not get training on Brazilian waxing. We watch one tutorial during beauty school and thats it! When I came in, to mention I'm always early, both the receptionist and her just glared at me. I tried saying hi and that I had an appointment at 445, and they both ignored me so I sat down unsure of what to do. Finally after 15 awkward minutes of me waiting, she finally just said "come back so I can wax you". I awkwardly followed and she just put me into the first room and shut the door. Amazed that she didn't even say "okay I'll be back just get settled in" or any further instructions, I got myself ready and waited. 20 MINUTES LATER she comes in and more nightmares follow. She begins to wax me and first pull I already knew something was wrong. Second pull was straight out when it should go against hair growth direction, left wax and immediate bruising on my body and the strip in her hand, I was in excruciating pain. She did not care or say anything, not even a sorry! She begins to go for a third but drops a stick with wax on my T-shirt, picked it up nonchalantly and just set it beside me on the paper covering?! Uhm how about the trash???? And then proceeds to finish by rushing. I won't go into the horrible details of the inside lips and rectal area. Once she was done she just left the room and said "get dressed and I'll see you upfront". Once I got up I realized I had so much left over wax I was 'sticking together'. I spent 5-10 minutes just trying to clean myself up. My Brazilian area was so bad, every hair, I mean EVERY hair on the top area was broken off and immediately ingrown. I had several BLISTERS already and so much bruising on my inner Brazilian area, and also had small like cuts from her pulling the wax strip improperly. I left incredibly swollen and bleeding, and still paid full price because I know the hustle of this industry even though she nor the establishment deserved any sort of pay for that. My skin was so damaged I had to go to the dermatologist twice! I'm just now finally recovered. I got this full Brazilian wax in late April. It is now almost July! That is ridiculous. If you can do anything, please avoid this place as apparently their staff is not interviewed, trained, or just caring people! And just Incase the employer or management try to say anything about me not being there or not, as I've seen in many of their yelp reviews, I do have my receipt and pictures of what happened as well as documents from my dermatologist. Far better experience than another wax salon I've been to. I've only been here twice but both times I've had a pleasant experience, albeit having my hair waxed down there. Calling and making an appointment was easy and they always had an opening that was convenient for my schedule. Receptionist was friendly and helpful with all the questions I asked on the phone and in person. I had a different aesthetician the two times I went and both were very good at waxing. The first one was a pretty lady and was fast. Within 15 minutes I was done and my kitty was feelin' pretty. She also suggested some tips on preventing ingrowns. The second time I went, I also had a pretty lady who waxed me (is that a prerequisite for their employees? haha). She was friendly and talkative (in a good way), which helped me get distracted from the pain. Yes, it hurt a little bit, but any hair puliin' will always have a little discomfort here and there. Even though I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes, both aesthetician's were thorough. They made sure that they didn't leave any hair left, unlike the un-named wax salon that I've been to prior to Pretty Kitty. The interior design of the place was cute and definitely girly. The place was also clean and organized. Overall I wouldn't mind going back to Pretty Kitty for my Brazilians since it IS the company's expertise. Also, watch out for coupons. From time to time they will have $20 or $35 specials sent within your junk mail (those coupon pamphlets that everyone ignores and throws out, tsk tsk). read more

The girls are great at not making awkward conversation, they're all genuinely nice and interested in chatting with you. It's easy to park and make an appointment, and you'll be pleased with the finished product. Unfortunately I feel that a couple of the front desk girls are not very polite. I've never had a problem in the past, they were generally fine. But after my last appointment the girl was snippy with me when I wanted to pay cash. I know it's really not a big deal, but it's not my fault you don't have enough petty cash. And if she were more polite about it, I wouldn't have been so irked.
