    Teriyaki wings

Tucked away in the corner of west main is another great little pub. Walking in wasn't expecting much. The staff super friendly and kind, offered different recs for sauces and options on the menu. Went with the teriyaki and sriracha garlic and wow they great! Might be my early winner of the RI Food Fights Wing Challenge. We love fresh wings, homemade sauces. It's nice to see a place like this do it right and many chains should take notes tho is how you do a wing! Not crazy crispy just enough, sauce doesn't over power the wing. Will definitely be back!

Great place to grab a drink and eat anything from mouth watering wings to 5 star burgers. Live music , dart boards , and a pool table for hours of fun. Definitely recommend this pub !

RI Food Fight- Lord of the Wings 2025 Review: A pub behind a mini mall strip? I am interested! The Pub at 2 Mile Corner is like an elevated dive bar. They look like maybe recent renovations have removed them from that dive category. Large bar, pool, darts and a new age juke box. Check out the chalkboard wall next to the bar for food offerings. Some locals at the bar told us what direction we should head in. They suggested the Buffalo Cesar (WHAT?) and the Thai Peanut. We just had to try that Buffalo Cesar! It did not disappoint. Smothered in the sauce and served with parmesan cheese on top. The flavor was an interesting combo that was packed with flavor. I REALLY enjoyed this sauce. The wing was cooked as requested, well done. I have to say we were surrounded by patrons who were super friendly and made the experience that much better. We felt welcome.

The Pub at two mile corner is in an unusual location. It's off a very busy West Main road, tucked behind a strip of businesses. Don't let that deter you. It's a local gem. Probably the best wing selection on the island. There wings are amazing. Their hog wings are the star. They are big and juicy with the right amount of crisp. Most go for wings but the burger is a solid choice. It's delicious. The hot chicken sandwich is also not to be missed. It is a very causal place with a local following. Live music nights are fun and it's gets busy but not crowded. The staff are great. The bartenders are outgoing and pour great drinks. The pub is great to get away from the bustling of Newport and just chill and enjoy some food and drink.

A hard working man's bar that puts out hard working goods. The service here is impeccable. The food (notably the wings) are some of the best south of the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. The atmosphere is rough and tough but with a soft interior, much like the region this pub is located in. I find it hard to believe most people have not heard of this pub. Everything about it really is special, without the white table cloth experience. I recommend 100%.

We headed to Middletown to The Pub at 2 Mile Corner for the @rifoodfights #lordofthewings challenge. I local pub with table games and electronic darts. We sat at the bar and ordered. I got the "hotter wings" that came recommended. My friend had the house dry rub. My wings had a nice spice. They told me it was made in house and was a bit spicier than a regular buffalo, and they were telling the truth. It had a nice flavor that was different from buffalo. Sriracha I think but couldn't be sure. Deep fried and made to order so it takes a little longer but that is ok with me! Kate's house dry rub had a nice salty flavor that I enjoyed even though I am not a dry rub fan. It was a nice way to cap off our visit to Aquidneck Island.

Going to have to update this as my recent experience wasn't quite well. The staff were (as always) spot on and the restaurant itself was just as I remembered it. There is just times when you are craving something specific and for me it was the hottest wings I could find. Called in and asked for their hottest wings and they were..: fruity is I all I can say. Nearly zero heat. Just sweet. I did go back in after having one and they gave me a cup of the hotter (not hottest) and it was better but still not what I was looking for.

Visited here for #rifoodsights #lordofthewings tour. Wings were very good. I had the buffaque flavor and it was one of the best ones i have had, and that is my go to flavor. Service wasn't best, but it was only 1 bartender so i can accept things taking time, but food was not compromised. Nice clean pub with good food.

Our spot for wings both sauced and dry rubbed. Both styles are excellent. Usually do take so can't comment on dining in.

How about having a rehearsal dinner......including 6 children?

I don't think this is the best option to accommodate a rehearsal dinner including 6 children. We do not offer table service. I can recommend Coddington Brewery as they have a full service restaurant and a great family atmosphere. Thank you.

We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

The place itself did not seem to care because nobody said anything to this table. It was a large group. I kept saying to myself if people come to my city and give it the reputation that we have of being snobby then I see why because this would never be allowed in a restaurant in my hometown. At any rate, this is the best lobster bisque I've ever had in my life. I really enjoyed it. I got the plate where it was stuffed. I thought it was just OK but I was just eating something I don't normally try.My partner got steak frites which he also really enjoyed. I love the way the vegetables were cooked. They were perfect not mushy and not underdone. Will definitely return here, if we come back to Newport. I just hope for better patrons.

As I was looking for a place to have a nice dinner with a few coworkers, Wharf Southern Kitchen and…read moreWhiskey Bar ABSOLUTELY caught my eye. First of all, let's talk about the space. Nestled in the Wharf, it was a cute little place with both an up and downstairs. We reserved a spot for around 5:30 (in April) and it was pretty open. There weren't too customers yet, and it was nice and quiet. If you're looking for a ton of space for the seating area, I will say that there isn't too much room/it's pretty nice and cozy! At Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar, they've got a line of booths along the wall, a bar area right in the center and at the actual bar, a high top, another bar at one of the entrances, and a table that seats six. Now let's chat about the service. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, and was extremely helpful when asked questions and also gave SUCH wonderful suggestions. There were MANY fantastic choices on their menu and I was having a pretty difficult time narrowing down which one I really wanted, but with our waitress's help, I was able to choose pretty quickly (and they were AMAZING choices!) Now the food! The wait for the food honestly wasn't that long, and when we got it, we ABSOLUTELY CHOWED... -The Crispy Chicken Bites were AMAZING! I ended up upgrading to the Buffalo Style, and it DID NOT disappoint at all! The Bleu Cheese crumbles were just the perfect amount, and the Buffalo sauce was JUST enough to still enjoy the crispiness of the chicken. I DID ask for ranch on the side, and that just was *chef's kiss*! -I've never had fried pickles before, but I certainly have never seen a restaurant do it with whole pickles. Though it was my first time trying fried pickles, it tasted great! I wouldn't say it's anything special, but it's a great, and lighter on the fried side, appetizer! -I was having a hard time choosing what entree to enjoy, but I'M SOOOO glad that I went with the Smoked Brisket Chopped Cheese! I'm not a big brisket girl, but I will say that this was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! At first when it came out on the bun, I was a little skeptical of how it would taste, but it definitely didn't disappoint! The brisket was cooked SO well with the perfect amount of seasoning, and it all just melted so perfectly together as I was eating it. And the tater tots were SO AMAZING (though on the saltier side) and SO perfectly crispy. I've only got great things to say about Wharf Southern Kitchen & Whiskey Bar & I WILL be back here/will suggest it to my friends visiting Newport one day!

It had giant comfy couches, tall ceilings, and beautiful, upscale decor that made this feel like a glamorous experience. Our server was extremely personable and knowledgeable, what a delight! He answered our tons of questions and had great wine recommendations for my friend. We got conflicting information from the hostess vs the server on whether food was available and what time they closed, which seemed a little odd. Ultimately I was able to order off the abbreviated trivia food menu, and really enjoyed the Winter Vegetable Flatbread with sweet potato, Swiss chard, kale, and gruyere - very unique recipe with lots of distinct flavors that came together beautifully! The crust was soft and I dipped it in some beer cheese that came with my friend's pretzel (the cheese seemed a little watery to me but had a distinct beer flavor, so bonus points for actually being a beer cheese!) I couldn't tell if a couple of my beers got rearranged on my flight board, so wasn't sure which I liked and didn't. One was smokier than I would have thought it would be but had a sweet taste. The Boch was a bit bitter for my taste. I really enjoyed the White Stout most of all to my surprise - normally a heavier beer is just okay and not the favorite of my taste buds, but this one was so unique in style and crispiness. The beers all seemed very European leaning and authentic in flavor, although a bit on the heavier / less sweet side (fitting for the colder weather but not my personal favorite). The trivia host seemed to have a lot of regulars and the volume wasn't overbearing, I'll have to check it out again and actually play next time.
