It's been over a decade since I was last in Tremblay's, dancing on the bar at close after a long night of drinking with coworkers. Nothing has changed, in the best way possible. Stained glass lamp shades, neon beer signs and an iconic wooden bar greet you as you enter. Our bartender was handling almost a full bar when we walked in and we were welcomed into the fold like family. She efficiently got our food order in and before we knew it, it arrived. We got the 6pc wing with the housemade Stormin Norman Peach Habanero sauce. The wings were jumbo (as advertised) and had a decent snap to them, but the sauce was incredible. Even through the natural heat of the pepper, the sweetness and flavor of the peach came through. The sauce was thick and each wing was coated completely, as a wing SHOULD come. Paired with the housemade blue cheese dressing, it was a match made in wing heaven. On the side we split the Caesar salad. Just the right amount of dressing, nice clean crunchy romaine, it was the perfect cooling component to the heat of the wing. After not being back for all this time, it was a pleasure to come through and have a great meal. Next time you're in Island Park, make sure to stop by and check it out yourself! I came here because of the RI Food Fights event: Lord of the Wings

This place gave us the shits! Not joking. My husband and I were both plagues about 45 minutes after eating, luckily we had just made it home. What did we eat that our kids hadn't eaten? Wings and blue cheese. Wings- Buffaque (my husband found them too sweet and I thought they were just too smothered in the sauce for my liking) Ordered well done- were not well done BLB Burger- stacked but needs more flavor. (I added blue cheese dressing.) Side salad instead of the fries- was a legitimate side salad! Both kids had sliders and the portion was good for them. My husband had a fish sandwich and it was a great portion. he said he enjoyed the sandwich. The blue cheese- house made and delicious. But was this the culprit of the bathroom adventure? Took a long time for the food to come out and it was not packed. Kudos for the young Scott Baio signed poster in the ladies room!

We have been coming back to Tremblay's for wing Tuesdays and have yet to be disappointed! The wings are amazing! All flavors are delicious, so don't make me pick! Their gator tots are also the absolute best. You cannot make them this good at home! Their service is the best, even when things get busy. The outdoor seating is an amazing place to enjoy a beautiful New England day by the water. Definitely the kind of place that you want to keep coming back for more!

It had been a year or so since we last visited and now came back two weeks in a row! Still as yummy as ever! Definitely the best wings with the absolute best Blue Cheese Dressing!

In the Newport, Rhode Island area? Tuesday night is wing night for Tremblay's Island Park Bar and Grill. Minutes drive from Newport. 50 cents wing night and crazy inexpensive beer. Lots of local new England choices. Attentive, friendly, and hard-working staff. Large venue by the water. My favorite flavor wings are mango habenero. Sweet and spicy. Don't rub your eyes after eating them, or you'll regret it! Buffalo is weak on the spice level. BBQ is ok. Teriyaki meh. Easy street parking. No issues, parking super close for free. Lots of tvs to watch sports games. It's my 3rd time here. Very consistent.

I moved up to this area from Pennsylvania where we take bar food very seriously. It took me almost 7 months to find a reasonable wing on this island. Tremblays is under a new owner and I have met him - his name is Mike. Mike has redesigned this menu as well as the attitude of the establishment - it is so comfortable and friendly - even the cooks will come out and you can chat food with them or the owner. Always open to suggestions too! Naturally they have taps (8 of them) and a full liquor bar. I am very picky about my wings because I like them very hot and I have found the best wing on the Aquidneck island here. I have attached a picture of the Pennsylvania fat back bacon dish that took me back home 400 miles away without leaving the pub. Keep it up Tremblays. Keep it up.

After reading months of mixed reviews of Pine House Kitchen & Bar, my friend and I decided to give…read moreit a try. We walked in just after 8 on a Friday night and were greeted by two very friendly young women at the host stand. We opted to sit at a high top table in the lively bar area. Every seat at the bar was taken. Our server was friendly and attentive, and brought our drinks, $8 for a Sam Adams seasonal draft, and $15 for a Bulleit Bourbon Old Fashioned cocktail (which was mixed well and nicely presented, sans the anticipated Luxardo cherry). My friend ordered the Fondue Burger with truffle fries. The burger was cooked perfectly (medium) and smothered with a delicious cheese sauce sprinkled with fresh bacon crumbles - decadent and delicious. The fries are thin and crispy (the best way) and served in one of those cute little metal baskets with just the right amount of truffle. I had the salmon rice bowl which was better than I expected it to be. The fish was fresh and cooked nicely, (medium, although it could have been taken off heat a minute or two earlier, but not what I consider 'overcooked' by any means), and sat atop some very delicious coconut jasmine rice. The bowl also had a heap of zingy red onions, thinly sliced perfectly ripe avocado, a yummy mango salsa, and was drizzled with a very nice cilantro crema. Perfection. I ate the whole thing, felt a bit overstuffed and unable to taste the burger (next time!) I am very happy to report that Pine House Kitchen & Bar got four thumbs up from us, and I look forward to visiting again with family and friends.

The parking lot was packed, but it wasn't very busy inside. It was a lot smaller than I thought. There was a dining room room to the right when you walked in with a few table tables, and then a larger bar area with tables around that. We were seated in the bar area. Inside was really nice. I really liked all of the wood finish inside and how it was decorated. I had the crispy coop, which was a fried chicken sandwich dipped in hot wings sauce with Gorgonzola and coleslaw. The chicken was really good, very tender. It had just enough spice. I ordered truffle fries on the side and they were unbelievably good! I ordered a special winter cocktail with tequila and apple cider that was really good. It was a decent size drink too for the price. My wife had the fish and chips and said it was really good. She ordered plain fries as all of the meals come with herb fries automatically. My friend had a burger and actually complained because it was too salty. They were kind enough to take half off of her meal. Our waiter was excellent. He was super attentive and we were never without a drink. We will definitely be going back here and trying other stuff.

This was the third time in a row that it sucked in plain English. The wonton soups were great, Nime chow was 100 percent flavorless, like gross.... the shrimp tempura roll and sweet potato rolls were ok, the Hawaiian roll and lobster passion roll were lousy and mushy! It's all we could taste all night long! 85 bucks on total crap! Totally gross.

Okay sushi for your typical Chinese fare location…read more Was in Rhode Island for a short spell, and had to fill up the car so looked for a place to grab a bite. This place was very close, so decided to give them a try. Outside is very generic and non-descript with only the sign outside indicating the place. Inside was nice-ish, there was a try to renovate and they got the loook right but missed some of the areas. The severs were bored but helpful. I ordered a tamago sushi warmed if possible, a sweet potato roll, and tuna sushi. Food was 20 bucks, which is a little high for the dishes ordered. Took my picks and dug in. The Tamago was served cold, rice was unseasoned, egg was sweet but needed complimentary flavors which this one lacked. The Tuna sushi was not fresh, but not too fishy in terms of smell. Tuna was standard grade and knife cut was a little ragged. Not bad but that close to the ocean I was hoping for a bit fresher fish. The sweet potato was cooked through, but the grease was a little old or the grease was not hot enough. Was a little soggy and had an off-taste. Given that their menu has all the standard Chinese fare items, lots of their to go orders were Chinese dishes, and the state of their sushi orders, this place is an upscaled version of your standard Chinese fare locations. That's not a bad thing, but it does mean that their focus isn't on their sushi and they don't do sushi well enough to be a good option. My tip would be to avoid the sushi here and stick with the Chinese staples. So long as you do that, you'll have a good experience.
