The options were overwhelming at first, but as we carefully went through each, working out the numbers, we came to a happy decision. They were absolutely correct. At this stage, it would not be worth putting our house on the market; the money we would make doing so, even invested wisely in the long run, could not match the appreciation we could expect from our real estate asset. Do NOT do business with Missy Wiesen! She engages in fraudulent business practices. The Pugh group had a listing for 2 condos. The listing was clearly for $6500/month. Once I arrived, Missy told me one was no longer available. When I showed interest and wanted to apply, all of a sudden the price increased to $10,000 per month and it was a short term lease! The owners never had any intention of leasing at $6500/month or doing a lease for more than a few months. She told me in person "if I haven't used deception to get you into see a property, then I haven't done my job". Shame on you Missy and the Pugh group! We were interviewing a bunch agents and to be honest we were not going to even meet with Jon. He was selling homes in the millions and my little condo just seemed like small potatoes. Funny story, I accidentally dialed his number so I hung up, but he called me right back! Oops...so I didn't want to be rude and I called him back. When I moved back to California, I reached out to Jon Pugh and his team because I found them on Yelp. Like another review mentioned, he actually did answer his phone and was really helpful on the first call. Jon recommended we sit down at his office to discuss the buying process, and made himself available on short notice as I was in a hurry to get a place and get out of my mom's house where I was staying at the time. When we met he listened to what I was looking for and made a few suggestions I hadn't considered. He put me in touch with his preferred lender, and recommended I get pre-approved as soon as possible to be ready to write an offer when we found something. Jon sent me some available homes to take a look at, and he also had a few team members start proactively prospecting for off-market opportunities that might be a fit for my criteria. I loved that he didn't just wait for the properties to come on the market and had people calling and door knocking to dig something up for me. We went out on two different days to view homes, and wrote an offer on a home after the second day. I didn't think the sellers were realistic on their price, and we decided to move on and look at a few home. After the third day we wrote another offer, and we were able to get it accepted. Jon was great at negotiating to a win-win for me and the sellers which made everyone a lot more friendly in the escrow process. Everything went smoothly from that point on, and we are just waiting on closing and getting keys at this point. After a few years in our home, we decided we wanted a bigger place with a yard for our kids and dog. We also wanted to be in a better school district since the boys will be starting school soon. We called Jon and knew his team has grown a lot since we worked together before. Well first off I just moved to southern California and did my entire housing search through using Yelp, Yelp reviews etc.... While looking at some review there was a box with Jon Pugh company that I clicked on. I had the shortest window of time to make a decision (3 days) and I already had it narrowed down to a few apartments but I was torn. I had left Jon a message that day and he called me that evening as he had been teaching a class all that day. I explained my situation to him and that I would probably just pick one of those apartments and I didn't need to see any of his listings This is where Jon became amazing. First off he asked me about the places I was looking at, where I worked and what was important to me. So even though he had no skin in the game on those places he gave me very detailed information and what pros each location had, what I would expect with commuting etc... Them he asked of he could look at his database and send me some links to at least look at. There were some cool looking options. Jon was leaving town that next day but assured me his team would follow up. They did exactly that. They were flexible, great communication and efficient. Although I stuck with one of the first apartment options because it was so close to John Wayne Airport and I fly everyone ekocycle it just made sense for me but the added options helped reinforce my confidence in that decision.
