Wow, this was beyond my expectations! As I perused the food vendor at the food hall, I was faced with a very tough decision. I had it down to 2 choices when the cookie lady said she had eaten here in the past (and was waiting for delivery of her lunch today). She said it was great. So here I go.... to the great unknown. I selected the shrimp po'boy from the menu and on the phone we go??? It seems this vendor had an arrangement to use one of the nearby restaurant kitchens and had their chef at the ready. While I was waiting, we talked and I discovered this is a family business... mom, dad and daughter. They were all very personable and a few minutes passed very quickly. As we chat, here comes mom with steaming hot shrimp and the assembly begins. Everything was fresh and delicious. I love my shrimp and this was one of the best po'boys. I highly recommend stopping if you see them. Enjoy!

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

From the moment we walked in, the welcome was freakin' awesome. The New Orleans vibe was absolutely on point and set the tone for a great meal. Our waitress was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu. She recommended her favorite dish, and it ended up becoming my favorite too. Now, I'm a country boy, so the deviled eggs just weren't my style, but everything else more than made up for it. The cornbread was incredible. Honestly, I couldn't decide if I was eating cake or cornbread--it was that good. The barbecue shrimp was outstanding and easily one of my favorite dishes (our waitress clearly has great taste!). The fried oysters were cooked to perfection, and the baked chicken was seasoned and prepared just right. The gator tail was great with the sauce. I've had scalloped potatoes many times over the years, but these were on another level--definitely some for the record books. If you're looking for great food, an authentic New Orleans atmosphere, and excellent service, Voodoo is absolutely worth the visit.

I seem to always crave seafood when it rains. I tried the website with no luck. It would show specials and then take me to the menu but when trying to place an order it would redirect me to page that shows other locations. I call in order and it's maybe 2 minutes start to finish - no pleasantries but efficient. I get inside within the time frame and food already packed aside with my name and receipt. I pay and I'm out. The packaging dims the smell but I drive home eager to get into my crawfish. I ordered pound of crawfish, juicy special medium that includes corn and potato. I got pound of crawfish, garlic lemon pepper butter, something milder than medium, two eggs, potato, and corn. All good just no heat. (For some reason only a much older receipt is attached to review.) That order was perfect, the costumer service was horrendous. Service not great now but it shows improvement.

They provide cajun boils with a fast food approach to ordering and cheaper prices. The ambiance at Cajun Express is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual gatherings with friends and intimate dinners with loved ones. My husband and I go here often when we are craving a good cajun boil. We have always gotten one of their baskets as an "appetizer". We've tried the calamari basket as well as the fried oyster basket and both are a great starter. The dipping sauce that comes with the basket is great! A tip is to ask them to bring out the basket first(or whatever else you want as a starter) if not they will bring you all the food out at the same time. We also always each get a boil. We've tried a lot of their seafood but my favorite is always the scallops, crawfish and clams. YUMM!! The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Cajun Express truly offers excellent value for money.

Loved the corn + soft potatoes, will definetly be coming back anytime I'm in the area. Mint lemonade was great too!!!!! Cons: The crab legs left on display to take home did not look good, which is ironic because the crab in my boil was GREAT!!!! The bathroom is horrible. The smell, having to walk past a used fryer to use it- only washed my hands but didn't see a lock so not sure. Personally didn't like the beef sausages, was really tough to eat Also just because I love hot sauce: HATED having to use packets, but to even it out they had real high quality gloves- plastic but they don't slip off like the others!!! .... honestly 5/5 even with all of that because the service, price, and quality like that is hard to come across so I'll deal w the nasty bathroom
