Dinner with friends this evening inside the Cod & Capers Seafood Restaurant. The dining area is small, so they will not seat you until all of your party is present. There is outside seating,(most plentiful), inside booths and two four tops actually inside the market, next to the dessert and fish cases. I chose the Seafood Pomodoro which was delicious and had lots of Clams, mussels, Shrimp, scallops and pieces of fish. We shared a piece of Keylime pie. read more

We had a good dinner here with friends -- even though it was a bit strange dining in a fish market. The seafood market is huge with all sorts of fresh fish and shell fish and another long cooler with frozen delicacies. Plus there is a section for wines and other fish related dinner ware that would complement or assist a seafood meal. We got there early as they don't take reservations. There are a limited number of booths inside and some small tables. Much of the other dining area is outside -- and not appealing in this hot and humid July weather. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. There are two 4-top tables inside the market. This was a little strange. I started with the lobster bisque. It was good with small bits of lobster in it. After that, I had the fried oyster appetizer. The oysters were quite small, but tasty. My husband had seafood pomodoro which was a mix of seafood -- clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and fish -- in a tomato sauce over pasta. He said it was very good and liked that it had lots of seafood. One of our friends had the hogfish meunière and said it was very good. We shared some key lime pie for dessert. It was just okay. I'd skip this next time. Glad we came to try this restaurant for dinner. Now we know. read more

Went for late lunch, place was hoppin. Nice and cool inside. I had the rosemary shrimp with polenta. Shrimp were tasty & perfectly cooked; polenta over the tomato sauce was yummy, creamy and perfectly balanced totally would get it again! For my side I tried hush puppies..very soft inside, crisp not greasy at all outside. Husb had the shrimp scampi, he gets every time..loved it. Service by Larry was great. We also enjoyed their seafood store of course we bought ..very nice once he heard we from 1.5 hours away he gave us another ice bag. read more

I happen to be in North Palm Beach on a Friday afternoon and my wife was out of town and I've heard about cod and caper seafood restaurant. It was three minutes away, and I had no dinner plans. I got greeted immediately and I had a very attentive waiter named Larry who asked me immediately what I wanted to drink. My first question was was the crab meat from Maryland and he said definitely not. So I 86 that from the list. The first thing I did was order the PEI muscles, which came in a beautiful broth with two slices of garlic bread. I also had a very nice glass of white wine and I had something that they don't serve in a lot of restaurants which is hogfish with a white wine and butter sauce. It was excellent. Nice firm and flaky. It came with dirty rice and beans, which were a nice compliment. I also had a side of seaweed salad that was quite tasty. Unknown to me Fridays from July 10 to September 25 between the hours of four and six they give you 25% off the entire bill. That was a great surprise, but I gave most of it back to my great waiter Larry. The other thing I have to mention because I wandered over to the market where they have an incredible display of seafood that is super fresh. I have not seen a display of seafood like that in any market anywhere in South Florida. They had U8shrimp which means eight shrimp to a pound. There is some incredible varieties of fish and they had have a great selections of shellfish from different parts of the eastern seaboard. I ended up buying a pound of Long Island base scallops, which brings me back to my roots. It was a fantastic experience and I hope to be back soon even though it's a little drive. Been wanting to try for a while. Sat outside on a chilly day but they have heaters so all was well. My wife got the lobster roll which she said was very good with big chunks of meat. We both got a side dish of rice and beans which we both liked. I got the Hogfish meniure which was very good as well. The the lemony butter sauce complimented the fish. Went to lunch with a friend after we worked up an appetite kayaking in the mangroves. Cod & Capers Seafood was such a delicious choice. The fish is so fresh. You can order from the menu or go inside to the seafood market and pick your fresh fish which will be perfectly prepared onsite. Love Florida grouper. Got the grouper piccata. Grouper cooked in a lemon-butter wine sauce with artichoke hearts, mushrooms and capers. So delicious. Our table also got the fish and chips and the lemon-aioli grouper. Two sides accompany the entrees. The hush puppies, salads and steamed veggies were great choices. Our waitress, Susan, was so friendly. There's a restaurant too, but as stated, plans elsewhere so this was more of a just checking it out kind of trip. If you're in the market for... well, pretty much anything for your kitchen or dining room with a nautical theme, this is the place for you! From plates and platters, to napkins, to fish shaped forceps sold solely for pulling fish bones, to literally dozens of spices-sauces-marinades-mixes, this place has it all. And OH MY GOD the seafood section, local, not local, shrimp, shellfish, and just fish. Hell, they had half a dozen different types of oysters alone! Prices are high, once could say very high, but probably normal for this area of Palm Beach. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and happy to help. The store itself is clean, bright and well lit, plenty of room to move around the spacious aisles, and absolutely zero fishy smell like you'd expect. read more

I pass by C&C on my way to work and have been wanting to see what they were talking about! I just happened to go on Thursday which is also stone crab night! Let's just say, I still walked out of here spending way too much for too little!!! First off, I went with a coworker and she was minutes behind me but they won't seat you until the full party is there. Annoying but ok! She got there, we were seated and a nice waiter by the name of Jimmy walked up. He was friendly the whole night with the cringey exception of referring to us as girls! I literally hate that shxt. At this big age sir, we are considered ladies. I did not correct him because I'd rather be called a girl by someone with no ill intention than for them to feel a way and start playing in my food! Now my coworker ordered the clam chowder and she enjoyed it. We both went with large 1 pound stone crab dinner (comes with cole slaw) and added the mixed veggies for $3 more. I'm not stone crab expert but id hate to see medium. Next time bring me the jumbo if this is large. Now the crabs were good but my plate didn't have much of anything on it worth $58 and you telling me that's the special price! Look no further if you're looking for Stone Crabs. Oh my god. During the week they have an actual stone crab special dinner. We came for lunch since I wanted as many stone crabs as I could afford lol! We both got 2 lbs of large stone crab with hush puppies. It was so fresh and delicious!! We laughed about the bill, but screw it we don't live where we can get stone crab. I have no regrets! I would highly recommend and definitely would return. There is a cute market and gift shop inside too. You can either get fresh seafood to go or eat there at the restaurant. I came here with my family for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Our waiter patiently answered all our questions about the menu and the different types of fish they serve. I ordered the steamed Ipswich clams and a house salad. The clams, served in a white wine broth with with melted butter on the side for dipping, were incredible. For specialty menu items (ex.: octopus, alligator, escargot), you need to call to give 24 hours notice. There is also a marketplace with fresh fish available for purchase. We picked up some of the biggest scallops I have ever seen. At about $40/lb, they weren't cheap, but they were worth every penny. There also is an amazing place w great food + great service + less crowds but it is in Lantana. So the only things I don't like w C&C are the crowds + location; however it is crowded bc it is just that fantastic + the location is in NPB/PBG + I live in SPB presently + I hate to drive. There is outdoor seating, indoor seating + a fresh seafood market. Staff at fresh seafood market is knowledgeable + helpful + patient. (BTW I have trust issues + every time I fact -check the staff, they are correct. Usually abt the name of seafood or location fished or how to prepare). So when I say knowledgeable, I mean knowledgeable. They have a tiny cape cod-esque retail store in front w cape cod-esque prices. Will supplement w pics bc I am planning to be there next week. They have an informative + updated IG page for the under 50 crowd/ social media crowd. Have been picking up and eating there regularly probably since 2017? It's a very nice place, but I'm not sure I love their food. The lobster bites were very chewy and tough. The Caesar salad was very overdressed. The bisque was pretty good but very heavy, and a much darker color than I am used to. The garlic bread was delicious. The rock shrimp was lightly breaded and was very good. The house salad was good and had dressing on the side which was nice. It was all just very expensive for what we got. I think the setup is very nice, I liked it. Having indoor and outdoor seating, and the gift shop when you walk in is cute. I think this is better as a place to get your seafood then to have it cooked there. Had a nice crisp glass of Staggs Leap Chardonnay with my Lobster Bisque... meh and I ordered the Wedge - note you will need to ask for it with Blue Cheese (according to the server) they serve it with Ranch. Also you may wish to ask them to toss the Wedge prior to it being brought out it's served on a dinner plate with the accompaniments (blue cheese crumbles, Bermuda onions and bacon) on the side which doesn't give you a whole lot of room to mix all of the ingredients. I sat out on the Patio enjoyed the cool air... the inside was to cold for me. We had been customers for 30 year. On 2/26, an item of $12.50 was mistakenly put on our charge. The cashier called for help and supposedly corrected. 2/28, our credit card statement showed that not only the $12.50 mistake not being reversed, there was another $12.95 extra charge. I went to the store, Shane( the manager) told me to come back during the week. 3/2, I printed the credit card statement that showed the over charges. The manager agreed I was owed $25.45. After I bought some fish that cost $20.95, the cashier was going to call it even. The manager told me to go get a couple lemons, and the cashier told me to buy some candies to make it $25.45. After I said no to both, the cashier threw $5 bill at me. The manager then said that they don't see the charges on their end. I was accused of lying about being overcharged. Never been so insulted in my life about us being customers for 30 years. Guess we will shop somewhere else; evidently they don't welcome minority customers. read more

One of the best seafood restaurants in Palm Beach County! This is a casual, fantastic spot for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is connected to their fish market, so everything is very local and very fresh. We always have great service here on top of delicious food. Favorites always include the lobster bisque with actual chunks of lobster. Caesar salad is a must as a side or main. I always go for the local fish special, tonight it was swordfish with crab and it was amazing. Every year we can see the upgrades that Cod and Capers Seafood and Marketplace has made. There is shaded patio dining; however, the mid-eighties are too warm for us. We elect the very pleasant café dining, and we note that Cod and Capers Seafood and Marketplace has added a few tables in the Marketplace section. Travel Tip: Allow time to shop the fresh seafood market place. During our recent trip to Chile, we shopped a number of seafood markets. Cod and Capers Seafood and Marketplace is a bit more classy. I had read some articles about fish and one called tripletail is described as being the top notch fish to try. in looking over restaurants i couldn't find one that had tripletail on the menu. cod & capers has a market and they said they had many hard to find varieties so i went to look. lo and behold their fish market does have tripletail and better yet you can order it in the restaurant and they will prepare it for you for $15 as part of a meal. so i decided to try it. i got tripletail, clam chowder, a salad and asparagus. everything was excellent and the articles on tripletail were right on. this was the best fish i have ever had(and i eat a lot of fish). service was excellent and the prices were very fair for the auantity and quality of their food. i highly recommend this for everyone who would like to try something different in the way of fish. i stopped at the tripletail but they had other varieties as well i would like to try someday read more

First time I came here the food was amazing. We ordered the fish sandwich. The second time I came, they no longer offered the fish sandwich for dinner. I had an ordered a the chilean sea bass. I got to pick the fish from the fish market so I was certain it would be fresh. Mind you I had to pay $15 extra for preparation on top of the cost of the fish so this was a very expensive meal. The fish arrived took a couple bites and it tasted like ammonia, I thought this can't be right. This is a fish market so I took another bite and the stench of ammonia hit me like a ton of bricks. I left the fish and just ate the fries. Silly me I should've said something to the waitress, but the place was really busy and I was embarrassed to tell them the fish was rotten in front of all the patrons. When I went back to my hotel room, I got violently sick that night. I'm so sad I had this experience. Maybe it was just my luck that I got a bad fish but it surprised me that this would be possible from a fish market. Not coming back here again this horrible experience ended up costing me all night sleep as well as a lot of money the dish was over $50. read more

O I purchased the Octopus and Broccoli Rabe/ Beans take out today. Old Rollo Tomassi just cleaned the Hack Saw to cut the Octopus Still looking for the Rabe and Beans. Be Careful....
