    New England roll
    Barry D.

This is a dive bar for locals. It is the neighborhood OG. Seated quickly. Seafood forward menu. If you were fishing, they will cook it & add sides. We got a huge basket of clams & fries and a New England roll that is a mix of shrimp &'lobster. Service was good. The patio was nice.

This local seafood dive bar nails what it's meant to be: laid-back, no-frills, and packed with flavor. The seafood generously portioned. Think crispy fried baskets, well seasoned shrimp and fish. The menu is simple but done well, and everything pairs perfectly with an ice-cold beer or a strong, straightforward cocktail, like the bucket Hurricane. The vibe is casual and welcoming, the kind of place where locals hang out and time kind of disappears. Service is friendly and efficient, even when it's busy. This is the kind of spot you come to when you want a laid back feel with good food, cold drinks, and zero pretension. A neighborhood gem--I'll definitely be back.

Have not been to this location in many years. I found the place to be a bit cleaner. Stopped for lunch on Saturday. The outside was full, as usual. I had Mahi sandwich which was yummy, my friend had fish n' chips, which was yummy too. Service was ok. There is on street parking, and on the side of the building.

I keep waiting to have a bad experience here and it hasn't happened yet... The dive decor is exactly what you'd expect from a place called Hurricane Alley, heck they even have a sign in the bar naming what storms they've survived! Service is friendly, kitchen is fast, food is delicious, and the beer is cold. What more can you ask for? My takeout was ready when they said it would be, they got the order right, and my burger was cooked perfectly

I love coming for the happy hour! Oysters are $15 for a dozen. The fire dusted calamari is very good! Probably my favorite thing on the menu

    All imitation crab "lobster roll'
    Cc O.

I came in because I heard they have good seafood and decided to order a lobster roll simple right? Well when it came out the roll was mostly fake crab I'm lucky if I say I found 2 pieces of lobster! Do not call it a lobster roll if most of it is imitation crab! Terrible! Sorry the manager email me and said it's called a New England shrimp and some lobster peaces but it all imitation crab! Just call it what it is. I don't mind paying more for real seafood! Isn't this place known for seafood ? Just remove that fake crab sandwich out your menu because it really makes you look bad! I don't think any item menu stating with new England has anything to do with imitation crab!!!!

My husband and I came down from West Palm Beach, he had found Hurricane Alley some place online and saw that they had a lot of great seafood that we typically don't see in other places (for example: soft shell crab or rock shrimp). We went on a Saturday around 5:00 pm and it was packed!! It's not a huge place but it had plenty of parking out back, a bar outside upon walking in and a bar inside with seating around the bar (high tops and half booths), as well as off to the side in a separate room (regular tables) and some regular seating out front outside under cover. The hostess told us it would be around a 25 min wait but only ended up being like 10 min it felt like. As an FYI for others that it may concern - it was very loud inside. It must have to do with the ceilings/insulation/etc. It didn't bother us but it was noticeable loud (there was a football game on as well so that may have added to it). Even though it was loud, I could still hear the music playing so it wasn't a big deal at all for us. So one of the main reasons we came, like I mentioned before, was for the rock shrimp. We had never had it before and we've never seen it at a restaurant so we just had to try them - and let me say... I only want to eat rock shrimp for the rest of my life lol!!! They were SO good and cooked perfectly. My husband also ordered the soft shell crab sandwich and he loved it!! Other things we ordered: seafood bisque (delicious!) and fire dusted calamari (also delicious!). We got some sides as part of the calamari and rock shrimp meals, so we picked the coleslaw and pasta salad. Both were very good! Probably the best pasta salad I've had! Then - the dessert! We saw they had a key lime pie on the menu - but when we ordered, she made it clear that it was actually a key lime "cake" so we said, okay why not! WELL!!!!!! I don't like key lime pie that much really (my husband does)... but I LOVED this key lime cake. YUM!!! My husband did say though.. that if you really love key lime pie, you may or may not like the cake. But I don't know about that... it was super yummy! Our server Allison was great! She came over right away, was very attentive, and didn't judge us for all the food we ordered haha! The place was very busy so she was amazing. And also, for how busy it was, all the food came out very fast!! Overall, we had a really great experience there and we can't wait to come back. I'm going to order 10 lbs of rock shrimp LOL!

The inside of the restaurant did not feel particularly clean. However, maybe this is the norm for a fish House dive bar. The food was well fried and crisp but flavorless. Our server was super sweet and kind however they forgot our child's food and my drink and not the very end of the meal asked how everything was going. At this point, we're almost done with the meal and I was sharing with my child. My partner had the mahi-mahi sandwich and he says for the price he would rate it a 4, however, also with his order he asked for it blackened, but they did not bring him a blackened fish. So obviously there's something going on with the logistics at the restaurant that needs a little bit of support and I hope that they find this. The server was very empathetic and apologetic about this and brought me a free fountain drink on the house to take with me. It wasn't the worst of the worst however with so many other restaurants in the area, I don't think we would choose to eat here again.

It's a beautiful day in Boynton Beach. Took a stroll around the neighborhood and stopped in at hurricane alley. I was seated outside by a smiling host and service was fast. The vibe is very chill and casual. I was expecting a very dry fish but my grilled swordfish was juicy and delicious! Will definitely stop in again.

Haven't been here in years, but glad we decided to stop in! The restaurant seems to have gone through a remodel and it's amazing! So much more space. We came in through the back, went up to the hostess and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and inviting. The menu is great with lots of options- highly recommend the fish dip and the escargot!! So good! The Costa Rican Burger is an absolute 10 out of 10!! Definitely a must! Will be coming back sooner rather than later for sure.

This is a fun place to come to if you're looking for some good seafood options. Over the weekend I stopped in with a friend to try out some of their items along with some of their cocktails.. I tried the pirate colada, which is a frozen drink and it was very refreshing: packed with pineapple and a coconut flavor. My friend who was with me ordered the bucket, which is 32 ounces of basically a rum punch. I also ordered the wings platter. And I must say that those wings were delicious, it came with a side of fries, also, very tasty fries along with a few sticks of celery. The atmosphere side is very hustle and bustle. Tables are closely put together, customers are sitting elbow to elbow at the bar, and lots and lots of decorations on the walls on the ceilings throughout the entire restaurant, it's very overwhelming. But it's a nice vibe. It's kind of like a seafood /sports bar. The day we stopped in there was a couple football games going on the TVs. I would definitely come back to this bar. The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed.. there's an available parking lot behind the strip mall where you can park for free, which is great.

    The Tropical Wave
    Melanie B.

Found this place on Yelp and decided to eat here before departing at the airport. We had to drive around a little because they don't have a parking lot. It's your classic neighborhood bar/restaurant with regulars all around. They were kind enough to let us know that their computers were down that afternoon, meaning that things were taking a little longer than it should. The menu was pretty big and there's something for everyone. The food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. I had ordered the Tropical Wave salad which had a gorgeous piece of rare tuna with sprouts on top. SOLD! Our service from Daniella was less than spectacular. I only know her name from my receipt. She acted as though we were bothering her, even though we never even called her over for anything, thus the 4 star review. Regardless, come and eat here if you can.

    Oysters
    Hailey G.

The food here is exquisite. $18 oysters and $15 during happy hour? HAILL YEAH BOIII. If you get a well liquor, they pour it up with liquor. The pic of the drink is a rum and coke!! (More like a rum with a splash of coke!!). The whole experience was great, even though they were very busy, our waiter was awesome. Sat at the bar once and it was the same. Smoked fish dip- also fire! I would recommend going here and ordering several appetizers or during happy hour. Gives a dive bar vibe and a great place to pregame before going down to the ave before getting LIT!!

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

So I can't tell you about the waterfront, the 40-plus years Banana Boat's been serving Boynton, or the rest of the menu, which, for the record, looked legitimate. I'm here for one plate. The Surf & Turf Nacho sounds incredible on the menu. Filet mignon and shrimp. That's how they get you to $21, and I paid it. Here's what showed up. The filet retired its number after only a few appearances. On a $21 surf-and-turf nacho, the turf scored early and then vanished like a witness in a mob movie. The shrimp came in bigger numbers but arrived whole and uncut, and nobody in that kitchen asked the one question that matters: how does a whole shrimp sit on a nacho chip? It doesn't. It sits on top looking decorative while the chip underneath has an identity crisis. And where would this be without mentioning my old nemesis. Beans. They don't belong on nachos. Ever. If you're using them, you're just trying to make the plate bigger. Maybe you need a big lifted truck too. This isn't a surf-and-turf nacho. It's a nice thought. A dish designed to impress on paper, justify a price, and get photographed; Not to really be eaten as a nacho. It was also a small portion overall. I finished it, but that's not the achievement it sounds like. Finishing a $21 nacho because there wasn't much of it is not a win. It's literally the complaint. Credit where it's due, because I'm not here just to swing: * The queso was actually melted. After a long run of unmelted shredded-cheese disasters around here, that matters. * The guacamole was generous and well made. * It arrived hot, eight minutes out. That counts. * The flavor was genuinely decent. Everything present tasted fine. The problem was what was present, and how little of it there was. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. Rectangular plate, whole shrimp, oversized store-bought chips, everything arranged for the camera. This was never getting eaten with your hands, which means it was never really a nacho. Verdict: 5/10 -- The Mirage Nacho. It looked great on the menu. It tasted decent on the plate. It just wasn't a nacho. The flavor is the only thing keeping it out of the basement. Order it if you want a pretty $21 appetizer. Don't order it expecting nachos. -Florida Nacho Man

It's a beautiful setting to enjoy dinner and watch the boats go by. Our waitress wasn't particularly enthusiastic, but after watching the interactions of some of the other servers, it seemed like we may have just had an average experience. The food came out very quickly--almost too quickly. We started with the wings. The flavor was good, and the ingredients were fresh, but they tasted like they had been pre-fried and then refried. I ordered them well done, which made them a little dry. They were still enjoyable, but not my favorite style of preparation. My fiancée ordered the mahi tacos. She liked them overall, but thought the mahi itself was a bit dry. The salad that came with the meal was excellent and probably one of the standout items. I ordered the popcorn shrimp, which ended up being my favorite thing we tried. The spinach dip, unfortunately, was the biggest disappointment. It was one of the blandest spinach dips I've had and really needed more seasoning or flavor. The fries were your standard French fries--nothing special. One thing I will say is that every ingredient tasted very fresh. The restaurant clearly uses quality products. However, many of the dishes felt like they were missing that final touch of seasoning or flavor that ties everything together. Considering the prices, I expected a little more. In terms of taste, I've honestly had more satisfying meals at casual chain restaurants like Duffy's or Buffalo Wild Wings. I also noticed what appeared to be the house manager walking the floor. While appearance isn't everything, first impressions matter in hospitality, and I didn't feel the manager projected the polished, professional presence I'd expect from someone leading the front of house at a restaurant in this price range. Overall, Deck 84 offers a beautiful waterfront location with fresh ingredients, but the food and service didn't quite justify the price for us. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the scenery and have a casual meal, it's worth trying once. However, based on our experience, it isn't somewhere we'd rush back to.
