My husband and I came down from West Palm Beach, he had found Hurricane Alley some place online and saw that they had a lot of great seafood that we typically don't see in other places (for example: soft shell crab or rock shrimp). We went on a Saturday around 5:00 pm and it was packed!! It's not a huge place but it had plenty of parking out back, a bar outside upon walking in and a bar inside with seating around the bar (high tops and half booths), as well as off to the side in a separate room (regular tables) and some regular seating out front outside under cover. The hostess told us it would be around a 25 min wait but only ended up being like 10 min it felt like. As an FYI for others that it may concern - it was very loud inside. It must have to do with the ceilings/insulation/etc. It didn't bother us but it was noticeable loud (there was a football game on as well so that may have added to it). Even though it was loud, I could still hear the music playing so it wasn't a big deal at all for us. So one of the main reasons we came, like I mentioned before, was for the rock shrimp. We had never had it before and we've never seen it at a restaurant so we just had to try them - and let me say... I only want to eat rock shrimp for the rest of my life lol!!! They were SO good and cooked perfectly. My husband also ordered the soft shell crab sandwich and he loved it!! Other things we ordered: seafood bisque (delicious!) and fire dusted calamari (also delicious!). We got some sides as part of the calamari and rock shrimp meals, so we picked the coleslaw and pasta salad. Both were very good! Probably the best pasta salad I've had! Then - the dessert! We saw they had a key lime pie on the menu - but when we ordered, she made it clear that it was actually a key lime "cake" so we said, okay why not! WELL!!!!!! I don't like key lime pie that much really (my husband does)... but I LOVED this key lime cake. YUM!!! My husband did say though.. that if you really love key lime pie, you may or may not like the cake. But I don't know about that... it was super yummy! Our server Allison was great! She came over right away, was very attentive, and didn't judge us for all the food we ordered haha! The place was very busy so she was amazing. And also, for how busy it was, all the food came out very fast!! Overall, we had a really great experience there and we can't wait to come back. I came in because I heard they have good seafood and decided to order a lobster roll simple right? Well when it came out the roll was mostly fake crab I'm lucky if I say I found 2 pieces of lobster! Do not call it a lobster roll if most of it is imitation crab! Terrible! Sorry the manager email me and said it's called a New England shrimp and some lobster peaces but it all imitation crab! Just call it what it is. I don't mind paying more for real seafood! Isn't this place known for seafood ? Just remove that fake crab sandwich out your menu because it really makes you look bad! The inside of the restaurant did not feel particularly clean. However, maybe this is the norm for a fish House dive bar. The food was well fried and crisp but flavorless. Our server was super sweet and kind however they forgot our child's food and my drink and not the very end of the meal asked how everything was going. At this point, we're almost done with the meal and I was sharing with my child. My partner had the mahi-mahi sandwich and he says for the price he would rate it a 4, however, also with his order he asked for it blackened, but they did not bring him a blackened fish. So obviously there's something going on with the logistics at the restaurant that needs a little bit of support and I hope that they find this. The server was very empathetic and apologetic about this and brought me a free fountain drink on the house to take with me. It wasn't the worst of the worst however with so many other restaurants in the area, I don't think we would choose to eat here again. read more

Haven't been here in years, but glad we decided to stop in! The restaurant seems to have gone through a remodel and it's amazing! So much more space. We came in through the back, went up to the hostess and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and inviting. This is a fun place to come to if you're looking for some good seafood options. Over the weekend I stopped in with a friend to try out some of their items along with some of their cocktails.. I tried the pirate colada, which is a frozen drink and it was very refreshing: packed with pineapple and a coconut flavor. My friend who was with me ordered the bucket, which is 32 ounces of basically a rum punch. I also ordered the wings platter. And I must say that those wings were delicious, it came with a side of fries, also, very tasty fries along with a few sticks of celery. The atmosphere side is very hustle and bustle. Found this place on Yelp and decided to eat here before departing at the airport. We had to drive around a little because they don't have a parking lot. It's your classic neighborhood bar/restaurant with regulars all around. They were kind enough to let us know that their computers were down that afternoon, meaning that things were taking a little longer than it should. The menu was pretty big and there's something for everyone. The food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. I had ordered the Tropical Wave salad which had a gorgeous piece of rare tuna with sprouts on top. SOLD! Our service from Daniella was less than spectacular. I only know her name from my receipt. Definitely a lively atmosphere, some of the music was a bit unusual for 5pm Tuesday, more appropriate for 11pm Friday night but whatever no problem. This place has been around forever, and definitely has a lot of regulars so I thought let's give it a shot. The staff were warm and friendly from the time we arrived. The waiter we had was nice, but at the same time it felt like he was rushing us to order and same for drinks. We started by ordering the clams casino they weren't terrible, but I've never had clams casino like this before. They had a ton of onion and peppers so if you're not a fan of that then don't order these. For the entrees we ordered a bacon cheeseburger and hot garlic wings. The wings were good and had good flavor I just wish they were a bit more crispy. The bacon cheeseburger was solid I can't say much more than that. Such a fun south Florida vibe! Hostess was very sweet, sat us right away. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered peel and eat shrimp cold (spicy) and it was great. I really like this place. I have been coming for several years. I was recently here with two of my old coworkers for lunch on a Saturday. It was a beautiful day out so we decided to sit outside. This a dog friendly restaurant, so I did enjoy seeing the few that were there. Our waitress was very friendly. I opted for the roast beef sandwich on rye. I love how stuffed the sandwich is and that the meat was rare. The bread also is always doe fresh. My coworkers both got the fish sandwich little blackened. We all really enjoyed our lunch. The food in general is a 4, but the raw oysters on the half-shelf were exceptional! Really some of the best I've had in town, so that for me pushes the rating to a 5. Were originally were just going to order 6, but then the waiter reminded us about their happy hour specials. We upgraded to 12 oysters, and boy are we glad we did! We always sit outdoors, for the fresh air but also, indoors can be really loud, especially on the bar side of the restaurant. Our waiter was especially knowledgable and engaging, and people were regularly coming by to check on us to see if we needed drink refills or anything else. If the front patio is full, note that they have tiki hut seating behind the restaurant, so that's a good alternative--and offers a different dining experience. Ok, on a positive note, the service was extremely fast. But if you're coming for fine cuisine you're going to be disappointed. We came cuz my husband was jonesing for a lobster roll and this place came up in my search. He prefers hot but settled for cold. The problem is it's mostly shrimp, chopped celery and tomatoes, so not really a legit lobster roll. The seafood bisque was ok, but there were some unidentifiable clumps of something in there. Dough? I just don't know. I had the tiki tuna. The dish is terrifyingly huge. The tuna was tasty, but it's nestled in like a pound or two of oily and overly sweet seaweed salad, which was drizzled with wasabi aioli. And for some strange reason, it came with mini pitas. Had a blast there yesterday with my girlfriend during Pirates fest weekend. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager Christy who was really sweet and fun. It was fun seeing everyone dressed up as pirates and wenches and witches and everything else and everyone looked so authentic! Bought a couple of hurricane Alley new shirts with the cool new logo. While not my first time here, I wanted to do a review. I needed to scratch a fried clams itch, so a Yelp search lead me here. The lunch crowd was lively, many locals, but friendly. Service was fast and very accommodating, with frequent checks on how I was doing. The fried clam platter came with fries, slaw, and a nicely seasoned tartar sauce. Clams were not chewy or soggy with a nice mild crunch and a mild clam taste. Just what I was seeking. The itch was properly scratched. Will be back. read more

Awesome, chill vibes. Very much a keys feel. Don't be in a rush if you go here, because they're not in a rush. I get the fish dip every time I go, it's the best I've had in south Florida that wasn't homemade. I usually get some oysters too, they're usually on point. Sometimes the horseradish is a little weak, but their cocktail sauce has a great flavor. Cleverly named sandwiches are solid, but I'm all about the Costa Rican burger with a perfectly runny fried egg dripping down my cheeseburger, and don't forget that slice of ham. Cruising down Old Ocean Drive on a Sunday afternoon we spontaneously made a left onto East Ocean Avenue and discovered this cozy surf and turf raw bar hotspot. The bar was full so we sat in a comfortable booth for two next to the happy, casual customers. Our outstanding server, the divine Dante, made superb menu recommendations and was an absolute delight. The hands-on manager, Christy, was right there to cater to us, and everyone, as well, and was extremely hospitable. Her conversation and genuine kindness is rare. We thought she was the proprietor because she handled all with great care and attention. Vacation for this crew begins tomorrow, but we will return on September 3rd when they reopen for business. Or perhaps, we will relocate to Boynton Beach to reside closer to this gem with a jukebox. Oh and PS: about the food; we devoured four-dozen of the freshest raw oysters we have ever had since living in South Florida the past 10 years; enjoyed a huge homemade albacore tuna sandwich (NYC Delicious); my husband's savory pulled pork Sloppy Joe-Style was, according to him, "have not had one that good since I was a kid", (he's a Southern gentleman); these sandwiches reminded us of our respective childhoods, (and that's a good thing lol) Go, Baby, Go! read more

Family brought us here when we were in town visiting. They don't take reservations so we put our names in and waited. There is no good place to wait and they don't have a system to call or text you when you're name is called. You have to be in proximity to hear your name, which is along a very busy street. The quality of fish was awful. It was very fishy and old. Not crusted or charred on the outside and raw in the middle but more like lightly broiled outside just to turn it grey. Had no flavor except fishy. It was a house salad with a piece of tuna but billed as a great tropical salad. blah. My family member ordered the mahi mahi sandwich with no bun and said of cesaer salad. Mahi Mahi was dry and flavorless. Couple margaritas were ordered were $10 each. We ended up splitting the bill three ways since we were all sampling each others plates.
