Great little bbq and home-cookin' spot at the local KOA in Canton, TX. Wonderful alternative for the community. They also do catering, with many different options. Never have a bad experience. You can tell it's a passion here. They also have a brewery, with some great options for beer. Sits on the site of an event space with RV, cabins and a great barn for any function you might have. Really enjoyed this restaurant on our recent visit to Canton. All six in our party had great meals. The sliced beef was very good as were the sides. The ribs are good as well. Service was a bit slow due to many customers. All in all a good stop for us. We will eat here again. read more

We were looking for some Texas BBQ before we left Texas. Let me tell you,...we could smell the deliciousness as soon as we parked in the parking lot. The staff was great! The food was great! A surprisingly great restaurant that's located in an HOA campground called Silver Spur RV Park. The fried pickle spears were awesome! Kayla, our waitress was the sweetest thing! We shared the Cowgirl tacos which are lettuce wrapped! No way ! what a fabulous healthy idea. We got (2) pulled pork and (2) brisket. Next time I'd order them without the pico as they were kinda spicy. Came back the next day for brisket chili. Mm mm good! We asked for some extra red onion on top. It's a huge bowl! Came here because of Yelp reviews. The brisket was really fatty. I had the 1 meat dinner and the wife chopped sandwich. The sandwich was probably 40% fat. My brisket was 20% fatty. They have a staffing issue. It took us 1 hour to get two orders in house. The biscuit was hard and cold by the time we got out as was all the food. Even the beans were cold. The inside is very nice. It is located at the entrance to the local KOA park on the edge of Canton. If your in hurry do not go on trade days. Heard several folks leaving about the wait time. You can pay at the table via internet. It was not as good as our local BBQ place at home. The meat left a bad taste in our mouth after about 30 minutes. So, date night - we ended up going to Yesterland because I love pumpkins, and fall. We just moved out to forney and we're looking for something fun to do. We, last minute decided to google restaurants near us and found this hidden gem. Even though.....it's not really hidden. This restaurant did NOT disappoint. We got there and requested to sit outside - their team immediately cleaned off a table outside and allowed us to sit there. Initially we got a high top but I'm pregnant and my back was hurting ....so then we requested to sit in a lower table and they accommodated that too !! The service was fast and the food was great !!! The brisket was delicious and tender - the okra was flavored to perfect. The beans and cornbread you get when you sit down is AMAZING!!!! We are coming back to eat here the end of October !!! My husband and I decided to try this place on our visit to Trade Days. The ambiance is super cute. We were very disappointed in the cornbread they bring out before your meal however the beans were SUPERB! My husband ordered the 2 meat plate and the brisket and pulled pork tasted like they were day old and were very dry. I had the half order of chicken with Mac and cheese and I loved all of mine! So not sure we would go back and it could have been due to the shortage of waitstaff. They did post a note on the door letting patrons know. read more

Good BBQ sliced beef with decent smoke penetration. The sausage was very good. I had green beans and okra as my sides. The green beans had lots of bacon bits on it and a good garlic and butter flavor to boot. The okra was nice crisp and crunchy, not oily or greasy at all. Overall a good meal at a reasonable price. I also happen to love craft beer so I had a glass of their Belgian Quad and Belgian Triple, both were very good. Delicious! I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries. The bun was soft and golden with tender brisket inside. Yum! We had the fried pickles. I thought they were great But some in my group did not care for the spears. The fried okra is also perfection. We had 9 people and everyone loved what they ordered. This place is located just north of I-20 and Canton in the KOA campgrounds. It's a nice place with some outdoor seating. We had the sliced brisket which was OK... A little dry however. The chopped brisket was much better. We also had the stuffed jalapeños which were a little cold on the inside. Overall, pretty good. read more

We stopped for lunch at The Q & Brew before heading to the flea market and it was worth the visit! My kids were entertained the entire time with ducks outside, a hidden scavenger hunt with a prize inside and food they actually ate! I enjoyed a crisp white wine with my awesome bbq and my husband enjoyed his plate of meat with all the fixings and a refreshing soda! The staff was all very friendly. Walked in and no one was at the front to seat folks, then having time for one of us to go to the bathroom, someone came and quickly sat us and headed away.....we were not ask what drink and who our server would be or how long it would be to receive service. For the next 5 mins I watched the waitress clean a table, chat in back, tell two tables "it would be about 20 mins," then refill drinks at three tables without once saying anything to us about delays. So at first we were a little put off that it was inside of a campground. But, wow. This place is awesome. You must try it. I had the 2 meat tray brisket and sausage with potato salad and coleslaw. They are off to a great start. I went to their soft opening and brew tasting several months ago and beer was great!! Also went last night since they are officially opened now. They have guest beers on tap right now and giving free samples of their Tripel beer which is really good. My boyfriend and I stayed one night in the cozy cottage cabin and it was amazing. The cabin was very spacious and was very clean. The experience as a whole was amazing and we ordered food from the q and brew and they delivered it to our cabin. The food was amazing. The barbecue is to die for and we will definitely be back to spend another night at the cabins right there at the resort and also visit the q and brew just for dinner because the kettle chips, queso, salsa, and everything else was to die for. read more

On arrival the friendly staff seat you and bring you a little bowl of beans and corn bread for a starter completely free. Both of them were delicious. We were just passing by to check this place out so we only order two appetizers which were the cowboy stuffers and the tumbleweed. The cowboy stuffers were fried jalapeños stuffed with cheese and brisket. The tumbleweed was a Fried blooming onion with shredded brisket and cheese with a dipping sauce. Both of them were a five out of five! They were both absolutely delicious cooked and flavored to perfection! The only thing I was disappointed in was the beer selection. I was really excited to stop and check this place out because hence it was a brewery and I love beer. I enjoy hoppy beer so I was disappointed to find out they only had one IPA on their menu and when I ordered it I was even more heartbroken that they did not have any on tap, I was told they were out. I did take a quick drive around the resort to check it out and it was very clean and well-maintained.
