Went there during Legend of Zelda night with some friends last Thursday. Was not expecting to have a good time as I am really bad at arcade games, but the Quarters was surprisingly fun. We arrived there around 7:30 to find the place already pretty busy. I had ordered a pulled pork slider and a ginger beer to start, and the bartender was really attentive and remembered my name from when he checked my ID. The food was pretty tasty and well sized for the price. If you drink anything other than water or beer though, it's easy to end up spending a lot of money. That being said, some of the cocktails sounded really delicious but I wasn't sure I was willing to spend so much money on a cocktail in addition to food and games. There's a machine near the entrance that changes cash into quarters, so bring smaller bills so you don't end up carrying $20 worth of quarters around. There are little condiment containers on top of the machine to carry your coins. I haven't been to an arcade in a long time, so I tried many different games and had a good time. Next time, I'll probably come on a Tuesday where they have unlimited games for $5. After playing, I ordered some more food - a kimchi pup and fries - and closed my tab. A solid two hours and some tens of people after I first ordered, the bartender still remembered my name! Solid 10/10 in service. The fries were also good but the kimchi pup tasted a little like fermented baby food on a bland hot dog. Still, the prices are cheap enough ($4 - $9) to warrant trying other things another time. I usually go the same restaurants over and over because I know what to expect. However, when I saw that Phantom Gourmet did an interview with the establishment, I had to go and check it out. I have always been a fan of the classic gaming era, and couldn't wait to go and experience the barcade for all it had to offer. Due to my diet restrictions I wasn't able to eat much on the menu, but could enjoy a hotdog without the bun. They were nice to indulge in, but weren't anything that would bring me back for more. My real focus was on the games, and experiencing the atmosphere of the establishment. A big plus was that we dined on a themed Zelda night, and were able to experience The Quarters in a unique manner for our first time. If you are a lover of classic-era games like Pacman, Burgertime, and Tetris, you are in for a real treat. It was great to be able to unwind and play the games you don't see around very often anymore. The service to get food/drink were streamline at first, but when the crowds began to make their way in, it became a hassle to stay. I would suggest to future patrons that they should go during a week night if they want to experience the games more, and on a weekend if they want to enjoy the people The Quarters markets too. Tried out this place with a group of friends on a Wednesday night. It was Zelda themed that night and I wish we had known before going because it was super crowded but overall had an awesome experience! I loved all the games I tried out and the fact that it was only 25 cents per game was great for us because we are all on college budgets. My favorite games were Space Invader and Burgertime. The drinks I had (both zelda themed- green potion and fairy in a bottle) were awesome and price wise were reasonable. I also got a mac pup (mac and cheese hot dog) which was good but rather small. I also had some of my friends fries which were amazing! Super crispy and the perfect amount of salt. All the food here is on the smaller side but is reflected in the prices so if I went back I would order more or eat before I arrive. If you are looking for somewhere to go to play awesome classic games, have good drinks and eat a small bite I would definitely recommend this place! This concept works on so many levels and for so many ages (under 21 is allowed, they just get an X on their hand so they aren't served alcohol). read more

This place is awesome. Great idea, the food is delicious and creative. The drinks are a little over priced but under poured and the female bartender seems like she's not too attentive and at times seemed irritated she had to work and under trained to be a bartender. It's fun to be able to take a date out that isn't your regular movie and dinner night and re living my childhood playing video games you can't find anymore so that's an absolute plus. Some other "cons" would be that it seems like there's always broken or "out of service" video games that don't seem to get fixed. I like this place a lot because it's different but if they don't change these few things it's gonna be harder and harder to get me back in. Took my two kids to the quarters after school one evening. Went outside with them afterwards and looped back through the gate to get to our car. Didn't appreciate the two neo-nazi kitchen staff members (we'll call them dumb beard and tattoo scum) complaining about blacks, women, and liberals. Their vocabulary was so offensive that my daughter asked me what many of the words meant in the car. As a black man, I don't see this behavior much in the valley- perhaps the owners would like to practice some vetting. In my few visits, I've never seen a manager present. The bar staff are great otherwise. Won't be back until I get a reply here saying these two scumbags are no longer employed. Recommending the same to my friends. read more

A bar experience like no other, The Quarters is a blend of 80's and 90's nostalgia augmented with modern trends of craft beers and more. Arcade machines dominate the walls, while memorabilia decorate the area above them. I went during a theme night, (Zelda Night), which meant specialty cocktails, special menu items, Zelda music and even a projection on the western wall of an old Zelda cartoon. Food portions are small and portable, suitable for bring with you to the small tables next to every arcade machine. Drinks are also placed in mobile jar like classes. The draft beer selection is excellent, boasting 10 varieties as well as 2 draft cider. Truly, I cannot recommend going to this bar enough! read more

This restaurant is racist. I was refused service today for not being American. As a Native American I'd like to state I am more American than the racist bar tenders at this establishment. I was asked for ID and used a government issued piece of identification which allows me to cross the Canada and USA boarder and proved the ID was legitimate with several other pieces of identification. The racist staff refused to honour my ID and said they wouldn't be serving me "because I was not an American." Get the $&#% out. This restaurant should be closed. read more

It's dark and dreary in there. Games are ok, but crowded together, everything feels crowded in there. Kid friendly on Sat mornings, but it needs a bigger space. The cartoons on Saturday mornings aren't really watchable because you can't even hear it over all the games and talking. my kids really like the unlimited cereal part of it! I would recommend it at least to try it out. read more

the quarters is a cool place to go if you want to bring out the kid in you. their apps are awesome and very tasty. they have beer on the tap and is very refreshing. the atmosphere is cool and their is a great selection of games. check it out! read more
