The firepit is nice but a bit situated high to sit around and stay warm at night. Make sure to put parking pass on display on the dashboard to not get towed. Convenient to walk to most places around the area from the hotel - restaurants, mini-golf, shopping areas, the pier, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

A person who cannot stand at all cannot transfer onto one of these inside a tub. Secondly, the room that they provided me for my stay had the bathroom so small that the only way a wheelchair user can access the tub was to sit on the bench facing the back of the tub. There was no way to get on the shower bench and face forward in the tub. Therefore, I needed help to access the water controls for the shower.

The location is convenient and feels like part of our ritual now. The staff are almost uniformly kind and welcoming to our kids and us. They remember us, greet us cheerfully and make this feel like a home base. The outdoor hot tub was a particularly welcome amenity on this past brutally cold weekend and it helped us warm up a chill that seemed to go straight to our bones after time outside on the lake. It really is one of those few places that feels like a welcome retreat no matter the weather. If there weren't any flaws, this would be a much easier review to write. But there are flaws, and they are things that should have been tended to long ago. The rooms have definitely seen better days. Many of our dresser drawers barely opened. The refrigerator was hardly cool. Furniture had visible damage and some of the electrical outlets were non-functional or battered to the points that plugs fell right out f them. These are not deal breaking in isolation but taken together they left us feeling that the room was tired and poorly maintained. A little thoughtful maintenance or investment here could go a long way and make the rooms feel a lot more comfortable. Another disappointment this year was the breakfast buffet at TRs Restaurant. In years past it was a highlight and something our kids looked forward to to prepare for a cold morning out. This visit, the quality seemed to have declined and the selection felt smaller. The restaurant itself still has a lovely lake view and a cozy fireplace, and the service was still friendly and attentive, but the breakfast spread did not live up to our memories. So I find myself landing on a three star rating. If you take this place for what it can still be, it is a wonderful family resort with great staff and some truly nice amenities. But right now the condition of the rooms and some of the public areas combined with the breakfast experience hold it back from being the much stronger destination I know it can be. Here is hoping that ownership puts some money back into the property so it can recapture its full potential.

By the time the Super Bowl rolls around, it feels less like a trip and more like a reunion. The first week of Winter Carnival just makes it better. The ice bar, great food and drinks, the energy around the resort and town it all sets the tone for an unforgettable winter weekend. A huge part of why this works year after year is the people who make the place feel like home. Courtney, the general manager, keeps everything running smoothly and consistently she sets the standard. Tyler and Nicole at the bar are always a big part of the weekend, and Becca and Tonya at the front desk make arrivals feel easy and welcoming every single time. Even in the heart of winter, the place is always spotless thanks to Keisha and her housekeeping crew something we appreciate more than most people realize. Sixteen straight Super Bowl weekends, countless memories, and friendships that keep growing. Some traditions just stick because they're done right. Boyfriend had no idea where to stay, and it was my first time going to Lake George so I didn't know either; I chose this place mainly because I like using the Hilton app to book... super convenient - you can choose your room the day before (we prefer the top floor) and if you request the digital key, you will receive a message though the app when your room is ready - and you can go up directly without checking in at the front desk (room unlocks with your phone). We booked the most basic king room. It was clean, bed was comfortable, big flat screen tv and all the usual Hilton amenities. Bathroom had a beautiful shower. The hotel is obviously an older one that was renovated, but it was very nicely done. The lobby is gorgeous. I *loved* the lobby bar area, the stone fireplace and the outside backyard with Adirondack chairs, and even a fire pit and a bbq. I would have spent a while there if the weather had been less misty! Usual Hilton breakfast in the lobby, we didn't take part. It looked similar to the one at Littleton NH's Hampton Inn, but with a bit less options. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! When we checked in we were told that they clean the rooms every other day when you are there multiple days. If we needed cleaning more often, just to ask. Went into the room and saw that the HVAC wood vents on the doors were called in dust. Ok, so they forgot to clean it. A few minutes later I was shown a dirty rag left on the Butlers Pantry sink. Then I was down some hairs were left on the shower so it wasn't cleaned well. Three strikes so a call to the desk to complain. Normally wouldn't complain but these just added up. They offered to move us to another room on a different floor, but same style room. Opted to stay since by then we had already "moved in" by unpacking. They said they would market it a point to do a cleaning the next day. So-Fi for our electronic items was ok. But Ib think the television was on Wi-Fi and it would cut out every few minutes, causing the screen to freeze and blur. This was on all the channels so it was annoying when trying to watch the news, a show, or a movie. Water pressure in the shower was OK. Would have liked it to be more stronger but it worked. Breakfast was good. Our first morning there we were surprised that they had scrambled eggs. Second day the familiar half circle omelets with cheese were back along with bacon. No complaints as it was all good. Did look for apple juice and not sure if they had milk there to drink. Plenty of coffee though.

This place was great…read more You are right on the lake, a 5 min walk from town, they have a nice swimming pool overlooking the water, have ample spaces to sunbath, lounge by the pool or lake, have complimentary kayaking & nightly special activities for the guests. They have 3 grills on the water for cooking. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, 4 pillows to each, & decent water pressure. The staff from front desk to house keeping & pool/kayak attendants were all lovely. Fresh towels provided daily and additional towels provided by the pool. What more can you ask for?
