Cozy secluded cabins by babbling brook

This is our eighth year coming up here. Very relaxing getaway from our busy lives. Scenic and rustic cabins. Clean pool. Very nice new owners. Great for families or a couple getaway. Close to all.

Wonderful place to go. The motel rooms are nice and have a brook running right behind it. You'll always hear the brook running and can look at it/take pictures at your own time. They provide you with an outside kitchen, board games, BBQ stands, swimming area, and sufficient parking. If you pay a bit more, you can also get a "mini house" which looks more home-like and doesn't share walls with the other rooms. I would definitely stay here again if I revisit Lake George. What I like is that this motel is a block or two away from the crowd of motels on the same street; this means that you'll have a quiet place to stay while still having the benefits of a reasonably-priced and conveniently situated motel. It's two minutes from the Lake George Village, and just off the highway that takes you there. The staff is friendly and willing to help you find great things to do around the area as well. We got to meet the owner as we were checking out. He is very friendly, and called us a little bit later to tell us we left something back in our room. Coffee is out in the mornings and there are a lot of brochures at the office. Remember to bring your toiletries and have fun!

    Moldy air conditioner

Currently staying here but leaving a day early. Reason being the place smells like urine so bad. Room was not clean - brought our own cleaning products to clean thankfully. So many dead bugs behind dresser and bed side table. Bathroom filthy and reeks of piss, shower is dingy, as well as the room it's self is super outdated. If you're getting a room with kitchenette please bring your own things the pans and silverware are absolutely disgusting. Only gave it one star because there wasn't anything left. Being non smokers we enjoyed the smell from our neighbors smoke coming in our windows to counteract the smell of piss. Air conditioner was moldy.

Do not stay here they have bed bugs and management says their property is clean and their staff is trained to check mattress and furniture for evidence of bed bugs. Room #11 is infested so be aware. Management in inadequate, no people skills.

Great lil cabin by brook was perfect!

The room had two king beds, a small miracle for a man accustomed to one, and the soundproofing was a triumph of human engineering. Even with Oktoberfest raging below, once the balcony door was closed the silence was so complete that I could almost hear my own thoughts apologizing for existing. The hotel sits right on Canada Street, which is the main artery of Lake George's little heart. Shepard Park is practically across the street, full of families, music, and the particular chaos of people on vacation trying to have a perfect time. The staff managed to stay cheerful through it all, smiling with the kind of sincerity that must come from good training or good souls. Parking was a game of Tetris, but I was grateful for the garage. Once my car was wedged in, I had no reason to drive again. Everything that mattered was within walking distance. The rooftop terrace deserves a poem, though I am too lazy to write one. The lake spread out below, blue and calm, and for a few minutes I believed in peace on earth. There is no hot tub, which feels like a crime against nature. The patio outside the pool almost begs for one. Imagine sitting there in January, snow falling into the water, steam rising like forgiveness. The restaurant did not thrill me, and the prices made my wallet flinch. Still, it was a fine stay, the kind that makes you feel momentarily better about the human race before the bill arrives to remind you of reality. Four stars. A lovely place, too expensive for what it is, but worth remembering all the same.

We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, it was very spacious and clean. There was only two draws to put our clothes so we each only got one. The shower was big, but the water pressure wasn't great. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would recommend staying here. Also there is a roof top which is very nice and has a view of the lack and mountais. You definitely need to check it out.

We attend the yearly Tiki event across the road, and this was a 5-minute walk for us. The Tiki is ok, but very loud when the event is going on which makes it difficult to sleep until things end around 1am. Most of the workers at the Holiday Inn were friendly and helpful. Only one seemed to be sleepwalking at the front desk and never did send extra coffee pods to our room when we asked. So, I ended up walking down to the lobby to get coffee each morning (which honestly tasted way better anyway). We've already made our reservations here for next year.

We have been coming every winter for the past six years and have made some terrific memories here…read more There is so much I genuinely like about this place. The location is convenient and feels like part of our ritual now. The staff are almost uniformly kind and welcoming to our kids and us. They remember us, greet us cheerfully and make this feel like a home base. The outdoor hot tub was a particularly welcome amenity on this past brutally cold weekend and it helped us warm up a chill that seemed to go straight to our bones after time outside on the lake. It really is one of those few places that feels like a welcome retreat no matter the weather. If there weren't any flaws, this would be a much easier review to write. But there are flaws, and they are things that should have been tended to long ago. The rooms have definitely seen better days. Many of our dresser drawers barely opened. The refrigerator was hardly cool. Furniture had visible damage and some of the electrical outlets were non-functional or battered to the points that plugs fell right out f them. These are not deal breaking in isolation but taken together they left us feeling that the room was tired and poorly maintained. A little thoughtful maintenance or investment here could go a long way and make the rooms feel a lot more comfortable. Another disappointment this year was the breakfast buffet at TRs Restaurant. In years past it was a highlight and something our kids looked forward to to prepare for a cold morning out. This visit, the quality seemed to have declined and the selection felt smaller. The restaurant itself still has a lovely lake view and a cozy fireplace, and the service was still friendly and attentive, but the breakfast spread did not live up to our memories. So I find myself landing on a three star rating. If you take this place for what it can still be, it is a wonderful family resort with great staff and some truly nice amenities. But right now the condition of the rooms and some of the public areas combined with the breakfast experience hold it back from being the much stronger destination I know it can be. Here is hoping that ownership puts some money back into the property so it can recapture its full potential.

Boyfriend had no idea where to stay, and it was my first time going to Lake George so I didn't know either; I chose this place mainly because I like using the Hilton app to book... super convenient - you can choose your room the day before (we prefer the top floor) and if you request the digital key, you will receive a message though the app when your room is ready - and you can go up directly without checking in at the front desk (room unlocks with your phone). We booked the most basic king room. It was clean, bed was comfortable, big flat screen tv and all the usual Hilton amenities. Bathroom had a beautiful shower. The hotel is obviously an older one that was renovated, but it was very nicely done. The lobby is gorgeous. I *loved* the lobby bar area, the stone fireplace and the outside backyard with Adirondack chairs, and even a fire pit and a bbq. I would have spent a while there if the weather had been less misty! Usual Hilton breakfast in the lobby, we didn't take part. It looked similar to the one at Littleton NH's Hampton Inn, but with a bit less options. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! Very happy with our short stay here and we will absolutely be back!

When we checked in we were told that they clean the rooms every other day when you are there multiple days. If we needed cleaning more often, just to ask. Went into the room and saw that the HVAC wood vents on the doors were called in dust. Ok, so they forgot to clean it. A few minutes later I was shown a dirty rag left on the Butlers Pantry sink. Then I was down some hairs were left on the shower so it wasn't cleaned well. Three strikes so a call to the desk to complain. Normally wouldn't complain but these just added up. They offered to move us to another room on a different floor, but same style room. Opted to stay since by then we had already "moved in" by unpacking. They said they would market it a point to do a cleaning the next day. So-Fi for our electronic items was ok. But Ib think the television was on Wi-Fi and it would cut out every few minutes, causing the screen to freeze and blur. This was on all the channels so it was annoying when trying to watch the news, a show, or a movie. Water pressure in the shower was OK. Would have liked it to be more stronger but it worked. Breakfast was good. Our first morning there we were surprised that they had scrambled eggs. Second day the familiar half circle omelets with cheese were back along with bacon. No complaints as it was all good. Did look for apple juice and not sure if they had milk there to drink. Plenty of coffee though.

My husband and I got married at the Inn at Erlowest on June 28, 2019. If you are searching Yelp for…read morethe perfect Lake George wedding venue, keep reading! I have nothing but rave reviews to share about the staff, the organization of wedding details, the incredibly seamless communication to vendors, the delicious food, the comfort of the rooms, and the breathtaking views of the mountains and lake! From the day that we called and scheduled a venue tour as a newly engaged couple to the moment I was walking down the aisle, I have had only positive experiences working with the staff at the Erlowest. We booked the venue a little over a year out from our wedding date, so it is best to lock in a date as soon as possible. From there, we received printed and digital copies of various packages, enhancements, lodging options, suggested vendors, and contact information. We got to book a complimentary tasting session and got beautiful small portions of various options for our several courses to be served at our wedding. The chef at the Erlowest is a flavor genius. It was difficult to narrow down options when everything is absolutely one of the best bites I've ever had. Our wedding coordinator Liz seriously made sure we were taken care of from the moment she began working with us. She impressed me with her professional and prompt communication, personalized suggestions for our reception, and how she made sure we were comfortable and happy on our wedding day. The other staff at the Erlowest took such good care of us and our 100 guests from the night of the rehearsal until the morning after the wedding when they held onto our wedding cake top tier because we forgot it! They even held onto our ceremony flowers until we had time to come scoop them up later in the weekend. I have never received such pleasant service, and it was greatly appreciated on such a special weekend. The Inn at Erlowest itself is worthy of five stars just due to the impressive structure and history of the castle. We stayed in the Montcalm Room and had a large and comfortable king size bed, a jacuzzi, and a private balcony with a breathtaking view of Lake George. I recommend this room to those interested in a special and intimate experience. Wait until you try the sweets they leave after turn down service! It made the experience feel much more personal and was genuinely appreciated. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 was the atmosphere. The music outside was quite loud, which made it harder to fully relax and enjoy the meal. But when it comes to the food itself, especially that filet, absolutely excellent.
