I am more than happy to write this review. We decided to install gutters before the arrival of the big storms predicted for our area. Andy came out on time to give his estimate. He listened carefully to our needs and concerns. He designed the gutters to our specifications and we received the estimate that same day. Our installation appointment was within 2 weeks of the estimate. The two installers were very professional, and installed the gutters beautifully. They installed the back downspouts along our existing patio posts which made for an attractive seamless design. The rain came the next day, and the gutters worked beautifully. I had an appointment for Wednesday June 28th for Ernis to come out to give me a estimate. He called me to ask if he could change the estimate date to the 29th which I agreed to as that was no big deal. Ernis called to say he would be 15-20 minutes late. He showed up 40 minutes late and his demeanor was very cold and off-putting and he struck me as a kind of person you don't want making initial contact with customers or clients. We started the process of going around the house so he could see the gutter locations. I have a patio cover that I have requested a gutter be placed on the back side of and three prior estimators said they could do it with "no problem, would be no issue at all" but with Ernis he immediately said they wouldn't be able to do it that it was a handyman project. I told him then there was no point in us continuing with the estimate as others have said they would be able to do it and if he can't then we are done. He went out to his car but then came back saying that he could have it done on the side but it wouldn't be covered under warranty and it wouldn't be Rain Gutter Specialists approved to which I said no thank you and sent him on his way. After an initial hiccup in getting an estimate the owner Guy Ziv came out to my home to look at the situation and although he knew it would cost him getting my business he gave me advice that ended up saving me a substantial amount of money with someone else. If not for the difference in price I would definitely consider giving Guy my business as I would trust him for his ethics and integrity. read more

I wont bore you with the other companies I got estimates with, this is the ONLY company that responded to my Yelp request. They sent Guy to give me an estimate, he looked the job over and gave me an estimate that was fair, even upgraded me without me asking to a gutter that blends with the house and you cant even tell they exist because they blend so well. This is what he does, no upsell and by the time I gave him a deposit the job was done in 24 hours. The installers were professional and on point and arrived at the time that was scheduled. Very happy with this company and can recommend them with no hesitation. AND I usually dont recommend contractors unless I am fully satisfied. We had moved into an older home a year ago and had some pretty janky gutters that needed to be replaced. I looked around for many gutter specialists but was most WOW'd by all of the stellar 5 star reviews on 'The Rain Gutter Specialists' Yelp page. Called to schedule an estimate and secured a date two days later with Johnny. He was prompt, on-time, good-natured and extremely knowledgeable regarding what our gutter project might entail. But he never once tried to upsell me or push me toward more expensive gutter styles. After conferring on our options, we texted and had the owner, Guy, reply right away. In fact, he popped over within the hour to look at our added areas of interest. He rejiggered our estimate based on our needs and we moved forward in booking them. They're in much demand so they booked us a date a couple weeks later. Not a problem for us. They contacted us a few days later to say they had a cancellation and would we like for them to start the following day. Well, since I work from home, that was welcomed! Arturo was a lovely gentleman who showed-up on install day with a co-worker whose name I didn't get. We walked around the property and I reaffirmed the areas he'd be working on. They got right to work and I'd have to say within a couple hours, they were all done and every scrap of material was cleaned-up and hauled away. We did another quick walk-through together to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Arturo and pal did a fantastic job and man, WHAT a difference some new gutters and downspouts make just in appearance alone! Can't wait to test them out once the silicone dries and/or when the next rains come. For the record, we switched from an older, traditional style of gutter w/ corregated downspouts, to the newer, sturdier aluminum Flat Face style in a 'musket' color w/ rounded downspouts. It really looks great and they're hung MUCH more professionally than what existed before. Thanks for everything, Johnny, Guy & Arturo! The woman answering, Beverly, was overwhelmed after I called the second day back, was curt & did not answer any questions other than unless it was new install they could not help me. ***Follow up the owner himself, called me within 10 minutes of my initial review, which was one star he was so professional and helpful and apologized for the misunderstanding because Beverly was overwhelmed. They normally receive 50 calls a day but since the over the weekend rain was receiving 200! His professional demeanor and helpfulness in helping me get a local person was appreciated. He also provided his personal cell phone in case I had issues. If he had answered the phone instead of his stressed out gal, he would've been a five star! I hired for 2 projects. Process for estimate was all via email. Which is convenient for both of us- but some changes had to be made on site by the installer because the elevations aren't obvious. It was sometimes a little difficult to talk to the estimator as they are sometimes in/out of the office. Office Denise and Beverly were always on point. Andrea scheduled efficiently. When I received the estimate, he was honest with me, showed me the materials, gave me a quote right away, and discussed tough spots of my house with me while he was there. I will share my story. I am not angry but disappointed. Last year I hired this company for new gutters. They recommend a sheet metal person because they said certain work needed to be completed before they can work. I paid $1,000 for the sheetmetal worker who ended up ripping out my downspout after I said not to. He would not refund me. BEWARE if they recommend additional work as they did with me. Guy the owner offered to pay for the downspout. Thank you Guy. During this entire issue their manager was very rude and at one point said it was between me and the sheet metal guy "they" recommended. The rudeness was terrible so I canceled the order. I was so frustrated I never replaced my gutters last year. Fast forward to now. I decided to give them another chance and give them my business. They just refused saying "we are not a good fit for you". Yes, they can refuse business of course, but when you face the issues that I did costing me $1000 before the actual work is even done, what would you do? You are out $1000. So you will be angry and have hesitation. A business should be careful who they recommend to their customers. Now I am willing to give them another chance they declined my request. No worries. Lots of gutter companies out there, but this should not have happened in the first place. Again, I spent $1000 and still no gutters and willing to trust you again Guy. Guy- this is very disappointing yet again. I will get my gutters completed from another company but wanted to share my experience. Guy, I see you respond to posts. Interested in your feedback why you refused my business? Was I a troubled customer to you? Was I a complainer? I did spend $1000 of pre-work.
