The bartender recommend the Peruvian style wings, they were great, came out steamy hot! The green sauce was missing something but it had heat and I ended up mixing it with their ranch.

Asian inspired Reuben was different, but delicious.

Great place to stop in for a casual drink and bite to eat in downtown Raleigh. We sat at the bar and had very quick service. They have a wide selection of beers, with a few specialty cocktails as well. The food exceeded my expectations. The mozzarella sticks tasted homemade with a great cheese pull! The kale Cesar salad was also super fresh, just be sure to order the peppers on the side to help manage the spice level

Craving fried pickles, I found Raleigh Times! Full size fried pickles that looks freshly made? Yes please! The picture and the reality were a bit different. They were super (think thin potato chips) thin. They were so fried and thin they snapped like a chip and had no pickles flavor sadly. On the upside, the fried mozzarella sticks were large and actually still had the cheese in them! I had the egg sandwich on Brioche that was tasty! The fries were average, no seasoning. I ordered ranch for the sandwich but ended up dipping the fries in it instead. Was Raleigh Times good? Yes. Will I order from there again? Possibly, but I'm not going out of my way.

While in Raleigh for a conference a few weeks back, I reached out to a client and suggested we meet in person instead of our usual virtual calls. Being downtown, we decided on The Raleigh Times, a spot that had been on my short list for a while. Parking was easy since we both walked over from the convention center area. The space itself was large, bright, and inviting. We were told to sit anywhere, so we grabbed a window seat and were quickly greeted by our server, who took our drink orders and handed us menus. Since it was my first visit, my friend Lou gave me his go-to recommendations. I went with the Braised Pork Burrito, and he ordered his favorite, the Shrimp Po Boy. After some good conversation about work and life, lunch arrived. Lou had forgotten just how massive his Po Boy sandwich was. It had great flavor, but it was a bit of a challenge to eat. My burrito was a solid choice and much less messy, with the right balance of flavor and portion size. Overall, The Raleigh Times was a great spot for a casual lunch and conversation. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself downtown.

The family was walking downtown Raleigh and we decided to make a stop here for lunch. I'm so glad we did because that burger was cooked to perfection. The bun was soft and buttery, lettuce was crisp and the burger was so juicy. My picky-eater son already asked to go back. Oh and the staff!!! They were all super friendly and attentive.

Stopped in for a quick drink. The views from the rooftop of this restaurant were absolutely breathtaking. Added bonus that there was live music going on right outside the restaurant! The staff were friendly and drinks were yummy. We left were happy and satisfied with our visit!

The Raleigh Times is a unique spot in downtown Raleigh. The restored building offers multiple dining areas including roof top seating, private dining room, and casual dining areas. The walls are adorned with past Raleigh Times newspaper clippings. The lighting is dim making it ideal for date nights and intimate conversation. We chose a table downstairs. Raleigh Times offers a great menu and impressive beer selection. I was in the mood for tacos so I chose the street tacos and later the chocolate torte. Both were excellent! The tacos were fresh and flavorful while the torte was rich and chocolatey. Overall we enjoyed our evening here and recommend this restaurant to others!

The Raleigh Times rooftop makes you feel cool [wink]. We went out/up for a quick drink and a bite before our show. Alyssa put our order right in and we got to sit down for 30 minutes and enjoy the people and view. We tried the wings and Cuban sandwich. Both were tasty and came out quick. We also like the diverse seating options: outside, bar, window, and traditional table. At this price point, the Times is a solid downtown hang option.

If you're looking for a relaxing stroll with great vibes downtown Raleigh never disappoints. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable perfect for walking, people-watching, and grabbing a drink along the way. I stopped for a drink and ended up staying longer than planned! The ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the city's personality.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

I'm not a huge beer drinker but was still impressed at the plethora of options (International beer on the 2nd floor, Domestic Beer on the first floor, and a separate liquor bar on the first floor as well). So if you are looking for a LOT OF BEER OPTIONS, this is a good place to start/try. I tried a flight of ciders because that's as close to beer as I would typically get (I've attempted to try so many with beer fest but I just can't get into it) and I couldn't choose what I wanted so I had the wonderful bartender select them for me. She provided amazing, friendly service because as indecisive as I can be, she was very patient. For a meal, I order the Jalapeño burger and it was delicious. The jalapeño is basically the sauce that gives the kick you're looking for, not actual jalapeños, and it comes with plenty of fries. Again, I left not a single crumb lol This place is really cool inside and looks like something out of a fairytale with the trees growing through the restaurant. I love plants and nature so for me it was everything. I'd love to see it at night and check out how it's lit up, certain it looks beautiful!
