They frequently perform here so that's a good note. Place is pretty spacious. Large U-shape bar. I love that most of the tables are high top. There's booths and lower tables too. I also noticed the small arcade that kids can play at. That's awesome. Caters to everyone. Anyway, Alex, the bartender, I like to call him "Other" (Inside joke between him and I), he was so nice to serve me my Space Dust or was it Common Space(?) IPA in a 22oz glass. So this actually is the closest good restaurant near my work, so I come here about once or twice a week. Vibe is still good and food is still good. I sit at the bar, and service is still good. I really enjoy eating here, from Taco Tuesdays to all of the great lunch specials. And they're willing to make any customization for you as possible; I saw someone order an alambre (Mitch taco) taco as a pizza. And they made it! (Carne asada, jalapeños, bacon, onions, etc) On a pizza!! As long as I work down the street I'll still have lunch here. read more

Terrible service....We arrived early for a game 5 pm and were told all the tables by the big TV area were reserved and were put at a 4 person table by the entrance. The game we wanted to watch was at 6 pm honestly never heard of a sports bar taking reservations. We took the table and waited almost for 35 min before someone acknowledged us. Almost an hour before we ordered food. Service was terrible by the waitress Danielle and other guests that were sat down in her area were leaving or moved to the bar. Guests started going to the hostess to get silverware and ask for someone to get their own order. The poor hostess Grace was trying to help and was gracious and did her best to help. We stayed through the end of the game almost 8:30 pm and all the supposed reserved tables never filled up. I think they are way understaffed. read more

I will never go to this place again; I went there a few months ago, and my steak was horrible, heavily salted, and the service was horrible; and then tonight, one of my husbands friends went in to watch the basketball game, but was told he couldn't sit anywhere near the tables because it was reserved for some trivia game even though the place was empty and he wasn't even allowed to sit in spots where there was no reserved label, and the hostess was very rude and said he couldn't be here. Came here to watch a local band perform. The bar was absolutely packed and the band Had everybody dancing on the floor, which was awesome. However, the restaurant did not have enough places for people to sit or stand despite the restaurant/bar being quite large. Our server was actually quite attentive and very kind and their food looked good despite the bad reviews. However, the drinks were not good at all. I got a vodka, cranberry and pineapple, and we all thought it tasted like cough syrup, and did not seem to have any vodka in it. The rest of my party also got vodka, tonics and said they were some of the lightest drinks they've ever had. Was a bummer as it is a sports bar and we expected them to have yummy tasting drinks, but we honestly did not like any of them. the ranch has gone very downhill and needs a reboot. The bar especially. Adrien, the bartender had a meltdown when I was just standing in line to get change for the kids video games (that I would find out later didn't work) and yelled "I'm not helping you" when he wasn't even 1 deep at the bar. what did he want me to do? go home? we did. it was bizarre. maybe a one off, but damn, learn how to handle a non-crowd in a suburban bar that was 1/4 full. just rude. also, no point in watching a game there as you can't hear any sound. they have the sound on, but you can't hear any commentary. we left at halftime of the USMT match. it has potential but hasn't changed in 15 years aside from gletting older, despite management and ownership change. it's like a car that just gets older and worse with each passing year. read more

We have ordered The Ranch so many times in the past two years out of convenience, and every single time I ask myself, "why?!" Last night put the nail in the coffin. I ordered the kids chicken nuggets and fries. Thankfully I cut it in half before she ate because one of them was RAW. Beyond that, the fries always taste so stale. Nothing is ever good about the food. It just does the job. Many times when we order out, things are wrong. For example, last weekend I ordered the veggie burger and a beef burger came instead. I had the best experience here! The atmosphere was great especially because they had a live band! My server, Devyn, said they have live music every Friday and Saturday (depending on sports/playoffs). I went last night to see an old work mate band play (Reckless... cover band for oldies) I never been to this place before. Nice place. Clean, big open space to see the band but that where it ends. Girl at the bar was awful. She made negative jester about the music all night to her friend sitting at one of the tables. Walked around with a big chip on her shoulder. It was so disrespectful to the band. The music and the people that spent their money in the place. I dropped $60 on two drinks and a so so appetizer. I left before the bands last set. I was disgusted with twenty something attitude. Even the kid at the table. That is the core of the problem today. These kids don't respect their grand parents, their parent or even the people spending their money so they can get a pay check. Get a real bartender that knows how to be customer friendly and treat people with respect. I did note the servers were working their butts off. Management maybe you ought to let her pick the bands. My wife and I have gone to Ranch Sports Grill for date night on Friday nights numerous times. However, a few weeks ago, things went differently than usual. When I asked for the check at the end of our meal the server pulled out the credit card reading device (it had a screen) and asked for my card. Instinctually I just handed him my card, assuming he was just placing it in the unit and allowing me to review the bill and complete the transaction. Instead he handed me the device already advanced to the tip screen. However, thankfully I noticed at the top of the screen it listed an amount higher than expected for our bill. $46.52 for a hamburger and a nachos appetizer. I mentioned to him that I didn't think the amount was right, and he sheepishly explained that there's a forced gratuity of 18% automatically applied to all bills that night. It seemed apparent he was a little embarrassed that I noticed, especially since he brought me straight to the tip screen, obviously hoping that I would double tip him. I explained that I would be happy to leave a gratuity, but that I did not agree with a gratuity being forced upon me, especially when no notice had been given. He said he would have to go get his supervisor. When the supervisor arrived I explained that we had been there several times before on Friday evenings, and that there had never been a forced gratuity before. He explained that sometimes they do it, and sometimes they don't. I explained to him that there was no notice given. He said it was posted at the entrance. I explained to him that we saw no such notice. He left, and walked over to the entrance to look around. When he came back he confirmed that there wasn't a sign at the entrance, but that there were signs taped up behind the bar. I explained that (obviously) we were not at the bar, and that we were in the dining area. He said that it still counted, that the bill was what it was, and that since they already scanned my card that the bill, along with the forced gratuity, was already paid for anyway. I never agreed to this, nor did I sign for anything. I explained that this was inappropriate, and that I would escalate the issue. I called the next day to speak with a manager, but I was told she wouldn't be available until after the weekend. Then I called on Monday, and was told she might be in later in the day. I called again, and apparently she still wasn't in. I tried the next day, left my contact information, asking for a call back whenever she got it. I never received a call. I called several more times throughout the week, and was never able to reach anyone I could discuss the matter with. Ultimately I had to file a report with Visa to resolve the issue that way. It's unfortunate, as we really wanted to support a business in our community. We sincerely want Sports Ranch Grill to succeed, but treating your customers like this isn't how to do it. The poor service, and shady forced gratuity practice (which I've now seen other reviews discussing), has left a bad taste in our mouths. I don't think we'll be returning. read more

Husband and I came in to see how the atmosphere at the ranch We sat down at the bar. There were plenty of employees behind the bar not one person came up to us until my husband said hey can we get a drink? He went off to get us a drink, and in the meantime, another couple came in and sat down to the left of us. We had been watching the game waiting for our drinks and all of a sudden the employee goes and changes the TV. My husband said why are you changing the TV? He said that couple asked me to change it.
