I have been wanting to get into something like Yoga for a while now. Well recently I had an injury…read moreat work and Yoga was suggested to me for something that may help. I had seen the advertisement Mindpose had where you could get 14 days for $14 and I decided to give it a go. I signed up and went later that night. My first class was absolutely amazing. The instructor was so welcoming and so kind to me. The second class was not as great--I have found that every instructor sometimes has different teaching styles and also different ideas of what the class consists of. With this specific class, we were doing like a two minute plank in a 98 degree room. Whew. I tried another class that was a lot more about meditation. It was interesting but probably my least favorite just because of the several minutes that she had us holding our necks in a position I couldn't do too well because of the injury I still currently have. I understand that we are not being forced to do every move but there is a lot of pressure to follow along and even more when there is not an alternative option being given. We are supposed to be guided and I don't really want to lay there and look like a lazy bones just because I am restricted from doing a certain pose. I loved a bit more of the meditation and I like when they seem to "guide our spirit" by talking to us about life stuff too (like dedicating the class to someone in mind, releasing negative energy). I really love the music and the atmosphere that Mindpose provides for people. The instructors have all been kind and I love the towel we get after. I wish there was a bit more consistency, even the temperature varies 10 degrees and seems a bit unpredictable. The location is very convenient and I enjoy the dim lighting a lot.

This is not your average yoga class. Monica is not your average instructor…read more I've only been practicing at 3B Studio in Provo at the Shops at Riverwoods for a few months, and I can already tell this place is something special. Monica keeps every class interesting, fresh, and genuinely engaging -- you never feel like you're just going through the motions. What sets her apart is her extraordinary ability to meet every single person exactly where they are. Our classes are small enough that no one ever slips through the cracks -- and Monica makes full use of that. The range in her room is remarkable. I'm 51, physically strong and flexible -- but because of a brain injury, what I hear and what my body actually does with an instruction doesn,t always match. Monica navigates that with zero fuss and total grace, right alongside students with entirely different challenges and needs. Everyone gets better. Every single class. I'll be honest -- I came in intimidated. I genuinely worried I'd be overwhelmed, overstimulated, or unable to make it through without it becoming too much. From the very first moment, Monica made me feel comfortable and accepted. No fanfare, no awkwardness -- just a space where I belonged. And then there's Bailey -- my service dog. Our first 60-minute class together wasn't perfect, but that's the thing about this studio: nobody made us feel like it needed to be. The whole room gave us the grace and space to grow into it together. That kind of community doesn't happen by accident. It starts with the instructor. No matter your age, your fitness level, or what you're carrying when you walk through that door -- you will benefit here. Deeply. Monica sees you, and she will help you get better every single time

A friend and I reserved a couple of spots in the salt cave to meditate and relax before dinner. It wasn't quite the experience we were hoping for. On arrival, 15 minutes before the session, the front office area was somewhat chaotic with staff + owner hurriedly putting up oversized holiday decor with a 15 foot ladder in the entryway. It felt like an odd time to do that when clients were coming in for a restful experience. Check-in was seamless and easy, though. Staff were all very friendly. As I settled in to prepare for the session, there was a lot of noise from the check in area that distracted from the initial experience. When the salt cave session started, it was again difficult to relax as the motor that generates the NaCl aerosol into the room was making quite a racket. I finally got up to let the staff know, but they said that's just the way it is. This wasn't relaxing white noise. This sounded like a belt on a motor that was at its end. It was very distracting and made it difficult to enjoy the experience. When the session time was up, a staff member abruptly opened the door and announced the session was over, and to leave quickly so the next session could start. (!?) I'd like to suggest incorporating a chime or gong into the sound system or have a staff member use a chime to gently bring clients back to awareness (if they were able to block out the motor noise). Overall, the salt cave is gorgeous and absolutely has a grounding presence, but some of the interactions were really clumsy and distracted from the potential of what this experience could be. I also found all the products for sale (crystals and essential oils) and plastic oversized holiday decor as indicators that this is more likely a commercial venture than holistic healing. That's fine, but be advised.

I had skied all day and it was really nice to end my day relaxing in this way. The studio was very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.
