Welcome to the world, Rebel Reserve! So glad a new cozy and hip coffee spot has popped up in Old Brooklyn. Walking distance from our house, friendly to dogs, and serving fantastic coffee and espresso drinks, we're sure we'll soon be regulars. The owners moved from Denver and have wonderfully imported parts of the incredible coffee scene in Colorado. My husband, ever the strategist, ordered his two tried and true tests of whether a coffee shop knows what's up: a cortado and a black drip coffee. Both of these Rebel Reserve has nailed. I ordered a specialty latte - the brown sugar and cinnamon latter topped with smoked vanilla cold foam. SO delicious - the smoked vanilla in particular stands out. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop! They have a parking lot, which is always a relief. They have a few seating options inside. The drop coffee was good. I tasted my mom's specialty latte was it was delicious! I think it was caramel something. I wish there were more food/snack options. The barista was very friendly and patient. And I loved the secondhand clothes! What a great selection! And the styling of the whole place, you can tell someone had fun decorating. The passion really comes through!

Great tasting coffee and cute seating areas. Feels like a slice of Austin in Cleveland, but without having to suffer being in Texas. Some good vintage clothes at good prices. Friendly person working when I was there.

Highly recommend this local coffee shop with lots to browse through their vintage section! Also, the ladies who work there are lovely!! Old Brooklyn has not been complete, but now with The Rebel Reserve, it's perfect!

Oh my god this place?! How were we some of the only people here on a Saturday? People should be busting down the doors. Such a unique, fresh vibe for a coffee shop. Incredible atmosphere and the shopping while you wait for a drink is so fun. Baristas were some of the kindest I've come across in my travels. Please make this spot busy.

Pumpkin puree latte and vanilla latte, both hot.

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie - vegan, so expectations on how soft it would be was low, it was still the best thing we had. Ordered their vanilla hot latte, iced dirty chai and pumpkin puree hot latte. Iced Chai latte - it didn't have enough milk, it was very heavy in the tea and was watered down. Pumpkin puree latte - it had obviously a strong taste of pumpkin puree with whatever they put on top, but the coffee itself wasn't good. Vanilla latte - it follows the same issue of incorrectly pulled espresso shot, but to top it off, even using whole milk, it wasn't stretched correctly and the texture wasn't good. It would be like taking milk and warming it up in the microwave and pouring it. I will also say, you may want to play with your recipe, it seems you're not using enough syrup, I was there waiting for my drink and a customer came up with her iced latte and asked for more pumpkin syrup. Needless to say, we ate the cookie and spilled out the drinks. Place is also dirty, it has potential. Need to clean it up, and retrain the barista, the equipment they have is very good and this place can kick ass, I hope my criticism isn't taken in a bad way and it only leads to improvement. Goodluck!

Great spot. Staff was friendly and coffee delish. Some interesting retro stuff to look at. Easy place to work for a bit or relax.

Ask the Community - The Rebel Reserve

In the seating area, are there outlets in proximity to spend 2-3 hours having coffee, answering emails, and doing remote work with a laptop?

In its current state, Flower Child is walking into a retro basement that has decades of treasure! LAYOUT/INVENTORY: The store has two levels with multiple rooms of treasure. Both levels have similar merchandise - home goods, kitchen tools, some furniture, abundance of accessories, clothing, vinyls, and some interesting international decor. Just when you think you ran out of rooms, there are more rooms of treasure to browse. I especially loved the basement. Every room is a treasure hunt! If you wear petite sizes, this is a treasure trove of vintage clothing. You'll find tees, dresses, sweaters, and pants. The clothing is casual and functional. Check out all the clothing rooms on the main level and basement. VALUE: The discounts on merchandise of 70% is a great value. However, the initial prices are quite high considering the quality. Some of the clothing and items are very well loved. I don't see myself paying full prices for the items to be extremely honest. SERVICE: The staff was very nice to customers during checkout. There was a lot of excitement about the upcoming store move. They staff was always very busy. Personally, I wanted to ask about the pricing for a folk pin I was eyeing. There was no one to ask so I eventually gave up. I'm sure the service is more attentive during the regular days. PARKING: I was surprised to find a pretty large parking lot at the back of the building considering the location is in Lakewood. Amazing if you're carrying home a lot of treasure. I would recommend Flower Child to guests who enjoy digging for treasure. You definitely need maybe an hour to focus on each room without getting overwhelmed. I look forward to checking out the layout of a new store!

It's such a nostalgic loire with mid-century modern treasures between 1920 and 1980. I've now visited a few times and really loved my time here. It also has been recognized for being one of the best thrift shops in Ohio. I can see why! AMBIANCE/MERCH: The store occupies 10,000 square feet space on Lorain. It's a neighborhood well known for thrift to the extent that you can have your own crawl. Sweet Lorain has the main space, back space, and furniture room. The main space mostly contains old newspapers, vinyls, jewelry, and home decor. The furniture room has furniture and nostalgic toys. The back room is the treasure chest. You'll find global treasures, Ohio decor, Christmas decor, furs, clothing, luggage, hats, and never ending inventory of whatever you brain may dream up. Some inventory even indicates the era. The inventory pricing widely varies from a few cents to the thousands. Be ready to go on an archeological dig, there is an overwhelming amount of inventory and unique finds. I am a very picky thrifter, and even I can find things to light up about. I love the assortment of furs at Sweet Lorain. There are so many racks of fur coats, boxes upon boxes of muftas, stoles, and hats. There is a fabulous collection of feathered hats (let's bring this fashion back)! There are also a million other things to love. SERVICE: The service is pretty friendly, the owner and the employee always ask if you want help. I most impressed that the owner knows absolutely everything he carries in his enormous inventory. Just ask, and he'll tell you. PARKING: Small, gated parking lot is available onsite. You can also find plenty of street parking. SELL: This place allows you to sell your treasures. Make an appointment in advance. I plan to be back very soon to dig for formal accessories - shoes and clutches. If you have a formal occasion, venture out here. You'll find so many shoes, clutches, formal dresses, and everything in between. It's perfect destination for holiday outfit shopping and everything in between.

SERVICE: The store staff all welcomed me in. It was a very pleasant experience. I also witnessed them engaging in friendly conversations with other customers. I did not purchase anything due to the store carrying a very limited plus size inventory. It's a well set expectation at most thrift and vintage shops due to procurement difficulties.
