I've only been once, but was unimpressed. Good beer selection. The menu looks to be mostly frozen foods thrown in a microwave or fryer. My friend & went in for a snack & a beer one afternoon & I was excited to see my favorite beer on tap. Yes! Waitress asked if a tall was ok, I said yes assuming it was going to a 16oz. It wasn't. It was a beautiful 22oz. I wasn't mad about it, just wished she would let me know the size I was going to be getting. I'm a slow beer drinker so 22oz takes me a while to drink. My friend ordered a wrap that she enjoyed & I just got cheese sticks, which were good (but really, how could you mess up cheese sticks?). We had barley finished our last bite of food before the waitress asked if we were done & left our check. We weren't going to order anything else, but we both still had over half our beers left. After we paid, a friend joined us & the waitress looked annoyed. She took our friends order & about one bite into his food came up to us & said she was leaving needed him to cash out... Um ok? I've been in the business for many years & have always had to finish my last table before leaving. I think that was rude of her. Maybe I'm too picky. This place is pretty great, especially for the area it's in. Craft beers a plenty! I had my first date with my boyfriend here and we've been coming back ever since. I was pretty impressed with their beer selection and their food menu is pretty extensive. I usually only get drinks here while my guy gets The Original Burger. He always gets that and there's a reason why, because it's deliciously juicy. I did, however, once try the Turkey, Bacon, Swiss Wrap. It was HUGE and quite tasty. The side of kettle chips and pickle were great as well. It is a tad dim in there and the decor might be a bit outdated but that's what makes the place. I will definitely be back for sure! read more

Best craft beer stop in Flint! Which is exactly what we stopped in for. Such a great selection! They were put of a few that we wanted, but oh we'll there was plenty to choose from :) They do samples, which to me is he best way to attack the large selection. They use frosted pints and talls - which to me is a negative because it causes foam and waste for the bar. And honestly any beer snob can tell you a super cold beer is not always best for the beer you're drinking. :/ Ask for an un-frosted glass - trust me. We have been to BW's and refuse to go back. Wings are over priced and small in size (bone in wing). We tried Sharky's and the wings where not worth the money. The Firkin Fox was minimal in their effort to provide a wing worth eating. We have been to the Baron multiple times and NEVER paid attention to the daily specials. Finally 3 weeks ago, we look, saw, and conquered the quest for ultimate wings. On Thursday night from 6-close (I believe) wings are .50 and Bone In. Ya ya, I know a lot of you want a "boneless" wing but rule number 108 in the human evolution handbook clearly states "trust no one that eats only boneless wings". They do not have 900 sauces which actually makes it awesome. I believe they have like 4 or 5. I eat the hot wings, the extreme hot just the regular. My wife always gets the honey mustard wings. We are able to order 30 wings, fries, 2 large Bud Heavies and a pint of Budlight for under 30$. Please please try getting that deal at BWs!! read more

I love the baron. The beer selection here is far and above the best in the area. I come here on a regular basis to try new beers. With as often as the rotate taps it really helps me keep up with the ever changing craft beer market. And what better to go with beer but hot wings and I will say with confidence that their wings are the absolute best I've ever had. The service here is usually pretty good. The girls are attentive and the only criticism I have is that they are just order takers. I wish they would be more informed about the products they sell. I stopped in last night for a burger, cause I hear this place has amazing burgers and I can't seem seem to find a great local burger. So I call and get take-out, which oddly enough I'm not a fan of, because take-out generally sucks from anywhere except Chinese. So I call when I leave my house and place my order. She says 15 min, I'm there in 10. I wait a few minutes and she brings my burger. Very nice, offered condiments and whatnot togo. The decor is cool and the tv's would be great to watch a game on, plus a ton of beers on tap. So far so good. I get home ready to be disappointed with my togo burger, but I was not. It was amazing! A great place to get drinks with dinner, especially on Thursday nights when they have $2.50 beers and $0.40 wings. They have General-Tso flavored wings, which is both unique and delicious. The Red Baron is a great place to go with friends. Really good food that always seems freshly made, a huge beer list (most actually are on tap), lively atmosphere, and fair prices. The burgers are great, and my personal favorites are the famous Twisted Chicken sandwich, the Chicken Caesar salad, the Ruebens (turkey or corned beef), and the Chicken Pita Club. They also have great specials, which are low priced offerings that vary depending on the day of the week. This all being said, if you haven't been to the Red Baron before, it is what I would call a very unpretentious working class bar, not a fancy hipster restaurant. But everyone is welcome, and it always feels safe and inviting. Great for a date, to hang out with your buds, or to bring the family. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED? This was a favorite and now, sadly, I'd give them the cliche' "0" if possible. We've been regular customers to RB ever since they changed their focus from a local drinking hole to a craft beer-bar. It's always been a simple experience each and every time: friendly staff, lots of beer choices, decent food. I don't know how many different beers and beer styles I've become a fan of by tasting them first here and then coming back to enjoy over and over. We showed up last night and saw amongst their new beers on tap a few we hadn't yet been able to try. We asked the waitress, the same one who's helped us out probably the last 5 or 6 times we've been there, for a "taste" of the beers that sounded most interesting, something we've done countless times. We're talking a splash at the bottom of a glass here. We were told, no matter how many people in the party, there are only two tastes per table. Two. TASTES. Per. TABLE! It was stupefying to say the least. And from a place that now considers themselves a "brewery." We decided to let my wife taste what she wanted. She was then told only low abv beers could be tasted. All along Ashley kept reiterating we should "just make our own flight for $2 per 4 oz. sample." When I let the waitress know, with all the kindness I had in me (I mean, she was just the messenger, right?) that we were very disappointed in the new policies and it MAY just keep us from driving 20+ to come here (really, I had no anger, just disappointment), our waitress promptly left and had another waitress take over our table. Mind you, she wasn't done with her shift, she didn't apologize or try to empathize with our concerns, she didn't just go relay our concerns to a manager, she simply decided we were too much for her and washed her hands of our table. Surreal. The whole evening was jaw-droppingly surreal. As I looked over their facebook reviews I see that several people have had severely disappointing experiences here in the last few weeks. Considering the fact that between our house and RB are two beer-bars and a FANTASTIC brewery (Redwood), I can't see us coming back. And I'm truly, truly sad to say that. read more

I knew I was going to be very busy that day, so besides ordering lunch, I also ordered dinner, to take home.
