After our trip to Alacatraz, my bf and I were walking back to Chinatown and came across The Red Jack Saloon. It was literally across from Pier 33 off Bay st so we went in for a drink. We met the nicest person ever! Laurie! Such a gem. This place was nice and clean and drinks were amazing! So glad we stopped in. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good place for a drink, this is it! Will def be returning when we visit SF again! -Jess & Shaun Laurie, sorry if I misspelled your name. Haha hope to see you again soon!

Pineapple Ace - delicious to go with the WIN

Laurie was so welcoming to us Dodgers fans fans !! We honestly had the most enjoyable time here. Cool spot. Super clean. Loved the law enforcement patches throughout the bar area. We also met our friend Charlie there. We will be back in September for another round of baseball ! Go DODGERS

Really enjoyed this place, especially with the breeze coming in from the front doors. Really good service (one bartender - female, handled the bar like a breeze), huge and clean one-person bathrooms, clean, pretty area. Plenty of TVs, different channels. Clientele was truly lovely, someone bought us a round and they and others offered great recommendations on where to go for dinner! We took their advice and were not disappointed! Even wanted to go back later that night, so that's a pretty good experience! :) Thought I had photos but couldnt find any :( Did not require proof of vaccination at time of our visit. *full disclosure - tourist review*

Great dive/sports bar with a dartboard (steel tip) and around a dozen beers on tap. Nice spot with cool bartenders not far Fisherman's Wharf/Embarcadero.

Great ambience and crowd. Real SF vibes! Bartenders were attentive and very friendly. Always try to find a new spot for a drink every time I'm in SF, but this will definitely be on repeat!

Stopped by here because I needed to rinse my mouth out from the Dewar's tasting at Fort Mason Center. My friends and I enjoyed Johnnie Walker Black on the rocks. MUCH better than any of the Dewar's products. Actually, whenever I am in the area, I stop at The Red Jack Saloon. The place is always fun with lively characters coming through. I have gone to the Red Jack for the last two years. Each year taking special care to make their annual Xmas fundraiser. This place is a great community gem that goes above and beyond what is required for good business in SF. It is a pleasure to support such a great establishment with great employees and great owners. I'd highly recommend that you stop by and show your support, if you are in the area.

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!

It's also a cool destination for friends visiting from out of town. It's hard to pass up hanging out at the oldest bar in San Francisco, made partially from parts of a shipwreck! It has that classic, old-timey neighborhood bar feel without feeling overly touristy. The staff is always so nice and welcoming! The drinks are great (I think I've had most of the cocktail menu at this point), and the food is delicious. My favorite cocktail would have to be the Pimm's Cup, though it's hard to choose just one. Food-wise, we've had the burger (mine with a Beyond patty), the patty melt, chicken mole nachos, quesadilla, chili, clam chowder, and mac & cheese--can you tell we come here a lot? I haven't personally tried the meats, but the mole sauce on the chicken mole nachos is delicious, almost as good as the mole my parents make. The burger is so good and is my usual go-to, with sweet potato fries. I'd say we've tried a good majority of the menu at this point, and we've never been disappointed. I highly recommend it for a chill night with friends or to watch a game. There's also a small outdoor area that's great if you're looking for a quieter evening. We usually only sit outside when we bring our dog (she loves bars--might have a drinking problem).

Great little bar in the FiDi, open late, and serves food late at night which is a huge plus. Even after a celebratory dinner, we couldn't resist getting the quesadilla here again - this place makes one of the best quesadillas I've had. Get it with guacamole, which they fold into the quesadilla. The drinks are good, and reasonably priced, especially for SF. Good selection of beers. When you walk in, you'll feel like you're on the deck of a ship - or like you've had a few too many - because the floor is slanted. Fun place, and draws in the local crowd. See you soon, Old Ship.
