We popped by last weekend for a drink to get out of the sudden rain. Delicious choices and a great little spot to sit and relax!

I dropped in here on Friday before the Rockies game, and it was cold and windy outside so I needed a little beer and a little whiskey to warm me up inside. This spot has a decent selection of brews on tap, and I got myself the Purple Haze raspberry beer because it's purple and I was going to a Rockies game and idk, man - I'm a fan of keeping with a theme. Not my favorite beer, but I've never had it and you've gotta try new things, you know? That didn't really do the trick of warming me up (ice cold beer never really does, what was I thinking?) so I got myself a whiskey. A pickle whiskey. I love pickles, whiskey is great. Why not both? Gotta tell you, whiskey/pickle fusions are amazing. This one was also amazing. Top notch, guys. Then, I overheard someone talking about a peperoncini vodka. I don't like vodka. Never have, probably never will. But I had to try it, because their pickle whiskey was executed so well. Gotta tell you, that stuff is amazing. It is so incredibly spicy and tasty and vinegary that I couldn't tell I was drinking vodka, which is key when I'm trying to enjoy a vodka drink. This place was cheap too, even after paying for a fellow patron's whiskey shots. Next time I'm in town, I'm for sure coming back for the infused liquor and their friendly staff (the bartender was great!). read more

This is truly a diamond in the rough! I just barely glimpsed at the place while walking down Blake. It is squooshed in the middle of a row of true and true sports bars. An excellent location though if you think about it. They have the TVs if you need them but a place where you can have a cool atmosphere as opposed to a "least effort" sports bar. When you walk in you will be amazed by the endless shelf of infused drinks. The shed like storage cage. The gas pumps and other industrial themed items. .....though somehow is still classy. I had never been to the refinery before, but I went in for the first time(primarily to find customers from dining with me at the cherry cricket because they left something) but I couldn't find them, so I decided to get a shot and a drink before getting a drink. I usually love this place and it's typically my first stop when I go out downtown, but I was sooooo disappointed the other night! We had friends visiting from Amsterdam so we figured what better place to take them to start the night. Both bar tenders were incredibly rude to my guests and myself, they acted like they couldn't see us for the first 20 minutes even though there was maybe 20 people inside? And then when they did serve us they completely ignored my friends and only spoke with me because they could see a credit card in my hands and after they gave us our drinks they told us to back away from the bar? Keep in mind there was like 20 people in there so we definitely weren't in the way of anyone. I am from Seattle. The whole idea of a power hour.. Is INSANE TO ME! It's the most evil thing I can think of. Free alcohol for an hour?! I love it. Not sure if you would classify this as a dive bar or regular bar but it's def not a refined location. The inside looks cheap and holds no real theme, they have pickled shots i tried 3 and none as good as the retro room shots. It was busy Saturday night and the place was packed with kids that looked like they just graduated high school, and not the popular good looking kids, i am talking acne riddled, identity confused hyper active, reject children that mom and dad let out to play. I gave it two stars because in spite it being packed the bar tender gave fast service and moved along the crowd making sure everyone could get an order in. No real dress code, music being played was mtv commerical punk rock, nothing that set a mood or tone for the place. Took my shots and left asap. read more

Went here after a Rockies game and had been here previously. On this particular evening the bartender and the manager on duty both managed to lose my credit card and when brought to their attention they insinuated it was my fault because they had a signed copy. Not willing to take responsibility for handing my card to someone else, not checking identification for card despite instruction to do so and even after I called the police over the situation the manger on duty informed me the police were buddies of his and this would be handled. If you value your personal belongings and want to be treated with respect this is not the place for you. As I was told by said manager when he was downplaying the situation "It's just a card" well I would recommend using yours to pay for a better time literally anywhere else in the city. read more

I love this place! We live in the mountains and we try to go whenever we are in Denver. The pickle shots are my favorite. If pickle shots aren't your thing (my husband) they have probably more then 25 other infused liquors. The juicers are also really good and unique. This is exactly what you're looking for, it you're looking for a dark room with mainstream music to get obliterated in. Honestly, I'm not a fan at all, but it is exactly what you'd expect when you have no expectations. Besides drinking a lot. Try their flower shots, though. The chaser is gross, but the flowers give you this weird tingly feeling in your mouth that you've never felt before. Pretty unique! read more

This is the place to go if you want fusion vodka, tequila, and whiskey. All located and fused on the shelf behind the bar. They may have fused gin too. Apple cinnamon vodka with fresh squeezed green apple was a stand out! I also mixed chocolate and cherry whiskey together and enjoyed it on the rocks. They have a good number of fusion specialities and a full bar. The bartender said they use titos for the vodka so they don't use bottom shelf spirits which is good as well. read more

I will never return. I was pushed out the door by security after having a beer and a shot for being to drunk. My question is if I was to drunk why was this not brought up while I was buying another 30 dollars worth of alcohol. If I was this drunk the alcohol should have never been sold to me. This used to be our bar. Our group came here every other day. Unfortunately we popped in for the last leg of our trip to get a cold one (used the restrooms first) and when we finished we were confronted with a taller female bartender with short hair who gave us shit for ending up wanting to go outside cause it was cold as hell inside. If you're in the mood for a pickle shot definitely head here instead of retro room to avoid the long lines and insane crowds.
