Had my hair done today by Lina and came to leave a review and honestly quite shocked at the low ratings! I decided March of this year to stop box dying my hair black and let the grey grow. Started seeing the grey blending trend and decided that's the route I wanted to go. Im 50yrs old and have had my hair done more times than I can count- including some real bad ones. I have very THICK dark hair and LOTS of it and have been told this by every person who has done my hair. I have also ALWAYS been charged more for every color/treatment service because of how much product is needed on my hair. This is common sense I thought but perhaps not for people that haven't experienced it before. I've also learned you must do your research. Hair dressers are not miracle workers. I knew going in, from MY research, that black box dye is horrible to get out and 99% of the time requires multiple sessions. I knew also from my research the chances of me walking out today with exactly what I wanted were slim to none. I did my consult with Lina, she told me everything up front that I already had done my research on, and I made an appt that was today. I am BEYOND ecstatic with my hair! Literal shock that this first go round came out as good as it did. Lina even mentioned how healthy my hair was and that because I followed her instruction to use clarifying shampoo before my visit, the black lifted exceptionally well. She was so friendly, talkative, very honest with what may happen with bleach, just an overall great experience. She had another girl assisting who was also pleasant, and all the stylists there were chatting and friendly and it's just crazy to read the other reviews that it was a stuck up atmosphere?!?! Should have seen all the 1 star reviews on yelp and knew better. I was looking to get in somewhere for a last minute blow out, called and scheduled an appt for 5:45pm then called back no joke less then 9 minutes later to let her know I was able to find a place which can take me in sooner and she advised me they will have to charge me a $50 dollar cancellation fee on a $45 blowout per their "48 hour cancellation policy". She's a liar and said there's no way to cancel the appointment on vagaro without charging my card or issuing a refund. Implement your cancellation policy on people who booked out weeks or days prior. Not on a potential new client who booked less than an hour before the appointment time and the 48 hour window doesn't even apply to. Your stylist had the opening anyway Clearly not in demand so it's not like the 9 minutes I slotted the time I took away from their non existent traffic. Worst first impression of a place just over the phone thank goodness I'll never have to step foot in a money hungry establishment like that. She now says I took days to contact them about my hair when I actually immediately expressed I did not receive what I asked for and was charged twice what I was told. Those conversations were the same day and lasted a week because they are money hungry and refuse to have morals. She also claims they quoted me and I agreed to move forward- LIES. Never happened. Lina was never in the conversation until i wrote to her the following day, but she talks like she was present the entire time. Avoid this place at all costs if ya can! Scheduled a consultation for my first appt with Lina and I was in and out in 5 minutes. no bleach test strip was done on my hair ridiculous. I should've taken that as a sign to run & to run fast! I Was quoted $300 for baby lights or balayage (color correction) ..... idk how the balayage would have worked cause I am naturally blonde with my roots showing. She should've just quoted me a price bleaching my whole head lol since that is my goal to get back to what my natural is. she let me know that price would increase if there is more bleach being used (never heard of that until this appt but ok lol ) She knew there was a budget I had so we stayed within it. 4 hours I had bleach on my hair. 4 HOURS. My hair is FRIED. I can't understand how I went in with dark brown and left with dark brown and some high lights... few blonde more are mainly red or orange. I know it's a color correction... I know it was pulling different colors. At the end of the appt she said "well the hard part is over" correct me if I'm wrong but it's not over lol half of my head still isn't bleached and I'm still gonna have to pay out $400 or MORE for the other half to be done. And then some to finally get the other colors of the rainbow out. My hair is so many different colors right now.... I saw a different stylist recently and she looked at me and said "what the hell happened? Your hair is fried! She should've have recommended something else that way your hair is somewhat the same all over. This place is not my vibe and it seems that other stylists feel that way considering how empty it is. The first thing i noticed going into the salon was that it was small and run down. The dryers look like a tiger scratched the fabric on them, there are no purse holders, stylists do not use dysons. The quality of the stylists is they just got out of school. The girl doing my hair messed up mine and her other clients hair while multi tasking, color has to be applied twice and process time was double due to her mistake, she was also on the phone with the owner as she cut my hair so i did not get the cut i wanted. The prices are double what a level 4a stylist with 15 years experience charges in a well maintained salon. read more

I went and got my hair done by kiani sometime in mid march and she did horrible. My hair is so fried and even my hair cut was messed up and very uneven I had to get help from another stylist and she showed me the amount of hair that is fried off and the uneven haircut that she had did on me. I wasn't going to leave a review because I hate to be that kind of person but I just need to warn the people that are going to that salon and just make sure to do your homework and make sure your going to someone that has been doing it for awhile. I'm very upset with this salon. My kids bought me a gift certificate 160.00, 2 or 3 years ago. Well needless to say it was misplaced, and it was found recently. I live in Phoenix, and I'm unavailable during the week. When I did call, I was told I could not use the card, it expired! The owner was going to look up the sale, but computer could not go back that far. My daughter called them, and never returned her call. I was told they called me and left a message, but I received nothing. I feel bad the gift card was lost. I never heard of a gift certificate expiring. Not very happy with them and their lack of ignoring the whole thing. I really think my kids should get their money back!!! read more

Had a great color correcting service with Denise at Remedy! She's very easy to talk to but more than that, she is great at educating her services. She explained to me why or why not we were doing something, due to the integrity of the hair health. She would explain the reason the color needs another session or toning etc. she even gave me product recommendation to make my color last and look it's best. I left with healthier shiny hair and she even followed up to offer me a discount for my next service to come see her again! I recommend her to anyone! I had a nice color and let someone touch it up & cut it a couple months ago. My hair was 4 different colors and I couldn't style it nicely. This salon is very expensive! You might not mind paying for a great color but that's not what I got. My hair was ruined by an extremely inexperienced girl. First she was late to my appointment. I noticed two other hairdressers who were also late for appointments while I was there. Then she spent the better part of two hours talking about herself or explaining to me How do you get what you pay for and that's why their salon is more expensive. I am so disappointed! I called as a courtesy that I was on route and simply 10 minutes away. Rachel has cancelled on me on two different occasions last minute and I was totally compassionate both times. Every visit I have never been seen at my appointed time so I didn't think it was going to be an issue at all. At the minimum I would wait 30-40 minutes as she would take quite some time blow drying, styling, and photo shoot outside capturing her clients hair. Don't mind at all, until the same consideration wasn't shown to me. I was more than considerate with my very generous tips, never taking into account that Rachel never took me at my scheduled time. So unprofessional but was already considering a change because of her prices anyways. I would pay close to $300 a visit. When I arrived she was taking her usual 10 minute pics anyways. Then spent more time telling me that she wouldn't be able to do half of her services. I wasn't going to walk out undone. Guess I'll take my business elsewhere. My girlfriend went in to get her hair done for her birthday. She's a license cosmetologist so she understands hair and beauty. She left in tears because of Lina the hair stylist completely chopped near all her hair off. She went in for a coloring. Her hair was down to her butt and is now above her shoulders because the hair stylist said she had to cut it. 0/10. Horrible service. And on top of that she still paid 500 dollars for the haircut. I can't even believe the experience I had seeing Lina. I went in 3.5 weeks before I got my hair done to get a consultation to see what it would cost and if it was achievable. When I was there Lina booked my appointment before I left. *This was my birthday gift* When the day came for my hair appt she asked what we were doing again (I didn't expect her to remember me) and I told her what I was thinking. She goes over pricing again which I'm okay with because I'm okay paying for good hair. Before starting she told me to be open to cutting SOME hair which I was. She cuts some off and starts foiling my hair and not even halfway in her next client comes. I have a lot of hair which is why I went for a consult so she knew what time was needed and the pricing she could give me. Well as she's doing my hair and her next client arrives I can't help but apologize for having a lot of hair. She said it's okay but next time book for an ombré. I said I'm sorry I don't know what you booked me for. That instantly made me feel like it was my fault but it wasn't because I didn't book myself. She proceeds to do my hair (she needed 3 or 4 extra bowls at $25 each) and finished foiling me and sat me under the dryer for a good 45 minutes to 1 hour. She has an assistant who checked on me once but had left me under there. Lina is doing her client and finishes but continues to talk to her client while leaving me under the dryer without even checking on me. I have bleach on my hair under the dryer and am a new client... I would be concerned to check how my client was lifting... she finally comes to check on me and says I'll leave you for 10 more minutes then I have to pull you out of there. So she goes to rinse me and is looking at my color giving me two options to cut it or to tone it darker but makes sure to let me know that if she tones me darker she will have to bleach me again next time but doesn't wanna have to do that. Lina tells me not to be scared when I see my hair because it wasn't toned. She's showing me where the old color lifted more orange than the top giving me the option to cut off the orange so it looks better or to tone it darker but is really pushing me to cut it bc if I don't today then I will have to next time she said. Okay so now I feel like in order to love my hair I have to cut it. Well she cuts it and SHORT. My hair was soooo long before. So does everyone who wants this look have to be this short to achieve that look? NO hair stylist can even try to think of a reason why I would have had to cut it so short. I wouldn't have asked for this color to have short hair nor would I have not cut it before applying bleach because now I'm paying for nothing? Well she says "oh too bad we didn't know we were cutting your hair bc now it's wasted money" and laughs. My total with a tip was $450. $450 for me to hate my hair and leave crying. It's now costed me even more to have people TRY to fix it what was done and buy products to help repair my hair. I didn't think it wouldn't damage my hair but no it was FRIED. After reaching out to her expressing how upset I was about my experience overall, and the disappointment in what my hair came out to be, she wouldn't give me any money back. She said she didn't do refunds and told me I could go back in the following week for a second session. I have no more hair to bleach or cut so why would I do that to myself? It is so damaged to the point that I feel the reason she said "cut it" was cut to hair how fried it came out to be. Let me be clear that I said it's okay if I don't get there in one session bc I know my hair was dark. I also let her know I had color on my hair from February 2018 so I knew my ends would have some color still (not box color) so she knew more or less what she was working with. She also threatened that if I wanted to go back to the salon to see someone else help me fix my hair that my boyfriend had to remove his review from Yelp or I wouldn't be welcome back. And the amount of bad mouthing I've heard her say about me to clients and the girls was pretty ridiculous. Oh and I've been blocked off of all social media leaving all my concerns to be left unresolved. Shows the level of professionalism she has and how much she cares about her bad work walking around with her name on it. I booked a consult with Amber and she was not polite. Thinking it was a bad day for her I went ahead and booked a balayage appt. Throughout the whole appt I did not feel acknowledged and she was not gentle. My hair is not what I requested. Whenever I tried talking she would cut me off or be short with me.
