Meandered in on a Saturday - right when they opened (4pm) with the intention of some cocktails and snacks. This bar is gorgeous - beautifully renovated with perfect nods to what once was. What a beautiful building and that's all. The potential is limitless. My experience today is what should never happen at any restaurant. From the servers lack of knowledge of anything on the menu to the cold food we waited 45 minutes for, this place ranked "the worst place ever" to have a meal at. Even the drinks fell short with lack of flavor and ingredients. The tables are low and the chairs are comfortable, but not the greatest to eat from. Great for drinks and maybe finger food? When the food came we changed seats to a table, which they have a few of. From the moment they served our food cold I could no longer hold my tongue. I asked to speak with the manager and began to tell her my concerns. Her response was unbelievable. "this is my third day here", we don't have a Chef today and all of the staff are new". I said why open then. I really need to preface that. There were four people dining. We all had burgers and fries. One of us had a veggie burger. If you can't serve burgers, hot and fries hot that's a real low bar that you can't seem to get under. I really hope the Owner reads this review and straightens out what's gone wrong here. They removed three burgers from the order as one of our friends was so hungry. He decided to eat his burnt on both sides, veggie burger and he showed this to the manager and she didn't even make a suggestion like let me just take it all off the bill. My wife is not a person that would send stuff back however I am and the couple we were with the wife is the person who would send things back and the husband's more of a I won't come back here kind of guy. Both me and my friends wife post reviews, me in yelp and her on google. Look for her review. This was a truly disappointing experience. we wound up going right down the block to a place that we always dine at and had great burgers and some fish n chips. Love the atmosphere and lounge feel of this place. Drinks were delish but pricey. Food was very good also but pricey. You feel like you're in NYC, but you're in Port Jervis, paying NYC prices. Drinks start at $16 and a glass of Cabernet is $18. Food- golden loaf (cornbread) was really good. Chicken lollipops were good but $18 for 3 is high. I ordered the pizza, it's basically a 1/3 of loaf of Italian bread w sauce, cheese, pepperoni and hot honey drizzle. For $15 I should've tried the sliders which were tiny but came with fries at least for $18. (Btw the truffle and duck fat fries were amazing) Charcuterie was decent, 2 types of cheeses and ~ 5 pieces of meat, some crackers and fruit, $22. My suggestion is don't come hungry unless you want to spend a fortune. Great place for a drink and a snack. There were 7 of us (6 ate) and our bill was $600. We celebrated a birthday so it was a treat! Service was good until it got busy then it was less frequent visits to our table. And we had to go to the bar to finally get the check. While it's a cool spot, I'm not sure I'd frequent this place often. Great for a special occasion. I also live ~30 mins away. read more

The restaurant and the ambiance were absolutely gorgeous. The drinks as were good, and had cute details added. However we were not pleased with the seating as we were sat at a very small table in the center of the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our appetizer, which was supposed to be the duck fat fries. They never arrived. After an hour and a half we were brought our entrees. (We put in our entire food order 5 min after arrival). I ordered the seafood risotto. Unfortunately, my food arrived cold. This place is definitely still trying to work out the kinks of being new, maybe with proper seating it could become a more refined dinner experience. read more

Finally made it here the other night for the first time. What a beautiful al place, the attention to detail was spot on. The drinks were delicious and well priced. I don't know what people are complaining about on here. I don't think they get out much to realize what a properly priced craft cocktail. $14 is cheap. The food was delicious. The Service was very attentive. The only complaint we had was they were playing doo-wop music which makes absolutely no sense with this very cool, very hip atmosphere. We had a party of 15 the place was completely empty so we pulled a chair up to our table for a friend. They told us we weren't allowed and that we had to move the chair back we asked if ppl were busting down the doors to get to that section but they couldn't give us a reason as to why we couldn't move a chair over. We would've spent 500 more dollars here and sat for another couple hours but instead we went down the road where drinks are half the price. Idk how you can expect to charge $16 a drink and not accommodate to customers, especially when you have no business on a Saturday night. read more

The place inside is beautiful. The drinks are pricey though. We didn't have any food, but if they were more accommodating we probably would have. We were a party of 10 though and where we sat only had 8 seats. We asked if we could get a couple other seats and the waitress asked the manager. We were told if we spent $500 we could have the VIP room. Needless to say we probably won't be back. read more

I went there with my friends and thought this place stood out from everything else in this area. If you're close by I would more than highly recommend you stop by the reserve for a drink.
