I've lived in the small state of Rhode Island for my whole life and never realized how many cool things there are to do that I've never heard of! The Rhode Island Brew Bus was one of those pleasant surprises. Took my boyfriend on the Sunday tour for his birthday. It was something new and different for us to do and I would definitely do it again. The beer, rum, and wine were great and the staff is super friendly. I would recommend getting a decent size group of friends together and booking a tour. It was a blast! Booking on the website is super easy too!

The 2 guys who ran the bus and tours were great. Visited 3 breweries and played trivia while driving. Great time!

I get it trips get cancelled when there aren't enough people signed up for it. But in this case, they didn't even bother to tell me/us. Even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. So being at the pickup point and its 5 minutes after we're supposed to leave, I call them to see what's going on and then they tell me it got cancelled and I should've been told Tuesday, but obviously wasn't and again, even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. As someone that doesn't get a lot of time out work to burn a day off with nothing to show for it is extremely frustrating, and honestly, I just can't risk getting burned again. The owner Ted called later that day offering to make it right and I was refunded the money for the trip and the other trip I cancelled but I can't risk burning another day off with nothing to show for it. The people have always been nice, so I won't completely knock them, but beware even getting a confirmation email the day doesn't mean the trip is happening.

Mobsters and Lobsters is a mafia story laden trip that ends up at the south shore popular lobster eatery. Although Mother Nature and the traffic in downtown Boston decided yo play games with us the owner who's name actually is Tom Collins, started off with a quick quip yo get the folks settled and the first round of beverages were begun. Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

The Gray Line New England Sea Coast tour was one of the highlights of 2016. This review on this…read morevery tour will be my very first Yelp review covering a subject in three different states. The nine hour tour started off in Boston Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Transportation Center then into northeast Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. This review breaks the New England Sea Coast tour by the three states for easy reading. Massachusetts: Hotel pickup to New Hampshire 286 The tour started when the bus picked us up at the hotel. This was the shuttle bus to the Massachusetts Transportation Building in downtown. This is where we paid the $69 prior to boarding the actual tour bus. The driver, who never gave his name was a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. As we left downtown, he told us the facts behind the landmarks we were passing that included the Massachusetts State House, the Old State House, a cemetery, and Boston Commons. After leaving Boston on the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge. Once we passed the Charles River, the driver took a hiatus on talking until we got off Interstate 95 near New Hampshire. As the bus cruised north on Interstate 93 and northeast on Interstate 95; I took in the New England roadside scenery in a very comfortable bus. Usually I get this phobia when I am not in front of the bus. This bus was so comfortable that it was not bothering me being in the middle. New Hampshire : An exit south of the New Hampshire border, the bus turned east on Route 286. In a few minutes we entered New Hampshire where we passed miles of wetlands. Our driver gave one fact after another from New Hampshire is expensive to live in, to most of the lobsters you will eat are male, to if there is a marsh nearby you will have a lot of sea food. When we made the left onto northbound New Hampshire Route 1A we would travel alongside the Atlantic Ocean until we met up with US 1 in Portsmouth. The first stop was Hampton Beach where we walked near the sandy beach and quickly looked in gift shops. Maine : Near the Pisquatica River at the Maine border we got on I-95 for a few miles. Now in Maine we soon got off the Interstate and in a few minutes were along the rocky Atlantic Coast of Maine. The driver continued to pass on his encyclopedia knowledge of the New England Coast. Our second stop was the Nuddle Lighthouse. The bus resumed along the Coast until it met up with US 1 near Ogunquit where recent suburban sprawl replaced forests. The tour guide would bring up all the Sprawl attributing it to the area becoming popular when George Bush started vacationing in Kennebunkport. Near the Rachel Carlson Wildlife Preserve, the charming side of Maine returned. In a few minutes was our third stop in Kennebunkport where we enjoyed a Maine Lobster Roll. After the third and final stop we headed back to the Atlantic Coast where we saw the vacation home of George Bush and the historic architecture of the estates in Kennebunkport. This was the northernmost point of the tour. The bus drove out of Kennebunkport in a Southwest direction on Maine Route 35. The last sight we saw was the Wedding House. As soon as we got on southbound Interstate 95 toward Boston, the tour officially was over. My final paragraph on the tour starts off by suggesting that you sit on the right side of the bus. The right side windows overlook the Atlantic Ocean, the Wedding House, and a nice view of the Charles River returning into Boston. In conclusion I highly recommend the Gray Line New England Sea Coast tour.

My friend and I booked our seats for the Brunch Tour on March 29, 2025 at 11:00 am through the Comedy Bus website. The website was easy to use and reserve our tickets. About 10:35am, I arrived at the pickup location - Brass Monkey: 800 Allen's Avenue Providence, RI. I parked in the parking lot in the back of the building and walked to the front of Brass Monkey where the Comedy Bus was waiting. About 10:40am, they started to let people board the bus. I gave them my name and they ensured waivers were signed. My friend and I chose a row near the front. Each seat had a form for us to choose which drinks we wanted at the two stops. On the back of the seats in front of us, there was a bottle opener. Since guests are welcome to bring their own beer and wine to drink on the bus, my friend and I packed a small lunchbox-sized cooler with Barefoot Spritzers. Everyone arrived pretty much on time except for 1 couple. Brad Pierce, our first comedian, talked briefly about sights and neighborhoods in Providence and he asked the last couple to board the bus, which superpower they would like to have and they said speed. Brad said yes, speed is a good one since you were almost late for the tour. The second comedian was Matt from Lil Rhody Laugh Riot. Both comedians were really funny and had us laughing the whole trip. Our first stop was Moonshine Alley. Our drinks were brought to us and chicken and waffles were served. The chicken was very moist and the waffles were hot and fresh. The Moonshine Sangria was also very good. The second stop was Viva Mexico Cantina Grill and we had our second drink with a plate of steak slices with chips, avocado, eggs and salsa. The Classic Red Sangria was refreshing. The steak was a little dry for me, but with the salsa it was a lot better. The chips and avocado were very good. Overall, what is better than brunch, drinks, and comedy. By the end of the tour, everyone felt like family. We were all sharing drinks and laughter. It was truly an unforgetabble morning/afternoon. We were kept on time and arrived back at Brass Monkey, the pickup location, exactly in 3 hours.

When I arrived she and her husband were having a very genial conversation with the owner Dave at the outdoor seating area. The vineyard is clearing some land and the entrance drive, at the time of my visit, was strewn with downed timber and a large dirt parking area at the end. There is a sign on the street pointing you into the driveway. Once the introductions were over Dave told us about the vineyards he has and the one's he plans to plant. Where he gets grapes from and how he produces his wine. We walked in to the converted barn which is beautifully decorated with a large bar in the center and comfortable seating areas around the perimeter. They have a rack of bottles ready to be sold and a gift box display. The day we went there were four or five wines available. Once a type has sold out, it's done for the season so those who know and like Dave's wine know when to head over to make their purchases. Some offerings are ready in Spring while others are not available until Autumn. I ended up purchasing two bottles each of three of the available wines. The Riesling is a bit dry and not too sweet. Lovely. The Cab had a nice 'full mouth' feel to it and a clean finish. I have been disappointed by other RI wine producers and to be honest I didn't have high expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. We also had an opportunity to meet Dave's wife and children. This is truly a family business. With each new arrival, Dave made a point to say hello, get their name, tell them his and pour them a glass. We sampled each of the available wines but others came in just to enjoy a glass. The atmosphere was such that everyone was chatty with each other even though we were strangers. It made for a very enjoyable visit. This vineyard is in the woods and the drive up is just beautiful along winding back roads. On a beautiful, sunny Saturday, it made for a very enjoyable day. If I could suggest just one thing it would be to offer a small snack. This may be a sticky wicket as they are a wine producer, not a restaurant and I'm sure that brings up a whole other set of laws. During our visit his 'intern' showed up with a spinach and pepperoni calzone which he offered all around. It was just delightful and I was very happy to have something to eat after sampling several wines. Maybe next time I'll just bring along a snack to share. I hope that's OK.
