This is must go to winery. It's family owned. David makes the whole experience amazing. I only like red wine HOWEVER I now have transformed to white ..from their vineyard. So in closing u can order a pizza and cozy up in the couches..have a bottle and be entertained by david..5 thumbs up

First time here. Looks like a great place

Such a great place. The owners are Melissa and Dave are the owners. It's like being with family. They don't see a stranger. You can bring outside food they do have a garbage on site but if full you need to take your garbage with you. Which you won't mind doing when you see the atmosphere here. It's tucked away. They have chickens on site. They are dog and kid friendly. They make you feel like family or friends forever. We can't wait to go back

Yesterday, Sunday, October 13th the weather was splendid and the colors were exploding from the trees so we decided to take a ride up Rt 102 Toward Chepachet.. about 5 or 6 miles BEFORE 102 junctions with Rt 44 we saw the sign for Mulberry Vineyard on the right. We had forgotten about this lovely vineyard and turned onto Pound Road! A couple of hundred yards up we turned into the parking lot. The place was busy and there were people sitting outside enjoying wine and an acoustic guitarist strumming away.. The building is rustic with barn board construction, tastefully decorated and there are plenty of couches and tables throughout. The three sided tasting bar had plenty of room . Dave, the owner waited on us directly and we each tasted 4 wines for $5.00 which was very very reasonable. We had not been there for over a year but Dave remembered us and shook my hand. We had a white and 3 reds which were delicious. We purchased a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon for $25.00 and went outside to listen to some music for awhile. All in all a lovely experience and we highly suggest a visit ! They are only open sat and Sunday's.. Here is their web page: www.mulberryvineyards.com That's all folks! If you are a wine drinker and like this sort of thing, add Mullberry to your list!

    Great Pinot!

I loved my experience with the RI Brew Bus! A couple of friends and I went on "Get the Pell Over…read moreHere" tour, and it was one of the best activities I've done in Rhode Island. The things that made it great: people who love what they do, great beer (and wine and rum), a sense of adventure, and a byproduct of learning. The guides were genuine, kind, and knowledgable. They really wanted to get everyone on the bus to have a sense of camaraderie, and I appreciate that because I like to befriend strangers. There were trivia questions between stops, souvenir glasses that we got to keep along the way, and alcohol that flowed like...wine? (For the record, I loved the variety of alcohol on the Pell tour because it included beer, wine, and rum. A great combination!) I was impressed by the amount of tastings we did. And while the bus didn't include, say, a hamburger, they did have brownies (YUM) and single serving bags of popcorn; but if you're the kind of person who gets hungry at every hour (*raises hand*), you can bring snacks on board. At the end of the day, I felt like I'd had a full adventure, and it was reminiscent of the pub crawls and walking tours I've done overseas--just that sense of: "Wow, today was really fun." As mentioned, it's clear that the RI Brew Bus guys love what they do, and in turn, you'll love it, too.

They also think ahead - there is a cooler in the back of the bus with water and ice to keep your beer and food cool. They also had dry snacks available too. You're going to have enough beer that you need it! After visiting 3 breweries I definitely was feeling good. I also ended up with glassware and bought some souvenirs as I went. If I could get a different itinerary or assemble an all new crowd of friends, I would definitely take the tour again!

They have tables to sit and drink wine or have lunch, and a flock of very cute fluffy chickens that scatter around. Some families were there and they had ordered a pizza to be delivered there and were drinking a few bottles of wine. We opted to try the 7 wines for $12.00 tasting. The woman doing the tasting was very detailed about the wines and we really enjoyed listening and asking questions. We enjoyed all the white wines with the Cayuga White being our favorite, so we got a bottle of that to take home. I also enjoyed the reds and the rose. The owner was very friendly and loved chatting when we asked about the huge unusual tree - it is his pride and joy - a chestnut tree! We would definitely come back. I do wish they gave more than a very small pour. In some of the wines, we couldn't really get the flavors as there was just not enough wine in the glass to taste fully.

He is the dodgiest businessman I've ever encountered, to the point where I feel obligated to write my first Yelp review. I do not like sharing negative information but this treatment pushed me to share my experience so that it won't happen to anyone else. To reserve a tour, you first have to pay a deposit at the time of booking (fair enough) but then you have to pay in full for each person ($70/pp) the week before the tour. The owner, Joe, also encouraged me to pay for gratuity for each person ahead of the tour but at least I didn't do that piece on my credit card. So before even setting foot on this tour, I paid $840 for a party of 12. As luck would have it, our tour date was the weekend of Winter Storm Riley, that super windy Nor'easter/ Bombogenesis! We had friends joining from out of town who couldn't make it due to canceled flights and power outages. I got in touch with Joe the morning of our tour and told him 3 people couldn't join us (which later turned into 4 ppl), could he please help us out so we didn't have to pay in full for everyone who wasn't able to attend due to extreme weather and got the response of "Hey no problem! I will look when I get home... I'm already down here setting up.. so just come have a good time! :-)" Foolishly, I thought this meant he would help us out. I was wrong. Although Joe was at the restaurants before, during and after our tour, and had them rearrange the place settings to be set-up for our smaller group, he claimed there was nothing he could do about the extra $280 I had paid. I talked about this with him at the end of the tour (he awkwardly showed up at our last stop and took over for our much more personable tour guide) and he kept telling me that he would look into when he got home on his computer but there was nothing he could do now. While we were standing in the restaurant. Read: I don't want you to stiff us on the tip. (I did still tip our tour guide.) So the next day I followed up with him and asked for an update on the extra $280 I paid and was told he was working with the restaurants to see if he could get a refund for what he paid. When I reminded him he had told me this would be "no problem", he ended the email by saying "So I'm working with the locations to see if I can retrieve money back so I need some time. I promise I will do my best to help you out." I wrote to him and asked for another update yesterday, 7 days after our tour, before I wrote any reviews. No response. After not hearing back from Joe, who had told me he was "working with the locations", I decided to call one of the locations. Guess what? Joe had never contacted them. The owner was very sorry to hear this and said of course he would have helped out. He even kindly offered us free food the next time we go in since, as he said, we were getting "a sh!tty deal". The restaurants were great. Once caught in this lie, Joe told me there was nothing he could do about a refund but he offered me another wine tour. Riiiiight. A few ways Joe could have made this less painful of an experience was (1) not to lie repeatedly about helping me out with a refund. Why string me along? (2) given us something for the $280 I paid. If nothing else, give us the wine that I had pre-paid for, or the small bites at the restaurants. Just as a good business gesture of "Hey I'm sorry so many friends couldn't make it due to the insane weather and you have to eat the costs...here's an extra _ANYTHING_ for your trouble!" He had enough time to tell the restaurants our group size was smaller, just not enough to return some of the extra money he pocketed, so we paid the extra money for absolutely nothing. For $840 we got: 3 stops at restaurants basically next door to each other (Area Four, Lion's Tail, Fuji) At Area Four: 1 bottle of red, 1 bottle of white (retails for $19.99) poured amongst 9 people (incl tour guide) plus two small cheese flatbreads At Lion's Tail: 1 bottle of red and 1 bottle of white poured amongst 9 and two meat/cheese boards (several vegetarians on our tour but you don't get asked about the food that's been pre-arranged) At Fuji: 1 bottle of wine and 1 of champagne poured amongst 10 people (owner, Joe, jumped in here) plus edamame and spicy tuna rolls for the table (again, many didn't eat these) In summary, we paid $840 for 6 bottles of wine plus nibbles from the host kitchens that many wouldn't eat, and got lied to by the owner for a week until he gave up the lie and told me he has a no refund policy. It was painful. Please don't make the same mistake!

The winery is open 12-4 on weekends and allows you to bring in your own food, which was the perfect way for us to enjoy some local wine in a beautiful setting. There is seating inside the house, outside on a covered patio area, and they have tables scattered across the lawn so there are many options to pick from. We each decided on a wine flight before selecting some bottles and paired it with the snack trays we brought from home and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon together on the grounds of this vineyard. One thing to note, the road to the winery is very narrow so they employ a metered light system at the beginning of the road. It's important to wait for the red light to turn off before driving down the narrow stretch. The person in front of me didn't do this and ended up having to back up (reverse) down a narrow and winding path to allow the incoming cars (who had the right of way) through. For visitors with mobility needs, there is a grass parking lot and lots of cobblestones and lose rock to navigate during your time here, so be mindful of that.
